I’m still working on it, actually. I picked “Generative AI in Education” as my theme. Just read some reports about it, and it’s got so many mixed points to analyze. M: Oh, that’s a really solid topic. I have mentioned both the pros and cons, but I’m not sure how to structure the risk part. Well, there’s self-thinking loss and social-emotional growth issues... so many points to cover. W: Maybe you can list the risks one by one with specific examples, like how over-reliance on chatbots makes kids stop distinguishing truth from lies. M: That’s such great advice. Thanks a lot, Kevin. W: I’m glad I could help. 11.Where did Cathy find the wallet? A.In the parking lot. B.On the playground. C.At the shopping mall. 12.What is inside the wallet? A.A photo. B.An ID card. I’m David Bowers, your host for the next two days, and I just want to give you some practical information. OK. Coffee, tea, and cold drinks are served all day in the cafe which is just inside the main entrance to the hotel. Lunch is served between 12:00 and 2:30 in the private dining room. This evening you are invited to join the management for drinks by the swimming pool. The General Manager usually makes a short welcome speech. I’d like to apologize for the temperature. I’m afraid it’s a little warmer than usual in here because the air conditioning in the business center is being repaired. However, the work will be completed before lunchtime. Right. There are some changes to the conference program. Unfortunately, one of the main speakers has canceled her talk and so a couple of the sessions have been canceled or rescheduled. The updated program is being printed at the moment. OK, now, before we go for breakfast, are there any questions? 18.Who might the speaker be? A.A host. B.A professor. C.A news reporter. 19.Why does the speaker mention the two US teams? A.To talk about the origin of the high-five hand gesture. B.To show the popularity of the high-five hand gesture. C.To make a comparison between two other hand gestures. 20.What is an original meaning of the handshake gesture? A.Gratitude. B.Love. C.Respect. 【答案】18.B 19.A 20.C 【原文】      M: Good afternoon, everyone. Earlier on in today’s lecture, I mentioned the importance of hand gestures and said that I’d touch on the history of the gestures. I’d like to focus on two in particular: the high five and the handshake. The high-five hand gesture is generally used as a celebration. Many see its origins in baseball. Two US teams lay claim to inventing the high five: the Los Angeles Dodgers in 1977 and the Louisville Cardinals in 1978. It’s quite likely that it was neither, and the gesture might have a much earlier origin. It’s very similar to a 1920s Jazz Age gesture known as the “low five” or “giving skin”. The other gesture I’m going to mention today is the handshake. It dates back as far as ancient Greece. Its original meaning is to convey trust, respect and equality. In the 17th-century European marriage paintings, we find many examples of handshakes between husband and wife. Now, of course, the handshake serves many purposes: meeting, greeting, expressing gratitude or completing an agreement. Besides, it’s also used to offer congratulations, which serves the same purpose as the high five. A Now it’s the perfect time to teach kids about growing things. Try one or more of these plant experiments for fun and learning. *Color carnations (康乃馨) Fill a glass with water and color the water. Add a white carnation stalk (茎) and watch the plant become colorful as it “drinks” the colored water. This is a great, short experiment to show how plants take in water. *Plant root vegetables Find out how root vegetables form underground by planting them in a clear container. First, fill the bottom of the container with small stones. Next, add potting soil and plant rot vegetable seeds, trying carrots or onions, evenly. Keep the soil wet and enjoy watching the rot form. Best of all, when the vegetable is done growing, you can eat it! *Study speedy sunflowers Sunflower seeds sprout (发芽) and grow quickly, making this the perfect flower for impatient children. These seeds can be started just about anywhere, even in a paper coffee cup or yogurt container. Kids love seeing the plant push its way out of the soil, wearing the seed’s outer part like a hat! Move your plant to a flower pot after it sprouts to observe the lower as it forms. *Make a grass basket Grass is another seed that grows quickly. Make a living basket by lining a basket with plastic and filling it with potting soil Put grass seeds on top and water them lightly every day. Growing plants is a great way to bring some leaning—and a little sunshine—to your daily life. Try any of these inexpensive garden experiments for a fun project this spring. 