A.To talk about the origin of the high-five hand gesture. B.To show the popularity of the high-five hand gesture. C.To make a comparison between two other hand gestures. 20.(1.5分)What is an original meaning of the handshake gesture? A.Gratitude. B.Love. C.Respect. 【答案】18.B 19.A 20.C 【原文】      M: Good afternoon, everyone. Earlier on in today’s lecture, I mentioned the importance of hand gestures and said that I’d touch on the history of the gestures. I’d like to focus on two in particular: the high five and the handshake. The high-five hand gesture is generally used as a celebration. Many see its origins in baseball. Two US teams lay claim to inventing the high five: the Los Angeles Dodgers in 1977 and the Louisville Cardinals in 1978. It’s quite likely that it was neither, and the gesture might have a much earlier origin. It’s very similar to a 1920s Jazz Age gesture known as the “low five” or “giving skin”. The other gesture I’m going to mention today is the handshake. It dates back as far as ancient Greece. Its original meaning is to convey trust, respect and equality. In the 17th-century European marriage paintings, we find many examples of handshakes between husband and wife. Now, of course, the handshake serves many purposes: meeting, greeting, expressing gratitude or completing an agreement. Besides, it’s also used to offer congratulations, which serves the same purpose as the high five. 二、阅读理解 (本题7.5分)A Lesson Plan from Life Planning Education:A Youth Development Program Purpose:To learn about body language and how to use body language Materials (材料):cards; container Time:25-35 minutes Planning Notes: •Write the words below on cards: angry, disappointed, shy, afraid, sad, happy, nervous, excited, bored •Place the cards in the container so volunteers can draw them out one at a time. Steps: First make sure that all volunteers know what body language means(expressing feelings through body movement and facial expressions).Go over the following instructions: •I’ll need at least 9 volunteers to play a game similar to charades •The first volunteer will draw a card with a feeling written on it and act out the feeling without using words. •The rest of the group will guess what feeling is being communicated. Once someone correctly guesses the feeling, the next person in line will draw a card and act out what is written on it, again without words. •The game will continue until there are no more cards or until time is up. At last, end the activity using the discussion points below: •Can you give examples of when someone’s body language communicated a different message from what he/she actually said? •Sometimes one person is offended (冒犯) by another’s body language. How can you work to keep that from happening? Answers may include: be honest and direct; match your non-verbal messages to your verbal ones; be aware of cultural attitudes toward different kinds of body language. 21.(2.5分)To whom is the text most likely written? A.Teachers. B.Students. C.Volunteers. D.Young parents. 22.(2.5分)What do we know about the game? A.One volunteer draws all cards. B.Volunteers guess feelings one by one. C.Each volunteer is given 25-35 minutes. D.Feelings on cards are shown non-verbally. 23.(2.5分)What are you advised to do to avoid offensive body language? A.Learn about different cultures. B.Behave humorously. C.Act indirectly. D.Just let it be. 根据文章标题“A Lesson Plan from Life Planning Education: A Youth Development Program”(人生规划教育课程计划:青少年发展计划)及文章第一段“Purpose: To learn about body language and how to use body language”(目的:了解肢体语言以及如何使用肢体语言)以及全文可知,本文是一堂关于肢体语言运用的课程设计,由此可推知,文章的受众是教师。故选A。 22. 根据Steps部分中的“The first volunteer will draw a card with a feeling written on it and act out the feeling without using words.”(•第一位志愿者将画一张写有感受的卡片,并表演出这种感受,但不说话。)及“Once someone correctly guesses the feeling, the next person in line will draw a card and act out what is written on it, again without words.”(一旦有人正确猜出了这种感觉,排队的下一个人就会抽出一张卡片并表演出卡片上的内容,同样不用言语。) 根据文章最后一段“•Sometimes one person is offended ( 冒犯) by another’s body language. How can you work to keep that from happening? Answers may include: be honest and direct; match your non-verbal messages to your verbal ones; be aware of cultural attitudes toward different kinds of body language.”(•有时一个人会被另一个人的肢体语言冒犯。 A。 