Yulong Snow Mountain is a famous spot in Yunnan Province. It is covered with snow all year round, and some ice and snow there has a history of thousands of years. The mountain covers an area of about 415 square kilometers, and its top is 5,596 meters above sea level.
In recent years, more and more tourists have visited the mountain. But this has caused a serious problem—too much rubbish. To solve this problem, the cleaners in the spot have tried their best to keep it clean.
The cleaners start their work at 5:30 a.m. to get ready for the first tourists and finish at 7:30 p.m. when tourists leave the mountain. During busy travel times, such as the National Day holiday, they fill nearly 200 outdoor rubbish bags every day. Their job is much harder and more dangerous than most people think.
Liu Haowei is one of these cleaners. He mainly cleans up empty oxygen cylinders (氧气瓶) and other rubbish that visitors throw on the cliffs (悬崖). The cliffs are very dangerous. Besides, the high altitude (海拔) makes the air thin, so the cleaners may have difficulty breathing while working.
After picking up the rubbish, they pack it and carry it down the mountain. Although they face many difficulties, Liu and other cleaners still work hard to keep the mountain clean. They are glad to find that more and more tourists have known the importance of protecting the mountain’s environment and thrown less rubbish.
24.What do we know about Yulong Snow Mountain?

26.Which of the following is TRUE about the cleaners’ work?
A.They work for 14 hours every day. B.Their work is easy but dangerous.

A.A Popular Scenic Spot in Yunnan Province B.A Mountain with Snow and Ice All Year Round
C.New Visitors Looking After the Snow Mountain D.Environmental Protectors of Yulong Snow Mountain

Do you find it difficult to fall asleep at night? Try picking up a book! A new study has found that people who read before bed often sleep better and longer than those who don’t.
In the study, about 500 people tried reading in bed for 15 to 30 minutes before sleep. Another group of people did not read in bed. Both groups were also asked not to eat or drink anything with caffeine (咖啡因) in the hour before they went to bed. After one week, 42% of the readers said they slept better, but only 28% of the non-readers did!
Why does reading help you sleep? Well, one of the reasons is that it’s relaxing. When you read in bed, your heart slows down a little, and your muscles (肌肉) relax. At the same time, a good book can calm your mind, and help you forget the worries of the day. What’s more, reading a book keeps you away from phones and computers. This is important, because the light from screens can make it harder to fall asleep.
Of course, reading an e-book on a screen is not the same. Even e-readers give off blue light. This light can keep you awake by telling your body it’s still daytime. So for better sleep, try reading a paper book before bed!
28.What were the two groups asked NOT to do an hour before bedtime?
A.Read storybooks. B.Have things with caffeine. C.Talk with others. D.Go out for a walk.
29.Which is NOT the reason why reading helps people sleep?
A.It makes people feel relaxed. B.It helps forget daily worries.
C.It keeps people away from electronic products. D.It makes people eat more food.
30.Why is it not good to read e-books before bed?
A.They cost too much money. B.They are too heavy to carry.
C.They give off blue light to keep people awake. D.There are no interesting stories in them.
31.What does the writer advise us to do for better sleep?
A.Play phones for a while. B.Read paper books before bed.
C.Drink coffee before sleeping. D.Stay up late to relax.
D
The way younger people think about spending money and their lifestyle is changing. A new idea called “reverse consumption” has appeared. This means people are no longer buying expensive things like brand-name bags or clothes. Instead, they care more about getting good value for their money.
Reverse consumption encourages people not to waste. Unlike traditional buying habits, it refuses (拒绝) to keep buying new products and pays more attention to the quality of products. This idea has become popular with younger people and has influenced their buying decisions. This change in spending habits shows that young people care about different things in life now.
Many young people are starting to realize that having lots of material goods doesn’t bring true happiness. They are more interested in personal growth, spiritual (精神的) wealth, and the building of social relationships. Because of this, they pay more attention to their inner needs. Besides focusing on growing as a person, they also start to care about how their actions affect (影响) the environment.
This new way of thinking helps young people notice bigger problems like pollution and climate change. They know that wasteful spending can harm the environment, causing plenty of unnecessary waste and pollution, so they are trying to reduce (减少) their influence on the environment. It is changing what people do and making the world different.
In addition, the idea of reverse consumption is also bringing changes in society. Companies are being pushed to take social and environmental responsibility (责任) more seriously, and to think more about social interests when designing and making things.
32.What is “reverse consumption” in Paragraph 1 mainly about?
A.Buying bags or clothes at lower prices. B.Giving up spending money completely.
C.Saving money to buy more cheap things later. D.Getting good value for money and avoiding waste.
33.From Paragraph 3 we can infer (推断) that young people today ________.
A.believe true happiness comes from inner growth B.think owning more bags brings social respect
C.no longer care about their personal looks D.only notice material goods around them
34.How does reverse consumption change companies?
A.It helps companies to give up social interests.
B.It makes companies produce more expensive products.
C.It encourages companies to make fewer and fewer products.
D.It pushes companies to take social and environmental responsibility.
35.What is the main purpose of this passage?
A.To explain reverse consumption and its influence.
B.To ask readers not to buy more brand-name products.
C.To tell readers that young people should stop spending money.
D.To tell people to only buy products that are good for the environment.
第二节(共5小题;每小题2分,满分10分)
根据短文内容,从短文后的选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。
How to Travel Abroad Alone as a Teenager
Many teenagers dream of traveling abroad alone to explore the world and gain new experiences. The good news is that this goal is achievable, as long as you make careful preparations and follow special rules for minor travelers.
36 Laws and regulations for teenage travelers are not the same worldwide. Some countries, such as Portugal, require teenagers to carry a signed permission letter from both parents, which must be certified at an embassy before the trip. Other countries like Spain generally accept unaccompanied teens, but authorities may hold you if you run into trouble.
Purchase travel insurance. 37 A proper insurance plan can cover missed flights, lost luggage, emergency medical fees, and even help arrange your return to your home country in urgent situations.
Look for student discounts. As a teenager under 18, you can enjoy lower prices at some tourist attractions, public transport, and even some hotels and airlines. 38
Plan your accommodation and flights wisely. When it comes to accommodation, most hotels do not welcome unaccompanied minor travelers under 18. 39 Many youth hostels welcome teenagers aged 16 and above, making them a practical and popular choice. As for flights, remember that traveling alone as a teen is different from the unaccompanied minor service for children under the age of 12, which requires adult drop-off and pick-up with airline staff assistance.
Traveling alone can be challenging at first, but you always come back a different person. You will become more confident and have a different view of the cultures you interact with on your trip. You’ll also have new friends and new memories in a new place. 40
A.Check local travel rules for minors.
B.Youth hostels can be a better choice instead.
C.Prepare a signed permission from your parents.
D.It offers a necessary safety net for young travelers.
E.This is a great way to reduce your travel expenses.
F.With full preparation, your solo trip will be safe and rewarding.
G.You need to confirm the hotel’s policy for unaccompanied minors first.