21.Which garden experiment will you choose to see how plants “drink” water? A.Color carnations. B.Make a grass basket. C.Plant root vegetables. D.Study speedy sunflowers. 22.What is special about the experiment of “Plant root vegetables”? A.It has strict requirements for temperature. B.It offers you the tasty fruits of your labor. C.It is prefect for impatient kids. D.It is boring to carry on. 23.What do sunflowers and grass have in common? A.They both need little water. B.They both welcome sunshine. C.They both prefer clear containers. D.They both grow very quickly. 由文章Color carnations (康乃馨)部分中的“Add a white carnation stalk (茎) and watch the plant become colorful as it “drinks” the colored water. This is a great, short experiment to show how plants take in water. (添加一根白色的康乃馨茎,看着植物在“喝”彩色的水时变得五彩缤纷。这是一个伟大而简短的实验,展示了植物是如何吸收水分的。)”可知,Color carnations可以观察植物如何“喝水”。故选A。 22. 由文章Plant root vegetables部分中的“Best of all, when the vegetable is done growing, you can eat it! (最重要的是,当蔬菜生长完成后,你就可以吃了!)”可知,该实验的特别之处在于它为你提供了劳动的美味成果。故选B。 23.推理判断题。由文章Study speedy sunflowers部分中的“Sunflower seeds sprout (发芽) and grow quickly, making this the perfect flower for impatient children. (葵花籽发芽,生长迅速,使其成为不耐烦的孩子完美的花。这些种子可以在任何地方开始,甚至在纸咖啡杯或酸奶容器中。)”和Make a grass basket部分中的“Grass is another seed that grows quickly. (草是另一种生长迅速的种子。)”可知,它们两者都生长得非常快。故选D。 B I was born in a small town in Pakistan called Quetta in 1980. When I was a little boy of about ten years old, I developed an interest in calligraphy. Back then we only had a TV channel with limited programs. One of the programs was about learning calligraphy. I was engaged and spent several years learning different calligraphy scripts (笔迹) in the Urdu language. After graduation, I came to Dubai, UAE. Falling in love with the architecture and high-rise buildings, I wanted to shoot the amazing beauty from different angles. So I bought a camera and learned photography, joined photography groups and attended workshops. However, after a few years, I got bored of photographing landscapes and cityscapes. Seven years ago, while going through the photography blogs and looking through others’ works, I read the term called “light painting”, a photography technique that allows you to draw in space. I started experimenting with that and soon it hit me: why not bring back my passion for calligraphy using light painting technique? Since that day, I’ve been drawing light calligraphy. To achieve the best results, I decided to build the lights myself. The best part about my work is that they are not beautified digitally. I prefer getting the results directly from the camera. I don’t even turn over the images. To achieve that, I have to write in reverse (倒置) and that took a lot of practice to get it right. Currently, I’m working on the idea of bringing abandoned places back to life, including buildings which have lost their charm and are hidden in darkness. Through my photography, I try to employ light calligraphy by writing a word that attaches a deep meaning to those places and telling stories behind them. In this way, I hope people will revisit these places and appreciate the real reason for their construction. 24.What can be inferred from the author’s experience in Quetta? A.He put great effort into learning calligraphy. B.He grew bored with limited media programs. C.He was masterfully trained by TV experts. D.He created various scripts for the local TV shows. 25.What made the author interested in taking pictures in Dubai? A.The stories hidden in old buildings. B.The works of famous photographers. C.The visual appeal of city architecture. D.The unique landscape of the desert town. 26.How did the author achieve his best results in light calligraphy? A.By learning from others. B.By sticking to the original. C.By drawing in open space. D.By beautifying his photos. 