When people ask about my experience of learning Cantonese, I recount a journey driven by unending curiosity and a strong desire to connect with a dynamic culture. Growing up in a Russian family, my fascination with languages grew thanks to my father, a language expert. It’s during a cultural appreciation class in junior high that I was first introduced to the world of Hong Kong films, famous for their characteristic action-packed dramas and storytelling styles. However, what really amazed me was the uniqueness of the language, Cantonese, which sparked an urgent need within me to explore it and the rich culture behind. This marked the beginning of a thrilling linguistic journey. Learning Cantonese posed challenges, such as unfamiliar characters, complex tones, and different grammar structures, yet I persevered. Immersed in textbooks and available online courses, I practiced the tones every day until my pronunciation flowed naturally. Cantonese dramas and music also played a role in familiarizing me with its rhythm. To truly grasp the essence of Cantonese, I knew that studying alone wasn’t enough — I needed firsthand experience. So, I took a gap year to pack my bags for Hong Kong, a city featuring the lively heartbeat of Cantonese culture. Buried in its busy streets and daily conversations, from casual chats to food ordering, I found myself enveloped in a linguistic wonderland. Within a few months, my Cantonese proficiency flourished, fueling a surge of confidence. My explorations extended beyond the streets. I enrolled in formal language classes that offered professional guidance. Through hard work, I successfully completed all the courses in Cantonese Linguistics. From then on, I’ve been passionately committed to spreading the Cantonese culture, ensuring its richness reaches a wider audience. Today, I continue my Cantonese voyage with unflagging enthusiasm. It has transformed into more than just a linguistic pursuit; it grants me a passport to sincere connections, profound insights, and heartfelt admiration for its one-of-a-kind culture. 24.(0分)What truly inspired the author to learn Cantonese? C.To pursue career opportunities. D.To attend formal language classes. 26.Which best describes the author’s learning process of Cantonese? A.Challenging but strategic. B.Effortless and enjoyable. C.Demanding but creative. D.Adventurous and eventful. 27.What message does the text mainly convey? A.Education is the passport to the future. B.Language is the road map of a culture. C.Opportunity favors the prepared mind. D.Success belongs to those with curiosity. 根据第二段“However, what really amazed me was the uniqueness of the language, Cantonese, which sparked an urgent need within me to explore it and the rich culture behind.(但真正让我惊叹的是粤语这门语言的独特性,这让我迫切想要探索这门语言及其背后丰富的文化)”可知,粤语自身的独特性是作者学习粤语的真正动因。 25. 根据第四段“To truly grasp the essence of Cantonese, I knew that studying alone wasn’t enough — I needed firsthand experience. So, I took a gap year to pack my bags for Hong Kong, a city featuring the lively heartbeat of Cantonese culture.(为真正掌握粤语的精髓,我深知独自学习远远不够,需要亲身实践,因此我休学前往承载着鲜活粤语文化的香港)”可知,作者前往香港是为了沉浸式体验粤语文化、近距离接触语言环境。 26. 根据第三段“Learning Cantonese posed challenges, such as unfamiliar characters, complex tones, and different grammar structures, yet I persevered. Immersed in textbooks and available online courses, I practiced the tones every day until my pronunciation flowed naturally.(学习粤语存在诸多难点,陌生的文字、复杂的声调、不同的语法结构,但我坚持下来,通过课本、网课、粤语影视音乐多种方法针对性练习)”可知,作者的学习过程充满挑战,但讲究方法、极具策略。 27. Around one million people depend on American Sign Language (ASL) as their primary way to communicate. While ASL plays a significant role in children’s language development, mastering it often presents great challenges. Data show that 98 percent of hearing-impaired (听力受损) people do not receive their education in sign language and 72 percent of families do not communicate by signing. Given that nine-out-of-ten children who are deaf are born to hearing parents, learning sign language is an essential pathway to communication and connection within these families. Now, a new app makes it easier to learn. Fingerspelling.xyz, an app from Hello Monday — a creative studio — employs webcams to track users’ hand movements while checking their accuracy (准确性). It initially presents users with a series of words and also the corresponding hand positions. Then they practice each sign, getting real-time feedback (反馈) until they can properly complete the word. Although the app will not make them fluent in ASL, the creators hope that it will encourage people to further take a course on ASL and fingerspelling. The new app is different from other language apps because of its gaming-like technology, which offers a more engaging learning experience than the traditionally used methods of learning sign language based on books and videos. It’s important to note that in ASL, fingerspelling is used for names, when there is no sign for a word, or when a person doesn’t know the sign. Available for free, the game was created together with The American Society for Deaf Children, an organization devoted to bringing families together through sign language. The organization also offers online courses and a collection of children’s stories that were translated (翻译) into ASL. All these tools are driven by a fundamental belief that language is a gift which is too important not to share. 