Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) and night markets, two very different things, have recently become a popular combination that young people enjoy.
Instead of happening in hospitals or clinics(诊所) during the day, services like check—ups, acupuncture(针灸), massages(推拿) and healthy living advice are now being offered by TCM doctors at busy night markets, drawing many young people.
In cities like Beijing and Hefei, health departments are working with local hospitals to build booths at night markets to give free check—ups to people.
Young people may not have time to visit hospitals during the day, so this new trend has quickly drawn their interest. Moreover, night markets are more relaxing than hospitals, and doctors are friendlier there, which makes the experience better and helps people get more involved in their health care.
Besides getting treated or checked, young people can also learn about TCM culture at these markets. These places are not only good for TCM check—ups but also great for teaching people about TCM ideas.
In the past, people would travel to enjoy a city's culture at night markets by shopping for clothes, local crafts(手工艺品) or eating street food. Now, TCM gives them another reason to visit. People can get check-ups, buy TCM herbal sachets(草药香包) for their friends and family, or enjoy a cup of herbal tea themselves.

Recently, a video on the Internet got lots of attention. About 1, 000 students across China talked about what they wanted to be in the future. Some students wanted to be scientists because they thought that science was interesting. Other students would like to be teachers or doctors. They thought that their parents would be happy if they chose the jobs.
When I was a young boy, my parents told me I could do what I liked. I usually laughed and thought this was a bit silly. However, I really thanked them for their advice and helping with my learning. At the age of 18, I got the excellent advice from several teachers. They told me how important it was to have a dream. Then I volunteered (自愿) to work at a summer camp in Guangzhou. There I learned that making dreams come true is the biggest test in my life. All these experiences made me want to work as a teacher.
I am looking for more ways to tell my students to keep their dreams alive. According to my favourite book, The Four Disciplines of Execution, there are four steps to reach what you want. Pay attention to your “important goals”, develop steps to reach them, try to make progress and finally check your progress.