27.What is the author’s role in practising his current idea? A.A traveler recording his personal journey. B.A photographer protecting dark areas. C.A researcher exploring building history. D.An artist giving life to forgotten places. 根据文章第一段中的“ I was engaged and spent several years learning different calligraphy scripts (笔迹) in the Urdu language.(我全神贯注,花了数年时间学习乌尔都语的不同书法字体)”可知,作者在童年时期对书法投入了极大的热情和努力。选项A“He put great effort into learning calligraphy.(他在学习书法上付出了巨大的努力)”符合题意。 25. 根据文章第二段中的“Falling in love with the architecture and high-rise buildings, I wanted to shoot the amazing beauty from different angles. (爱上了这里的建筑和摩天大楼,我想从不同的角度拍摄它们惊人的美)”可知,正是迪拜城市建筑的视觉吸引力让作者对摄影产生了兴趣。选项C“The visual appeal of city architecture.(城市建筑的视觉吸引力)”与原文符合题意。 26. 根据文章第三段中的“The best part about my work is that they are not beautified digitally. I prefer getting the results directly from the camera.(我作品最棒的部分在于它们没有经过数字美化。我更喜欢直接从相机获取结果)”可知,作者追求原汁原味的拍摄效果,不进行后期的数字修饰。选项B“By sticking to the original.(通过坚持原版/原貌)”符合题意。 27. 根据文章最后一段中的“Currently, I’m working on the idea of bringing abandoned places back to life, including buildings which have lost their charm and are hidden in darkness. Through my photography, I try to employ light calligraphy by writing a word that attaches a deep meaning to those places and telling stories behind them.(目前,我正致力于让废弃之地焕发生机,包括那些失去魅力、隐没于黑暗中的建筑。通过我的摄影作品,我尝试运用光绘书法,书写能为这些地方赋予深刻意义的文字,并讲述它们背后的故事。)”可知,作者现在的角色是通过艺术创作(光绘书法)赋予被遗忘的废弃建筑新的生命力。选项D“An artist giving life to forgotten places.(一个赋予被遗忘之地生命的艺术家)”符合作者当前的身份和追求。 C A new study on 26 chimpanzees (黑猩猩) from zoos around the world found that chimpanzees can recognise family members and long lost friends even after decades of separation. The participating chimpanzees were given juice while sitting at a screen flashing side by side photos of other chimps. One animal from each pair of photos had lived with the screen chimp for at least a year, while the other was a stranger. An eye-tracking camera recorded where each chimpanzee was looking and for how long. Data showed their eyes spent more time staring at the pictures of their former companions. There is also evidence that they became more intimate when shown a picture of a chimpanzee with whom they’d had more positive interactions, compared with conflicting relationships. In the most impressive case, a 46-year-old chimpanzee named Louise repeatedly demonstrated “intense” attention upon seeing photographs of her sister Loretta and nephew Erin, whom she hadn’t seen more than 26 years. The team said Louise’s results represented the longest-lasting social memory documented in any non-human animal to date. “We tend to see ourselves as unique special creatures with incredible intellectual (智力的) capacity that are very different from other animals on earth,” said Laura Simone Lewis, a postdoctoral fellow in Berkeley’s psychology department and lead author of the study. “This study is showing us how similar we are to chimpanzees.” She noted that the findings support the theory that chimps have long term social memory in humans and modern-day chimps had our “last common ancestor” that lived somewhere between 5 to 7 million years ago who also likely had long-term social memory. Now that they have definitive evidence that these endangered species possess long-term social memories, researchers have more questions, including whether chimpanzees miss the individuals they’re no longer with, especially their friends and family. “Our study doesn’t determine they are doing this, but it raises questions about the possibility that they have the ability to do so,” Lewis said. 28.What is paragraph 2 mainly about? A.The nature of chimps. B.The method of the study. C.The analysis of the recorded data. D.The layout of experimental equipment. 29.What does the underlined word “intense” in paragraph 4 mean? A.Attentive. B.Doubtful. C.Hesitant. D.Emotional. 30.Why is the example of Louise in paragraph 4 mentioned? A.To stress chimps as intelligent as human beings. B.To explain where chimps’ social memory comes from. C.To better demonstrate the chimps’ memory length. D.To further prove the existence of chimps’ social memory. 