28.(0分)What does the author imply in paragraph 2? A.Many people don’t take ASL seriously. B.ASL should be promoted to a wider population. C.It is too difficult for people to learn ASL. D.ASL enjoys great popularity in the country. 29.How does the app Fingerspelling.xyz work? A.By displaying and correcting the hand positions. B.By recognizing and translating the texts. C.By collecting and researching the user’s feedback. D.By tracking and meeting the user’s requirement. 30.What is special about Fingerspelling.xyz? A.It enables its users to master ASL. B.It includes various books and videos. C.It makes the learning more attractive. D.It is available at no cost. 31.What is the purpose of the text? A.To recommend a product B.To record an event. C.To introduce an organization. D.To comment on an invention. 【答案】28.B 29.A 30.C 31.A 【导语】本文是一篇说明文。 根据第二段“Data show that 98 percent of hearing-impaired (听力受损) people do not receive their education in sign language and 72 percent of families do not communicate by signing. Given that nine-out-of-ten children who are deaf are born to hearing parents, learning sign language is an essential pathway to communication and connection within these families.(数据显示,98%的听力受损者并未接受手语教育,而 72%的家庭也不通过手语进行交流。鉴于十之八九的失聪儿童是由听力正常的父母所生,学习手语是这些家庭内实现沟通与联系的重要途径)”可知,作者在第二段中意在表达应当将美国手语推广至更广泛的群体中。故选B。 29.细节理解题。根据第三段“Now, a new app makes it easier to learn. Fingerspelling. xyz, an app from Hello Monday — a creative studio — employs webcams to track users’ hand movements while checking their accuracy (准确性). It initially presents users with a series of words and also the corresponding hand positions. Then they practice each sign, getting real-time feedback (反馈) until they can properly complete the word.(现在,一款新的应用程序让学习变得更加容易。来自创意工作室“Hello Monday”的“Fingerspelling.xyz”这款应用程序利用网络摄像头来追踪用户的手部动作,并检查其准确性(准确性)。它首先会向用户展示一系列单词以及对应的手部姿势。然后,用户会练习每一个手势,会得到实时反馈(反馈),直到能够正确地完成单词)”可知,这款名为“Fingerspelling.xyz”的应用程序通过展示并纠正手指摆放的位置运作。故选A。 30. 根据第四段“The new app is different from other language apps because of its gaming-like technology, which offers a more engaging learning experience than the traditionally used methods of learning sign language based on books and videos.(这款新应用程序与其它语言学习应用程序不同,原因在于其采用了类似游戏的科技手段,相比传统的基于书籍和视频的学习手语方式,这种新方法能提供更具吸引力的学习体验)”可知,Fingerspelling.xyz让学习变得更加有趣。故选C。 31. 根据第三段“Now, a new app makes it easier to learn. Fingerspelling.xyz, an app from Hello Monday — a creative studio — employs webcams to track users’ hand movements while checking their accuracy (准确性).(现在,一款新的应用程序让学习变得更加容易。来自创意工作室“Hello Monday”的“Fingerspelling.xyz”这款应用程序利用网络摄像头来追踪用户的手部动作,并检查其准确性)”结合文章主要说明了约一百万美国人依赖美式手语,但普及度低。一款新APP通过摄像头实时指导手势,让学习更有趣,旨在推广手语、帮助听障家庭沟通。可知,这篇文章的目的是推荐一款产品。故选A。 Politicians, business bosses, and other types of leaders indeed tend to like speaking with their hands, but does the habit influence how others interpret those words? To get to the bottom of it, a team of researchers from the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics conducted a series of experiments on volunteers who viewed videos of people speaking with and without hand movements. After showing the volunteers videos of people speaking under different conditions, the researchers asked them questions about what they had heard. Some conditions involved the speaker stressing different parts of words in a sentence. Other conditions involved the speaker making various types of hand gestures, such as pointing and sweeping movements. The team recorded the volunteers as they viewed the video recordings, questioning the volunteers afterward about what they had seen and heard. Researchers found that the volunteers were more affected by syllables (音节) spoken with the conjunction of hand gestures: In 20 percent of the cases, the viewers were more likely to have heard and interpreted the word spoken with a hand gesture. Interestingly, however, volunteers were 40 percent more likely to hear the wrong sound when a mismatch between the word spoken and the hand gesture occurred. Body language expert Carol Goman said, “Studies have found that speaking with your hands really can change the view of your character. People who communicate through active gesturing tend to be considered warm, agreeable, and energetic, while those who remain still are seen as logical, cold, and analytic. In fact, a 2015 study that studied TED Talks, which posts international talks online, found that the most popular speakers used nearly twice as many gestures as the least popular speakers used.” The research team said that their findings suggest that hand gestures are an important part of in-person communication that have a direct impact on what the listener hears. Furthermore, they suggest that our responses to hand gestures may be something we learn as we grow up. 32.