There was an empty park bench under an old tree. I took a seat on it. I was feeling a bit down. A strange young boy ran towards me, out of breath. He stopped right before me saying excitedly, “Look what I found!”
In his hand was a flower, with its petals (花瓣) all worn. Wanting him to take his dead flower and go off to play, I forced a weak smile and then turned away. But instead of leaving, he sat next to my side and placed the flower to his nose and said with overacted surprise, “It sure smells pretty and I guess it must be beautiful, too. That’s why I picked it; here, it’s for you.”
I knew I must take it, or he might never leave. So I reached for the flower, and replied, “Just what I need.” But rather than placing the flower in my hand, he held it in mid‑air without reason. It was then that I realized for the very first time that the boy was blind.
At that moment I heard my voice shaking; tears shone in the sun as I thanked him for picking a very best one. “You’re welcome,” he smiled, and then ran off.
Through the eyes of a blind child, I finally could see the problem was not with the world; it was me. And for all of those times I myself had been blind, I determined to see the beauty in life and appreciate every second that’s mine.

四、段落续写(150词左右)
Paragraph 1:
I sat alone on the bench, holding the worn flower gently in my palm. Though its petals were faded and wrinkled, it looked extremely precious in my eyes. I was lost in thought, touched deeply by the blind boy’s optimism. Unable to see the world, he still chose to find beauty and share kindness with others. By contrast, I, with healthy eyes, often felt upset and complained about life. The little flower was far more than a gift; it was a warm reminder that beauty exists everywhere if we are willing to discover it.
Paragraph 2:
Days later, I returned to the same park, hoping I could run into the little boy again. Fortunately, I soon saw his lovely figure running around the lawn. I walked up to him gratefully and gave him a bunch of fresh flowers. I told him his pure kindness had changed my attitude towards life. The boy smiled brightly, his face shining with innocence. From then on, I always kept a positive mind, learned to appreciate small blessings in life and tried to pass on warmth to others just like the little boy.