31.What will the research team most probably continue to explore? A.Whether chimps feel strong emotions to their long lost friends. B.How to strengthen chimps’ long-term social connections. C.How chimps recognise their close contacts after long separation. D.Why chimps possess the amazing social memories. 根据第二段中“The participating chimpanzees were given juice while sitting at a screen flashing side by side photos of other chimps. One animal from each pair of photos had lived with the screen chimp for at least a year, while the other was a stranger. An eye-tracking camera recorded where each chimpanzee were looking and for how long.(参与实验的黑猩猩坐在屏幕前喝果汁,屏幕并排展示其他黑猩猩照片,一组照片里一只曾和它共同生活至少一年,另一只为陌生同类,眼动相机记录黑猩猩注视位置和时长。)” 根据第四段中“In the most impressive case, a 46-year-old chimpanzee named Louise repeatedly demonstrated “intense” attention upon seeing photographs of her sister Loretta and nephew Erin, whom she hadn’t seen more than 26 years. The team said Louise’s results represented the longest-lasting social memory documented in any non-human animal to date.(其中最令人惊叹的案例是:一只46岁名叫路易丝的黑猩猩,在时隔26年多后再次看到姐姐洛蕾塔与外甥艾琳的照片时,反复表现出intense注意的状态。研究团队表示,路易丝的实验数据,是目前所有非人类动物中有记录的、持续时间最久的社交记忆。)”以及第二段“Data showed their eyes spent more time staring at the pictures of their former companions.(数据显示它们会花费更多时间凝视昔日同伴的照片)”可知,再次看到姐姐洛蕾塔与外甥艾琳的照片时,反复表现出专注的注意的状态。 根据第一段中“A new study on 26 chimpanzees (黑猩猩) from zoos around the world found that chimpanzees can recognise family members and long lost friends even after decades of separation.(一项针对全球动物园 26 只黑猩猩的新研究发现,黑猩猩时隔数十年仍能认出亲人与久别同伴。)”和第四段中“The team said Louise’s results represented the longest-lasting social memory documented in any non-human animal to date.(研究团队表示,路易丝的实验数据,是目前所有非人类动物中有记录的、持续时间最久的社交记忆。)” 根据最后一段中“Now that they have definitive evidence that these endangered species possess long-term social memories, researchers have more questions, including whether chimpanzees miss the individuals they’re no longer with, especially their friends and family. “Our study doesn’t determine they are doing this, but it raises questions about the possibility that they have the ability to do so,” Lewis said.(研究人员已经掌握确凿证据,证明这类濒危动物拥有长期社交记忆,但他们心中还有更多疑问,其中一点是:黑猩猩是否会思念再也无法相见的亲友。刘易斯称:“我们的研究尚且无法证实它们会产生思念之情,但这项研究提出了一种可能性——它们或许拥有思念他人的能力。”)”可知,团队接下来很可能探究黑猩猩是否会对久别亲友产生思念这类强烈情绪。 D “The most difficult subjects,” novelist Leo Tolstoy once wrote, “can be explained to the least knowledgeable man, but the simplest thing cannot be made clear to the most intelligent man who is firmly convinced that he already knows it.” Until recently, I would have agreed. Psychologists have long believed that many people are resistant to opinion change and that little can be done. Fortunately, a new study led by psychologist Stephanie Dolbier suggests that open-mindedness can be developed. Open-minded thinking improves decision-making and protects us from false beliefs, but it’s not easy to practise. Admitting we were wrong not only feels embarrassing but challenges our identity that is built around our beliefs. To protect our ego (自我), the brain engages in “motivated reasoning” — searching for evidence that favours our assumptions, even if that relies on poor logic and misinformation. Maintaining an open mind starts with managing that mental discomfort through emotional awareness. Research shows that people who can describe their feelings in detail — rather than simply labelling them as “good” or “bad” — are better able to consider different perspectives. If I’m emotionally aware, I might realise that, instead of feeling angry at someone for not seeing my point, I’m actually frustrated at my own inability to get an idea across, or scared of seeming foolish. The realisation that I’m letting emotions get in the way of understanding others may encourage me to consider my argument more critically and potentially change my mind. The role of emotional awareness explains why mindfulness encourages open-minded thinking. By paying attention to our inner weather, mindfulness helps us recognise emotional reactions and avoid letting them shape our judgments. If mindfulness doesn’t appeal, we can try role-playing and adopt a scientist mindset, approaching disagreements objectively and analytically. Another useful technique is self-affirmation, which reminds us that our self-worth does not depend on being right about a single issue. Dolbier emphasises that these techniques require further testing. Still, they offer a useful starting point, and I’ll certainly try some of them the next time my beliefs are challenged. 