第四部分写作(共一节,满分25分)
Dear Lisa,
Since you love Chinese history and culture, I think you will enjoy Xiasi Ancient Town in Guizhou.
This 600-year-old town by the Qingshui River is known as “the Home of Chinese Dragon Boat Champions”. Dragon boat teams train here every day, and I was lucky to watch them practice.
Walking along the old stone streets, I found not only well-preserved wooden houses but also a rich Mulao culture. If you come on the first day of the lunar month, you might experience their most important festival — Yifan Festival, when locals pray for a good harvest with drums and songs.
Last year, I tried their famous sour fish soup and enjoyed the lively atmosphere. The town is where traditions truly come alive. Hoping you can come and see it yourself.
Yours,

A.They work for 14 hours every day. B.Their work is easy but dangerous.

28.根据第二段中“Both groups were also asked not to eat or drink anything with caffeine...in the hour before they went to bed.”可知,两组参与者都被要求在睡前一小时内不要吃或喝任何含咖啡因的东西。
29.根据第三段可知,阅读有助于睡眠的原因包括:让人放松“it’s relaxing”对应A项“让人放松”、“forget the worries of the day”对应B项“帮助忘记白天的烦恼”、“keeps you away from phones and computers”对应C项“使人远离手机和电脑”。D选项“让人们吃更多食物”文中未提及且不符合逻辑。
30.根据最后一段中“Even e-readers give off blue light. This light can keep you awake...”可知,电子书阅读器会发出蓝光,这种光线会让人保持清醒,不利于睡眠。
31.根据文章最后一句“So for better sleep, try reading a paper book before bed!”可知,作者建议为了获得更好的睡眠,睡前尝试阅读纸质书。
【答案】32.D 33.A 34.D 35.A
32.由第一段“Instead, they care more about getting good value for their money”和第二段“Reverse consumption encourages people not to waste”可知,“reverse consumption”是一种新的消费观念,指反向消费,主要表现是追求性价比和避免浪费。
33.由第三段“Many young people are starting to realize that having lots of material goods doesn‘t bring true happiness. They are more interested in personal growth...”可知,年轻人意识到拥有大量物质商品并不能带来真正的幸福,他们更关注“个人成长”。由此可以推断:年轻人认为真正的幸福来自内在的成长(如个人成长、精神富足、社会关系),而非物质拥有。
34.由最后一段“Companies are being pushed to take social and environmental responsibility more seriously”可知,反向消费促使企业承担更多的社会和环境责任。

Dear Lisa,
Since you love Chinese history and culture, I think you will enjoy Xiasi Ancient Town in Guizhou.
