Ⅰ.阅读理解 A (2026·温州二模)A dropped bag of chips disturbed a cave ecosystem in Carlsbad Caverns National Park, New Mexico. This cave is almost cut off from the outside world, so introducing anything foreign can be harmful. “Things in the damp cave get wet quickly,” says park guide Ashley. The snack attracts tiny organisms, causing unwanted growth. Soon, small animals like crickets and spiders came to eat, spreading the pollution. Rangers found the bag within hours.“But__that__can__be__all__it__takes,” says Ashley. “I'm sure some crickets got a bit of the snack.” Over 500 million people visit American public lands each year, creating many chances to harm wild places. “When you look at the numbers, it's incredible,” says Watts, head of the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethic in Colorado, an organization aimed at minimizing human impact on nature. Food waste takes a long time to break down, especially in certain areas. “It takes much longer for an apple core to rot in a desert than in a forest,” says Blye, a teacher at the University of Utah. Leaving waste introduces animals to an unnatural diet and changes their behavior with sometimes disastrous results. Bears who taste garbage and become a threat to humans may have to be put down. “Bears can get used to unnatural food in three weeks,” says Watts.“Everyone loses in this case.” Biological waste is also problematic. Dog waste brings new bacteria into the ecosystem and scares away deer. Meanwhile, human waste and toilet paper introduce dangerous bacteria into water sources. In national parks, trails (小路) are designed to avoid sensitive areas. Stepping off the trail, even for a quick photo, can scare wildlife away. Impacts from many visitors result in long-term damage to nature and wildlife. But people don't think of that when they see the perfect photo opportunity. “It's just such a hard thing to resist,” says Blye. The risk to sensitive ecosystems isn't obvious. “It's easy to think, oh, there are wild flowers over there. I shouldn't step on them,” says Blye, but these tiny ecosystems full of microscopic organisms essential to desert life provide many benefits, including reducing the risk of erosion and helping absorb rainfall, and can take hundreds of years to return to its original state. 1.What does Ashley mean by the underlined “But that can be all it takes”? A.The rangers' work is efficient. B.The damage has been done. C.The cleanup takes a long time. D.The pollution has spread widely. 根据画线句上文“A dropped bag of chips...can be harmful.”以及“Soon, small animals... spreading the pollution.” 2.What is a result of foreign waste in public lands? A.A shift in animal behavior. B.A shortage of food supplies. C.A decline in bacterial species. D.An increase in regional conflicts. 3.Why does the writer mention wild flowers in paragraph 5? A.To praise their benefits to desert life. B.To highlight our damage to ecosystems. C.To stress their significance for photography. D.To show our unawareness of nature's sensitivity. 4.According to this passage, what should we do when traveling? A.Encourage wildlife protection. B.Leave no trace in the wild. C.Promote national park tourism. D.Restore ecological damage. B (2026·青岛第二次适应性检测)In many parts of the world, the volume of tourists has gone way beyond capacity point.Overtourism, as is known, is now so widespread that many communities are pushing back.In April, activists in Tenerife staged a hunger strike against the building of new tourist projects threatening local water resources.Similarly, Greek communities initiated the “towel movement” resisting the privatization of coastal spaces that displaced local traditional fishing. When you see so many people protesting so widely, it tells you that the balance has been lost. The idea that most people benefit from tourism is no longer so clear.Symptoms of overtourism range from everyday problems, such as locals being priced out of restaurants, to deeper issues like the corporate takeover of affordable housing, which has caused widespread public anger.“At the most insignificant level, overtourism makes visiting places less pleasant for those visiting,” says Adrian Phillips, managing director of Bradt Travel Guides.“Most of us would prefer to appreciate St Mark's Square in Venice without having to compete for space.Besides, it can damage the local landscape, put pressure on local facilities, bend and change traditional culture.” Thailand's historic city of Chiang Mai has recently charged a $147.5 fine for tourists wearing unsuitable clothing in temple zones, alongside cultural training for guides assisting international visitors, which comes as the city experiences an explosion in tourism, putting pressure on its culture. The Indonesian island of Bali, where by the middle of 2024, international tourism arrivals—7.75 million—surpassed those of all of 2019, is also seeing pushback against the rapid-fire expansion of tourism, with hotlines set up to report inappropriate behaviour by foreigners. In the long run, the key solution to reducing overtourism is to champion the advantages of the many wonderful spots away from the most heavily-visited tourist sites and encourage people to spread their tourist dollars more widely.Rather than set limits on the number of visitors or fine people for visiting famous landmarks, stakeholders should give full attention to the meaningful experiences, fair economic benefits, and sustainable practices that come with exploring alternatives. 5.Why did people in Tenerife and Greece protest? A.To increase income from tourism. B.To improve local service facilities. C.To safeguard the interests of locals. D.To prevent environmental destruction. 根据第一段中的“In April, activists in Tenerife staged...displaced local traditional fishing.” 6.What does Adrian Phillips think of overtourism? A.It can be more than inconvenient. B.It reflects tourists' psychological needs. C.It can be managed through better planning. D.It is a necessary stage in economic development. 根据第二段中的“Besides,it can damage...bend and change traditional culture.” 7.What does paragraph 3 focus on? A.Plans to drive tourism growth. B.Efforts to develop local attractions. C.Approaches to cultural preservation. D.Responses to overtourism challenges. 8.Who might the underlined word “stakeholders” in the last paragraph refer to? A.Tourism officers. B.Travel behaviour experts. C.Eco-minded travellers. D.Tourism investment analysts. Ⅱ.七选五 (2026·湖北宜荆荆恩四校联考)They say scuba diving opens up a world of possibilities, from learning new skills to exploring places beyond your imagination. A few years ago, I was lucky enough to experience all these on a reef dive at the Gili Islands in Indonesia. After my first dive, I realized that it has far more in common with yoga than it does with extreme sports. On land, switching off your brain can be a struggle. Breathing is something that just happens without thinking. When you're diving, it's a totally different ball game. 1.________ You're suddenly aware of how your movements connect with each intake of breath. It's hard to feel distracted (分神的) when diving. Nature is putting on such a show-stopping performance that your attention is fully absorbed. You're right there on the stage, in the moment. 2.________ Something I hadn't really considered before my first scuba dive was just how human-centric our lives are on land. Everything seems to go around the human experience. But when you dive, it's a different story entirely. 3.________ A guest in someone else's home. 4.________ Almost everything in front of you is alive and part of a delicate ecosystem of life. Here, clownfish weave among the anemones (海葵) and parrotfish feed on their favorite coral (珊瑚). 5.________ Nothing is ours to take or touch. Suddenly, your own world feels rather tiny and you realize you're just part of the world. A.All of a sudden, you're the outsider. B.Everything here has its place and purpose. C.This is what living in the present feels like. D.Rarely do you take the time to stop and just “be”. E.Exploring the undersea world is a humbling experience. F.Your breathing becomes slow, purposeful and rhythmic.