32.What do Leo Tolstoy’s words imply? A.Intelligence guarantees learning. B.Fixed opinions are hard to change. C.Knowledge belongs to everyone. D.Difficult subjects are easy to explain. 33.What can we learn about “motivated reasoning”? A.It prevents false beliefs. B.It enhances decision-making. C.It stresses logical thinking. D.It produces biased arguments. 34.Which of the following is the key to managing the mental discomfort? A.Comparing different ideas. B.Expressing clear views. C.Identifying specific feelings. D.Releasing negative emotions. 35.What is paragraph 5 mainly about? A.Causes of emotional discomfort. B.Ways to avoid disagreements. C.Benefits of emotional awareness. D.Strategies to develop open-mindedness. 根据第一段“The most difficult subjects,” novelist Leo Tolstoy once wrote, “can be explained to the least knowledgeable man, but the simplest thing cannot be made clear to the most intelligent man who is firmly convinced that he already knows it.(小说家列夫・托尔斯泰曾写道:最难的学问,也能讲给最无知的人听懂;但对于一个笃定自己早已明白的聪明人,最简单的道理也无法让他理解。)” 根据第三段“To protect our ego (自我), the brain engages in “motivated reasoning” — searching for evidence that favours our assumptions, even if that relies on poor logic and misinformation.(为了维护自我,大脑会进行“动机性推理”:只寻找支持自身固有看法的证据,哪怕这些证据逻辑薄弱、信息不实。)” 根据第四段“Maintaining an open mind starts with managing that mental discomfort through emotional awareness. Research shows that people who can describe their feelings in detail — rather than simply labelling them as “good” or “bad” — are better able to consider different perspectives.(拥有开放心态,首先要通过情绪觉察来处理这种心理不适感。研究表明,能够细致描述自身感受,而非简单把情绪归为“好”或“坏”的人,更能接纳不同观点。)”可知,处理心理不适的关键是分辨具体的情绪感受。 35.主旨大意题。根据第五段“The role of emotional awareness explains why mindfulness encourages open-minded thinking. By paying attention to our inner weather, mindfulness helps us recognise emotional reactions and avoid letting them shape our judgments. If mindfulness doesn’t appeal, we can try role-playing and adopt a scientist mindset, approaching disagreements objectively and analytically. Another useful technique is self-affirmation, which reminds us that our self-worth does not depend on being right about a single issue.(情绪觉察的作用能够解释为何正念思考有助于培养开放包容的思维。 Having high self-control is often seen as a good thing. It’s believed to be key to success in many aspects of life. But as suggested by a theory published by Professor Thomas Lynch, high self-control may not always be a good thing. 36 Most of us are probably more familiar with what problematic undercontrol looks like. People who are highly undercontrolled may struggle to control their emotions. This can negatively affect their relationships, work and health. There are many treatments that can help undercontrolled people manage their emotions and increase self-control. 37 This may be because overcontrolled traits — such as the ability to make plans and stick to them, pursuing perfection, and being in control of emotions — are often highly regarded in our society. But when overcontrol becomes an issue, it can be damaging in many areas of life. Highly overcontrolled people may struggle to adapt to change. They may be less open to new experiences and criticism, and be very set in their ways. 38 Together, these characteristics may make a person more likely to experience loneliness. This may finally cause their mental health to worsen. To receive suitable help, a person must first be correctly identified as highly overcontrolled. 39 It involves a few questionnaires and an interview that must be conducted by a specially trained clinician This can slow down research. I am working on developing a simplified assessment method that will help identify problematic overcontrol quickly. This will make it easier for researchers to continue studying overcontrol, too. High self-control is typically admired, and highly overcontrolled people are rarely open about their struggles. That’s why problematic overcontrol can go unnoticed for a long time. 40 A.Unfortunately, overcontrol isn’t talked about as much. B.For some, it could be linked to certain mental health problems. C.The current assessment of overcontrol is quite long and complex. D.Continued work in this field will make it easier for them to get help. E.Every single one of us leans more toward one of two personality styles. F.This flexibility helps us deal with life’s challenges in a constructive way. G.They may also use fewer gestures and try to hide their emotions at any cost. 