Because folk customs refer to the products and practices of a certain social group for a long time. They are formed in the past and last until now. They havedifferent forms such as art, music, dance, food and even spoken expressions.

Folk instrument: banjo. Banjo is a folk musical instrument. It has long strings and a round body.
It looks a bit like a guitar, but it makes its own special sound and style. It appeared in Africa for the first time and was brought to America. Now, it is common in American folk music and has spread to different countries of the world.

Folk cuisine: laba congee. Laba congee is a special kind of porridge in China. It is made with beans, nuts and dried fruits. This is a traditional dish enjoyed to celebrate the Laba Festival and bring good luck to the new year.

Folk costume: kilt. A kilt is a traditional skirt that people wear in Scotland. It is made with colourful clothing called tartan. Men wear kilts for important events and elebrations.
