Wednesday, 22 July
Today was an amazing day. There was a total solar eclipse (日食) in Changsha! I woke up early because I couldn’t wait to see it!
My friends and I went down to the Xiang River to find a good place to watch it. We took cameras, chairs, food and drink, and special glasses so we could look at it. Lots of people gathered there to watch too. Slowly, the moon moved in front of the sun. It looked like someone hit a hole in the sun! It got darker and darker as the moon slowly covered the sun.
At 9:26 a.m, the moon completely covered the sun. The city went dark. The crowd (人群) gasped and cheered. The light of the sun made a ring of light around the moon. I took this photo then. The total eclipse lasted for over five minutes! Then it passed, and the sky started to get brighter again.
I was really surprised by the eclipse this morning. In the afternoon, I spent hours reading about astronomers, eclipses, and how the planets move in our solar system. The universe is simply amazing! I also watched some videos with famous Chinese astronauts. I want to become an astronomer or an astronaut someday too. The sky is the limit!

Some people already went to space with their spaceships. Because of the w 52 gravity and other environmental factors (环境因素) in space, they could only stay for a short time there.
It is no longer a dream for people to l 53 the Earth for space.

much hotter是形容词比较级,比较级固定搭配用than;as用于原级比较,then、like无比较含义。
固定句型It is +形容词+for sb. to do sth.(对某人来说做某事是……
固定搭配send spaceships into space表示“发射飞船进入太空”,into强调进入内部;in、on、at均不符合搭配。
不定式to explore作目的状语,表示努力工作的目的;for、of、with不能引导目的。
固定搭配be interested in(对……
句中in the future(在将来)是一般将来时标志,will后接动词原形;shall主语只能为I/we,can表能力,should表建议,均不符合时态。

根据文中“It gives us light and heat”,太阳系只有太阳这一颗恒星,only符合语境,表达“唯一的”含义。
根据文中“It gives us light and heat”,太阳为地球提供光和热,没有太阳地球就会寒冷,cold符合语境。

第三段提到:“In 2018, China began to select the astronauts... astronauts were chosen in three kinds...”,后文紧接着说“chosen”(被选择),因此“select”意为“选择”(Choose)。
32.第三段明确指出:“Gui became the first payload specialist to enter space.”,桂海潮是第一位进入太空的有效载荷专家(payload specialist),与选项B中的payload expert意思一致。
33.第五段中桂海潮提到为了提高身体素质所做的努力:“So, I added more exercise. learnt from other astronauts. and tried some of the training methods used by pilots.”。 Do more exercise(增加锻炼);c. Learn from other astronauts(向其他航天员学习);d. Practise the training methods of pilots(尝试飞行员使用的训练方法)。
34.第六段明确指出:“Because he had the habit of doing sports, he was able to keep up with this difficult training.”,说明他能跟上高强度训练是因为他有做运动的习惯。

C“Do you want to go to the moon?”
A“So there are no animals or plants there”符合逻辑,与上文形成因果关系。
E“When the Sun shines in the day, the temperature is very high”与后文形成对比,符合逻辑。
B“The Moon is also a very quiet world”准确概括本段内容。
D“You can take some photos with your camera”与后文衔接自然。
41.C 42.E 43.F 44.A 45.D