上文“Having high self-control is often seen as a good thing. It’s believed to be key to success in many aspects of life. But as suggested by a theory published by Professor Thomas Lynch, high self-control may not always be a good thing.(高度自控通常被视作一件好事,人们认为它是生活诸多领域取得成功的关键。但托马斯・林奇教授发表的一项理论表明,高度自控未必总是好事。)”引出全文核心观点——高度自控存在弊端。选项B“For some, it could be linked to certain mental health problems.(对部分人而言,高度自控可能和特定心理健康问题相关。)” 后文“This may be because overcontrolled traits — such as the ability to make plans and stick to them, pursuing perfection, and being in control of emotions — are often highly regarded in our society.(这或许是因为过度自控的特质,比如制定并坚持计划、追求完美、克制情绪,在社会中往往备受推崇。)” A“Unfortunately, overcontrol isn’t talked about as much.(遗憾的是,人们很少谈及过度自控。)” 38.上文“Highly overcontrolled people may struggle to adapt to change. They may be less open to new experiences and criticism, and be very set in their ways.(过度自控的人难以适应变化,不愿接纳新体验与批评,行事固执。)” 后文“Together, these characteristics may make a person more likely to experience loneliness.(这些特质叠加在一起,容易让人产生孤独感。)” G“They may also use fewer gestures and try to hide their emotions at any cost.(他们肢体语言匮乏,还会不惜一切隐藏自身情绪。)” 39.上文“To receive suitable help, a person must first be correctly identified as highly overcontrolled.(想要获得合适的疏导帮助,首先要准确判断一个人是否属于过度自控。)” 后文“It involves a few questionnaires and an interview that must be conducted by a specially trained clinician.(检测流程包含多份问卷与专业临床医师的面谈。)” C“The current assessment of overcontrol is quite long and complex.(当下针对过度自控的评估流程冗长复杂。)” 40.上文“High self-control is typically admired, and highly overcontrolled people are rarely open about their struggles. That’s why problematic overcontrol can go unnoticed for a long time.(高度自控受人推崇,过度自控者很少倾诉自身困扰,这就导致有问题的过度自控长期被忽视。)” D“Continued work in this field will make it easier for them to get help.(该领域持续开展的相关研究,会让这类人群更容易获得帮助。)” Running has long been my greatest passion. It was Aoyu (鳌鱼) — a legendary mythical creature — brought 56 (vivid) to life. Aoyu is a creature from ancient Chinese folklore. According to legend, carp once sought 57 (leap) over the Loong Gate to transform into loongs. However, after swallowing the loong pearls from the sea, they could only become creatures with a loong’s head 58 a fish’s body — known as Aoyu. Against the dynamic backdrop of the stadium, with its sweeping lights and digital screens, the lantern created 59 immersive and dreamy spectacle, as if a giant Aoyu were gliding through the air. After repeated experimentation, 60 (technician) determined the optimal gas ratio to ensure the Aoyu could remain suspended in midair for extended periods, 61 (allow) it to float and flip through the stadium, explained Wang Ruixiang, chief producer of the opening ceremony. Last Christmas my older sister Jane got a unicycle (独轮脚踏车) she had requested. I thought it kind of strange, wondering why she would want something like that. She did ride and practice for a while, but eventually stopped. Curious, I tried it, finding it very hard and thinking it impossible for a weak girl like me to learn. Since our dining room of our old house had low beams (屋梁), I used them like monkey bars to practice riding, which helped a lot. Because I thought it was really fun, I practiced every spare moment I had, teaching myself to go forwards, backwards and to turn. Practicing was something I loved to do in my spare time, but it did get discouraging when I fell. After months of practicing, I finally made it. One morning, our teacher Maria excitedly announced that a school talent show was to be held to raise money for charity. She encouraged my classmates to sign up for it. I am not always the best in front of a crowd, which was why I was very nervous when I meant to put on my performance by doing a hula hoop (圈) and riding a unicycle on stage. But I overcame my fear and entered myself