(0分)What’s the researchers’ purpose of doing the experiments? A.To examine the volunteers’ interpreting skills. B.To test the effect hand gestures have on speaking. C.To record the volunteers’ questions for the speaker. D.To confirm the influence hand movements have on leaders. 33.What did the researchers find in the experiments? A.Hand movements affected what the listener heard. B.The speaker stressed different parts of words in a sentence. C.People speaking with different hand gestures had different effects. D.The most popular speakers used more gestures than the least popular speakers did. 34.What does the underlined word “conjunction” mean in Paragraph 3? A.Assistance. B.Combination. C.Disturbance. D.Interpretation. 35.What may the researchers agree with? A.Gestures can influence others’ view on one’s personality. B.Understanding gestures is a must in every language. C.In-person communication helps interpret gestures. D.Responses to gestures are learning behavior. 根据第一段“Politicians, business bosses, and other types of leaders indeed tend to like speaking with their hands, but does the habit influence how others interpret those words? To get to the bottom of it, a team of researchers from the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics conducted a series of experiments on volunteers who viewed videos of people speaking with and without hand movements. (政治家、商业老板和其他类型的领导人确实倾向于用手说话,但是这种习惯会影响其他人如何理解这些话吗?为了弄清真相,马克斯·普朗克心理语言学研究所的一组研究人员对志愿者进行了一系列实验,这些志愿者观看了人们说话时有和没有手部动作的视频。)”可知,研究人员做实验的目的是测试手势对说话的影响。故选B。 33.细节理解题。根据第三段中“In 20 percent of the cases, the viewers were more likely to have heard and interpreted the word spoken with a hand gesture. Interestingly, however, volunteers were 40 percent more likely to hear the wrong sound when a mismatch between the word spoken and the hand gesture occurred. (在20%的情况下,观众更有可能听到并理解用手势说的话。然而,有趣的是,当说的话和手势不匹配时,志愿者听到错误声音的可能性要高出40%)”可知,研究人员在实验中发现手的动作会影响听者听到的内容。故选A。 34. 根据第三段中的“In 20 percent of the cases, the viewers were more likely to have heard and interpreted the word spoken with a hand gesture. (在20%的案例中,观众更有可能听到并理解结合手势说的话。)”可推知,此处是指志愿者更容易受到与手势相结合的音节的影响,所以conjunction意为“结合”。故选B。 35.推理判断题。根据最后一段中“Furthermore, they suggest that our responses to hand gestures may be something we learn as we grow up. (此外,他们还认为,我们对手势的反应可能是在成长过程中习得的。)”可推知,研究人员可能认同“对手势的反应是一种学习行为”的观点。故选D。 (本题12.5分)The Lost Art of Eye Contact If the title of this article caught your eye, that’s a good start — it might even help you reflect on where your eyes typically focus and where they don’t. 36(2.5分) The alerts and endless digital noise have shifted our gaze (凝视) away from the eyes of others and toward our devices. But devices are only one of the challenges surrounding this lost art. Let’s examine the very term we use: “eye contact”. This phrase frames eye contact as a static (静态的) object, something we either “have” or “don’t”. 37(2.5分) It fails to recognize eye contact as a dynamic and interactive process that requires intention and awareness. 38(2.5分) Great artists use all their senses to absorb information and deepen their connection with their environment. Similarly, your eyes offer you a powerful way to connect more deeply and vividly with those around you. Is it really that simple? Yes! Eye contact is the result of trying to actively engage in communication — both understanding and being understood. But in practice, it is far from simple sometimes. It's easy to have great eye contact when you’re completely at ease. But when you’re feeling self-conscious (不自在的), simply trying to focus on the other person may not be enough. 39(2.5分) Try an exercise called “Silent Storytelling”. You’ll tell a story but without sound. Recruit a friend or two and use your eyes, face, hands, and body to convey your message. Pay close attention to your audience’s reactions — raised eyebrows, widening eyes, or nodding. 40(2.5分) What you’ll discover is that “good eye contact” comes naturally when you need to assess their understanding without the help of sound. Gradually, through repeated practice, you can master the art of eye contact. A.This view oversimplifies the concept. B.This reflects a shift from face-to-face engagement. C.Instead, we should consider eye contact as an art form. D.The key point of interaction is emphasized accordingly. E.These signals will indicate whether they’re following along. F.Eye contact is becoming increasingly rare in our lives in the digital time. G.Thus, it is high time you needed effective practice to regain this lost social skill. 