“Okay class,” says Ms Liu. “It’s time for our group project. Let’s get to work!”
Yi Han is the leader of one group. To her disappointment, a girl named Li Tian in her group is always absent from the group meetings. She did not write the paragraph she was given last time. This slowed the whole group down.
Yi Han considers telling Ms Liu about these problems, but she doesn’t want to get Li Tian into trouble. Therefore, she decides to talk to Li Tian and find out what the problem is. She says, “Hi, Li Tian. I’ve noticed that you are not working with the others. Can you tell me what’s going on?”
Li Tian is quiet for a few seconds, and finally says, “It’s not that I don’t want to be in the group. Sometimes, I don’t really understand the things we’re learning. I know it’s not fair, but I feel it a shame to say something silly, so I do nothing.”
Now Yi Han understands. Li Tian isn’t lazy — she just needs help! Yi Han says, “Don’t worry. We are a team, and no one will laugh at you. Tell me anything you don’t understand, and we can discuss and work it out together. You know the saying: Teamwork makes the dream work!”
“Thank you!” says Li Tian.
Yi Han feels happy. When there is a problem, it is better to talk it out and find ways to solve it.

Sample:
In a recent group project, I acted as the group leader. We met a big problem: members held different opinions and argued with each other. The main reason was that everyone believed their own idea was the best and refused to listen to others. To change this situation, I asked everyone to share thoughts one by one. We talked patiently and tried to work out a new plan that collected the good parts from all suggestions. In the end, we reached an agreement. We finished our project smoothly and received high praise from our teacher.