for the talent show, for which I practiced a lot in case I should make mistakes. My routine (整套动作) was to do the hula hoop from my neck, down to my stomach, then to my knees. After that, I was to ride my unicycle forwards and backwards on stage. Lastly I would do the hula hoop while riding the unicycle. I was to do all this accompanied by my carefully selected music. I wondered what people from my seventh grade would think of my performance. With my friends inspiring me, I built up my confidence. On the night of the show, many people found out there was going to be a unicycle performance, so more came, even the headmaster. Para 1: When my turn came, I felt nervous yet excited. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Para 2: When I got home, I couldn’t wait to check my mobile phone left at home. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】范文 When my turn came, I felt nervous yet excited. I took a deep breath and slowly rode onto the stage. With soft music playing around me, I moved the hula hoop from my neck down to my knees smoothly, and the audience clapped warmly. Sadly, I lost balance and fell over when riding backward. Though I felt a little embarrassed, I picked myself up bravely and tried again. Focusing all my attention, I finished all the difficult moves perfectly. Soon loud cheers burst out from everyone present in the hall. When I got home, I couldn't wait to check my mobile phone left at home. My classmates and teachers sent me many encouraging messages and the full video of my performance. Their sincere support meant a great deal to me. This unforgettable experience taught me a meaningful lesson. Failure is never terrible as long as we dare to keep going for our aims. I bravely pushed myself to face challenges and also helped raise money for charity. I truly believe that courage and perseverance will always guide us to steady growth in life. 词汇激活 行为类: ① 相信:believe/have faith in ③ 集中:focus/concentrate 情绪类 ① 尴尬:embarrassed/awkward ② 难忘的:unforgettable/memorable 【点睛】【高分句型1】Though I felt a little embarrassed, I picked myself up bravely and tried again. ………………○……………… … 学校:______________姓名:_____________班级:_______________考号:______________________ 2026年秋季高二开学分班学情自测卷 英 语 (考试时间:120分钟 试卷满分:150分) 注意事项: 1. 1.What did the man think of the festival this year? B I was born in a small town in Pakistan called Quetta in 1980. C A new study on 26 chimpanzees (黑猩猩) from zoos around the world found that chimpanzees can recognise family members and long lost friends even after decades of separation. D “The most difficult subjects,” novelist Leo Tolstoy once wrote, “can be explained to the least knowledgeable man, but the simplest thing cannot be made clear to the most intelligent man who is firmly convinced that he already knows it.” Until recently, I would have agreed. Having high self-control is often seen as a good thing. Running has long been my greatest passion. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Para 2: When I got home, I couldn’t wait to check my mobile phone left at home. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 试题 第7页(共10页) 试题 第8页(共10页) 试题 第5页(共10页) 试题 第6页(共10页) 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 学科网(北京)股份有限公司zxxk.com 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $ 2026年秋季高二开学分班学情自测卷 英 语 (考试时间:120分钟 试卷满分:150分) 注意事项: 1. 1.What did the man think of the festival this year? C A new study on 26 chimpanzees (黑猩猩) from zoos around the world found that chimpanzees can recognise family members and long lost friends even after decades of separation. D “The most difficult subjects,” novelist Leo Tolstoy once wrote, “can be explained to the least knowledgeable man, but the simplest thing cannot be made clear to the most intelligent man who is firmly convinced that he already knows it.” Until recently, I would have agreed. Having high self-control is often seen as a good thing. Running has long been my greatest passion. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Para 2: When I got home, I couldn’t wait to check my mobile phone left at home. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 试卷第1页,共3页 10 / 10 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $听力考试正式开始。That's the best festival i've ever been to.