根据后文“The alerts and endless digital noise have shifted our gaze (凝视) away from the eyes of others and toward our devices. (各种提醒和无尽的数字噪音已经把我们的视线从别人的眼睛转移到了我们的电子设备上。)”可知,后文说明了电子设备让人们不再注视他人眼睛这一情况,F选项“Eye contact is becoming increasingly rare in our lives in the digital time. (在数字时代,眼神交流在我们的生活中正变得越来越罕见。)”能够引出后文内容,同时紧扣文章标题,符合语境。故选F项。 37.根据前文“This phrase frames eye contact as a static (静态的) object, something we either “have” or “don’t”. (这个短语将眼神交流定义为一种静态的事物,是我们要么“拥有”要么“没有”的东西。)”以及后文“It fails to recognize eye contact as a dynamic and interactive process that requires intention and awareness. Think of it as the “how” of what we say, not just the “what”. When we talk, we don’t just use words. We use our tone, our body language, 57(1.5分) even the pauses between words. All of these things send messages. That’s meta communication. Let me share an example. I once had an 58(1.5分) (employ) who always said, “Sure, no problem” whenever I gave her a task. It sounded great, didn’t it? But her slumped shoulders (下垂的肩膀) and quiet sigh told 59(1.5分) different story. Her words were positive, but her body language revealed she was stressed. This is meta communication in action. The literal meaning of her words was positive, but the real message 60(1.5分) (hide) in how she said it. Understanding meta communication can make you a better leader, friend and problem solver, 61(1.5分) helps you understand what people really mean, not just what they say. So next time you are in a conversation, pay attention 62(1.5分) more than just the words. Listen to the tone, watch the body language and 63(1.5分) (face) expressions, and trust your instincts (直觉). You might be surprised by what you discover! Everyone conveys (传递) their messages 64(1.5分) (different). Use this knowledge to understand others better and to express 65(1.5分) (you) more clearly. That’s the real power of meta communication. 【答案】 56.realizing 57.and 58.employee 59.a 60.was hidden 61.which 62.to 63.facial 64.differently 65.yourself 【导语】本文是一篇说明文。主要介绍了元交流的概念,通过例子说明其重要性,强调关注非言语信息以更好理解他人和表达自己。 【详解】56.考查非谓语动词。句意:元交流就像一种我们都在使用却没有意识到的秘密语言。介词without后接动名词形式realizing作宾语,故填realizing。 57.考查连词。句意:我们使用我们的语调、肢体语言,甚至词语之间的停顿。结合语境可知,our tone, our body language和even the pauses between words是并列关系,应用并列连词and连接,故填and。 58.考查名词。句意:我曾经有一个员工,每当我给她一项任务时,她总是说:“当然,没问题”。根据句中whenever I gave her a task可知,空处应用名词employee,意为“员工”,根据空前的an可知,此处应填可数名词单数,故填employee。 59. pay attention to是固定短语,意为“注意”,故填to。 63. Dear Peter, _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Yours sincerely, Li Hua 【答案】Dear Peter, I’m sorry to hear that you’re worried about communication problems due to unfamiliarity with Chinese body language. For about two years, I had a very faithful running friend. I could count on him to be waiting for me in rain or snow. This giant, orange cat was probably the most social cat I had ever encountered. It was remarkable for a cat. He would see me climbing the hill and would join in, running alongside me for about a quarter mile until he meowed (喵喵叫) enough to get me to stop and pet him. And then I’ d give him a stroke (轻抚) on the back. Although he was a rather fat cat, I always brought him some cat food. On fairweather afternoons, I would pick up my fouryearold granddaughter from preschool and we would visit the cat together. She would insist on bringing him an afternoon treat. One day, while my granddaughter was pouring out the plastic bag full of cat food, she brought up a good point. In a matteroffact way, as if this idea had only just come to her fouryearold mind, she cried out, “Grandma! How long have we been visiting this cat?” She spoke as if she were scolding (责备) me. “And we don’t even know his name!” she continued. We’ve got to call him something! She was right. For months, I had been sharing my morning runs with this cat. My granddaughter then stepped back and, deep in thought, studied the cat carefully as he ate the Happy Meal. Then she announced, “I’ve got it! Tom!” I looked at her, puzzled.“He’s Tom!” That’s what we’ll call him!” she continued. All the regular runners, walkers, bikers and visitors to the greenway soon came to know the big, friendly orange cat as “Tom”. My granddaughter loved this cat. She looked forward to our greenway walks visiting Tom,something simple that the two of us did together. On a Friday in January, the forecast was calling for bad weather. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Tom has been part of our family for the past three years. