C What Makes a Hero?
Throughout history, we have looked up to heroes. From ancient warriors to modern-day scientists, heroes have inspired us to be better. But what exactly makes a person a hero?
Some people think that heroes are born with special abilities. They believe that heroes are naturally brave, strong, and talented. However, this is not true. Most heroes are ordinary people who choose to do extraordinary things.
Heroes are not defined by their power or status. They are defined by their actions. A hero is someone who helps others, even when it is not easy. They show courage in the face of danger and kindness in the face of difficulty. They often make sacrifices so that others can benefit.
Heroes also come in many forms. Some heroes fight for justice and freedom. Others dedicate their lives to helping the poor or the sick. Some heroes are everyday people who perform simple acts of kindness.
In conclusion, anyone can be a hero. You do not need to be famous or powerful. All you need is a good heart and the willingness to help others. As the saying goes, "Heroes are made, not born."

九、阅读回答(阅读下面的短文,根据短文内容回答下列问题,每题答案不超过6个单词)
Heroes are everywhere. They are not always the people we see on TV or in movies. Sometimes, heroes are the people closest to us—our parents, teachers, or friends.
My father is my hero. He came from a poor family and had to work hard from a young age. Despite many difficulties, he never gave up. He studied hard and eventually became a doctor. Now, he spends his time helping people in rural areas who cannot afford medical care.
What makes my father a hero is not his success, but his kindness. He always puts others first. He has taught me that true heroism lies in helping others and making a positive difference in the world.
I believe that everyone has the potential to be a hero. You don't need to be rich or famous. All you need is a caring heart and a willingness to help others.