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】范文 On a Friday in January, the forecast was calling for bad weather. Later that night, as I watched the bad snowstorm with strong winds, I became very sad as I though of my greenway friend. More than a foot and a half of snow covered the ground after the storm passed, which was far more than had been predicted. Tom was found the next day stuck under a bridge. I was so thankful he was alive! At that point, I knew what I had to do. Tom has been part of our family for the past three years. Much like a faithful friend, Tom listens for my car to pull up in the driveway. I can sometimes see him jumping down from his upstairs lookout window and hear him running down the steps as I’m unlocking the door, making sure he beats me to the kitchen by the time I enter. As I sit at my desk finishing this tale of my faithful running friend, I realize that he chose me, not the other way around, and I’m so glad he did. 词汇激活 行为类 想起:think of/ cross one's mind 进来:enter /get in 意识到:realize/come to realize 情绪类 感谢:thankful /grateful 高兴:glad /delighted 【点睛】[高分句型1] More than a foot and a half of snow covered the ground after the storm passed, which was far more than had been predicted. When people ask about my experience of learning Cantonese, I recount a journey driven by unending curiosity and a strong desire to connect with a dynamic culture. C.Opportunity favors the prepared mind. D.Success belongs to those with curiosity. Politicians, business bosses, and other types of leaders indeed tend to like speaking with their hands, but does the habit influence how others interpret those words? (本题12.5分)The Lost Art of Eye Contact If the title of this article caught your eye, that’s a good start — it might even help you reflect on where your eyes typically focus and where they don’t. 三、完形填空 (本题15分)When we learned that a young client from Northern Africa would be arriving with a hearing disability, we did what seemed natural. We 41 our local partners and arranged for an American Sign Language (ASL) 42 to be present upon arrival. It was a reasonable response, but it wasn’t the 43 one. And we caught ourselves before it became a 44 . ASL is the dominant sign language in the US, but it is far from the 45 one. Across the world, hundreds of distinct sign languages have developed, each 46 by culture, geography, and community. A person with a hearing disability who grew up in North Africa almost certainly did not grow up 47 in ASL. Our team contacted the client’s family to understand how this person 48 . The conversations took time, but we got a clear picture of this individual’s 49 communication needs. We began searching for a 50 interpreter fluent in that specific language. It wasn’t 51 , but after extensive outreach, we found a university professor with exactly the expertise (专长) we needed. By the time our client 52 , everything was in place. The professor was at the airport to greet him and remained with him. From the moment he arrived, he had someone who could really 53 him. Inclusion is not a checkbox. It is not 54 “an interpreter” and moving on. It is asking whose interpreter, in which language, for which community. It is recognizing that disability, culture, and communication are 55 and that no two people’s needs are the same. 41.(1分)A.reached out to B.kept up with C.stood for D.depended on 42.(1分)A.professor B.consultant C.interpreter D.journalist 43.(1分)A.special B.right C.quick D.familiar 44.(1分)A.quarrel B.plan C.routine D.barrier 45.(1分)A.only B.important C.practical D.official 46.(1分)A.valued B.challenged C.limited D.shaped 47.(1分)A.majoring B.signing C.teaching D.succeeding 48.(1分)A.communicated B.adapted C.recovered D.reacted 49.(1分)A.urgent B.previous C.unique D.ordinary 50.(1分)A.dedicated B.respected C.disabled D.qualified 51.(1分)A.fun B.enough C.easy D.suitable 52.(1分)A.approved B.responded C.landed D.registered 53.(1分)A.understand B.appreciate C.represent D.accompany 54.(1分)A.testing B.arranging C.training D.calling 55.(1分)A.incredible B.incomparable C.invaluable D.inseparable 四、语法填空 (本题15分)阅读下面短文,在空白处填入一个适当的单词或括号内单词的正确形式。 Meta communication is like a secret language that we all use without 56(1.5分) (realize) it. Dear Peter, _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Yours sincerely, Li Hua 六、书面表达 67.(本题25分)阅读下面的材料,根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文。 My days always started with a two-mile run on a nearby greenway. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 试卷第1页,共3页 试卷第1页,共3页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 2 / 2 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $
