Passage 1
(25-26九年级上·河北唐山·期中)阅读下面短文,简略回答问题。
Parents are important in shaping their children’s lives. They make decisions and plans for their children. However, in my opinion, teenagers over the age of 15 should be allowed to make their own decisions.
To begin with, teenagers over 15 have the ability to make independent decisions. With the rapid development of information and technology, today’s teenagers have a better understanding of the world. Compared with their parents, they are knowledgeable (知识渊博的) at an early age. So they can make independent decisions.
Making decisions helps teenagers feel confident. When teenagers are allowed to make decisions, they feel more confident in their ability to deal with problems. This can help them develop a stronger feeling of control over their lives.
By making decisions, teenagers learn to be independent. If parents make decisions for their children all the time, they will never learn to be responsible (负有责任的) for themselves. They will just depend on their parents for every choice in their lives, no matter how big or small it is.
When teenagers are allowed to make decisions, they may make mistakes. But it doesn’t matter. That’s because they can learn from their mistakes and will do better next time. During the process, teenagers can develop critical (批判性的) thinking skills and problem-solving abilities.
Allowing teenagers to make decisions can improve relationships between children and parents. By giving children respect, parents can show that they trust their children to make good choices. With trust and respect, children will have more communication with their parents.
All in all, teenagers over 15 should be given the chance to make decisions. They have the ability to do so and that is good for them and even their parents.

Passage2
(25-26九年级上·山东德州·期中)阅读短文,根据题目要求完成各小题。
When looking for healthy relationships, we often forget that true happiness comes from inside us. It’s a common saying that you must love yourself before you can love others. Self-love is the basis of a happy life, but why is it so hard for us to achieve this?
One reason is that we are taught to be selfless from a young age. Whenever we focus on our own needs, we are reminded of how selfish we are. However, there’s nothing wrong with considering ourselves first. Self-love is not selfish. It helps us understand what price is truly worth paying.
Self-love is important for all healthy relationships. Just as strong roots help a tree withstand strong winds, strong self-love makes it harder for life’s challenges to knock us down. To understand self-love, we need to understand its true meaning.
Self-love is more than just a definition (定义): it’s about caring for and valuing oneself. It’s about accepting who you are. It’s about building a kind relationship with yourself.
To understand self-love, let’s look at its key elements:
Self-Acceptance: This means accepting all parts of yourself, including your strengths and weaknesses. Be true to yourself and accept all that you are.
Self-Compassion (同情): Be kind to yourself when you make mistakes or face setbacks. Treat yourself in the same way you would offer to someone you love.
Self-Care: While it’s important to care for others, the most important person to care for is yourself. You can only give what you have in abundance (丰富). So, take care of yourself first.
All in all, self-love is important for a happy and healthy life. It’s about accepting, caring for, and being kind to yourself. By doing so, you build a strong root for all your relationships.
1.Why do we often fail to love ourselves?
2.What is the true meaning of self-love according to the text?
3.How many key elements do we need to follow in order to understand self-love?
4.What is the main idea of the passage? (Within 30 words)
5.Do you agree with the above idea about self-love? Please list an example of loving yourself.
【答案】1.Because we are taught to be selfless from a young age. 2.It’s about caring for and valuing oneself, accepting who you are and building a kind relationship with yourself. 3.3./Three. 4.Self-love means accepting, caring for and being kind to yourself, which is important for all healthy relationships. 5.Yes, I do. I treat myself to a small dessert once a week to enjoy life.
【导语】本文探讨了“自爱”的重要性、真正含义以及它的三个关键要素(自我接受、自我同情、自我照顾),强调自爱是幸福健康生活的基础。
【详解】1.第二段明确指出“One reason is that we are taught to be selfless from a young age.”,说明我们难以爱自己的原因是从小被教育要无私。
2.第四段直接定义“Self-love is more than just a definition: it’s about caring for and valuing oneself. It’s about accepting who you are. It’s about building a kind relationship with yourself.”,根据原文信息作答即可。
3.第五段开头“To understand self-love, let’s look at its key elements:”后列举了“Self-Acceptance”、“Self-Compassion”和“Self-Care”三个要素。
4.文章首尾均点明主旨,首段“Self-love is the basis of a happy life”和末段“All in all, self-love is important for a happy and healthy life. It’s about accepting, caring for, and being kind to yourself.”,整合后概括为自爱意味着接纳、关怀和善待自己,这对所有健康关系都很重要。答案不唯一,基于原文合理即可。

Q2: Why do you think people sometimes do things just because their friends are doing them?
What is peer (同伴) pressure?
Teenagers often feel pressure from homework, parents and teachers. But one big pressure comes from fitting in with friends, which is called “peer pressure”. It happens when you do something just because your friends do it or ask you to join them. What do teenagers think about peer pressure?
Li QianTeenagers sometimes act under peer pressure. Some even take it as an excuse to do wrong things. If your friends push you to smoke or drink, you may get into trouble and develop bad habits.

Passage4
(2026·河北张家口·二模)阅读下面短文,简略回答问题。
Reflection learning (反思性学习) means thinking carefully about something to understand it better. It is not about being negative (负面的) — it’s about asking questions, making good choices, and learning from what you do.
Everyone reflects in their own way. There’s no one right way to do it. You don’t have to see it as extra homework. You can practice reflection anytime while you’re learning. Reflective learning can help you in many ways. First, it helps you plan and decide what to do first. With so many things like school, family, friends and hobbies, you can feel stressed. When you connect school goals to your life goals, you’ll feel more excited about learning.
Reflection can also help you stop putting things off and feel less stressed. By thinking about when and why you avoid tasks, you can change those habits and feel more confident. To reflect well, you can try tools like reflective journals (日志). In the journal, write what happened, what you did, what you learned and what you could do better. Passage5
(25-26九年级上·河北石家庄·期末)阅读下面短文,简略回答问题。
Have you heard about the saying, “Fall down seven times, stand up eight”? It tells you that you should have the courage to keep going no matter how hard things get. You need the energy to keep pushing forward. This is called perseverance (毅力).
What is perseverance? It means sticking to something over a long time, even when it gets difficult. For example, you want to practice a trick (技巧) on your bike. But you fall down again and again. If you still keep trying, then you will have perseverance.
Perseverance helps both your mind and feelings. Studies show that feeling positive (积极的) can reduce stress and make you feel happier. The positive feeling is closely connected to perseverance. In fact, the feeling can make you feel braver to try new things.
Angela Duckworth is an expert in thoughts and feelings. She believes that talent is not always the most important thing. Instead, having perseverance can really help you succeed.
The ability to persevere can be developed. According to Duckworth, the best way to learn perseverance is to have a growth mindset (思维模式). It means believing that your mind is able to develop. Besides, a growth mindset also means you can achieve anything if you put your mind to it. So instead of thinking “I can’t do this”, try thinking “I can’t do this now but I’ll have a try.”

Passage2
(2026·河北承德·一模)阅读下面短文,简略回答问题。
When you’re facing a challenge, do you find a way to overcome it? Or do you tell yourself there’s no point trying? Learning to believe in yourself gives you confidence.
What does self-belief mean?
Believing in yourself means knowing you can get better at anything. You see a challenge as something you can overcome, if you try hard enough. It’s not believing you can do everything but knowing that, with practice, you can improve. A famous expert called Dr. Al Bandura said, “Self-belief means you can face all kinds of challenges if you make an effort to achieve it.”
How is it good for you?
Besides increasing your self-confidence and helping you feel good about yourself, self-belief makes you more hopeful. People with healthy self-belief are likely to work harder. If you believe you can play a musical instrument, for example, then you’re more likely to spend time practicing it.
How can you believe in yourself?
The best way to believe in yourself is to celebrate your successes. So if you’re studying a difficult subject at school, look at what you’ve learned and give yourself a pat (轻拍) on the back. Besides, being inspired (激励) by others is also a good way. Think about your favorite athlete or musician, and how hard they worked for their goals. This gives you energy to work hard. Finally, staying calm before a challenge makes you feel more confident. It can help you to keep nervous (情绪) under control. This could be writing down thoughts or going for a walk.
1.What does “self-belief” mean according to Dr. Al Bandura’s words?
2.Why is self-belief good for you? (写出一种答案即可)
3.How many ways to believe in yourself are mentioned in the text?

Passage3
(2026·山西长治·二模)请阅读下面语篇,根据其内容回答问题,并将答案写在答题卡相应的位置上。
If someone is really into something, we can say they have an addiction (上瘾). There are plenty of pleasant, moderate (适度的) addictions in this world. For example, some people are addicted to sports. Others are addicted to reading. But teenage addiction gives us a lot to think about. We have to face this serious problem.
Why are teenagers easily addicted?
First, teenagers’ brains develop rapidly between the ages of 13 and 19, and the reward system is more sensitive (敏感的). This makes them excited about certain things easily. Secondly, during this period, teenagers are looking for self-worth. Some activities or interests may be their way of expressing themselves. Third, the pressure from life or study makes them stay away from real problems. Fourth, teenagers are not good at self-management and they don’t like strict rules.
I played online games for more than five hours every day in winter vacation. I was able to complete the tasks in the game well. I could move up to a higher level.
—John Li, 15
What does addiction influence?
·Schoolwork
Some teenagers who follow famous stars give up their studies. They lose interest in knowledge. Exams and homework are boring and tiring in their eyes.
·________
Teenagers with Internet addiction often lose control. They may argue with their parents or even refuse to communicate. Their relationship with other family members breaks down. Parents become disappointed and sad.
·Health
Usually, teens who are addicted to junk food get fat. They get sick easily. Some even have psychological problems.
How to help teenagers give up addiction?
Parents should understand their children’s pressure and needs. They must first have deep communication with their children, find the reasons why they run away from real life and come up with ways to solve it. Parents can set rules to limit (限制) the amount of time their children spend online every day.
Besides, parents should set good examples. Then, from now on, all family members should develop good living habits together. This also means fairness.
Mr. Smith did a survey among 50 of his students. The survey asked how much time they spent on short videos each day during the winter holiday. He said those who spend over two hours on short videos are addicted.

Passage4
(2026·河北邯郸·二模)阅读下面短文,简略回答问题。
Do you often put off your homework until the last minute? If so, you might be a procrastinator. Procrastination (拖延症)is a common problem for many students. It means putting off tasks that need to be done until later, even though you know it might cause trouble.
So why do students procrastinate? Some tasks are too difficult, so students avoid them. Also, there are many distractions (分散注意力的事物)around them, like smartphones and social media, which make it easy to waste time.
According to a recent study, students who don’t do their work on time often feel more stressed (紧张的) and worried. It causes them to have worse sleep quality and poor health. What’s more, when everything is left until the last minute, students have to work in a hurry. This often results in more mistakes and lower grades on average.
Luckily, there are ways to fight procrastination. Experts suggest breaking down big tasks into smaller steps. This makes the work seem less scary and easier to start. You can set a clear deadline (截止期限)for each step. After you finish it, give yourself a small reward (奖励)—this can also help. Another useful tip is to create a study environment that is free from distractions. For example, you can turn off your phone or reduce screen time while studying. Besides, when your mind is fresh, you should do the most challenging task first.
By learning to manage time and tasks well, students can overcome procrastination. This will not only lead to better grades but also reduce stress and create more free time for hobbies and relaxation.
1.What are the distractions mentioned in Paragraph 2?
2.How do students who don’t do their work on time often feel?
3.What do experts advise us to do with big tasks?
4.What should we do when our minds are fresh?
5.Give another tip to help us stop procrastination. (Your answer should be different from the tips in the text.)

Passage5
(2026·河北唐山·一模)阅读下面短文,简略回答问题。
Everyone is born with the ability to be a smart student—someone who knows how to study and how to succeed. With the right methods, this student can be you.
• Set yourself goals
Everybody needs something to work towards. An hour of studying each night? Fifty pages’ read throughout the week? Make certain goals you can reach for. They can be whatever you think would keep you going.
• Work in a study group
It has shown that students studying in a small group get better results. It’ll also be more fun than studying alone. So ask your friends and make plans for studying. But choose the people you’re studying with carefully. You don’t want to work with someone who just wants to destroy your learning time.
• Don’t put off your homework
It’s important that you finish it on time. If you want to actually understand your homework, do it attentively (专心致志地). When you get home after school, sit down and get your homework over with. Then you can do other things and not worry about it the next morning.
• Take breaks more often than you think
When you want to learn something, you’ll always think, “Study, and study some more until you have it down.” Actually, that’s not how it works. The brain needs enough rest from time to time. When you take breaks, your attention and memory are improved.
School life can sometimes be full of challenges, but now with all the tips above, you will be on the right way to success! Cheer up, all smart students!
1.What kind of goals should we set?
2.Why do some students prefer working in a small study group?
3.What should we do when we get home after school?
4.When can our attention and memory be improved?
5.What should you say to the students after reading the article?(Your answer should be different from the underlined one in the text.)
【答案】1.Goals that we can reach for and that can keep us going. 2.Because they can get better results and it is more fun than studying alone. 3.Sit down and get our homework over with. 4.When we take breaks. 5.If we keep trying, we will surely become smarter and more successful.(合理即可)
【导语】本文主要介绍了成为聪明学生的四种方法:设定目标、小组学习、不拖延作业、适当休息。
【详解】1.根据第二段“Make certain goals you can reach for. They can be whatever you think would keep you going.”,目标应该是可实现的,并且能激励自己坚持下去的。
2.根据第三段“It has shown that students studying in a small group get better results. It’ll also be more fun than studying alone.”
3.根据第四段“When you get home after school, sit down and get your homework over with.”
4. 根据第五段“When you take breaks, your attention and memory are improved.”
5.文中最后一句是“Cheer up, all smart students!”,因此回答应使用不同的鼓励语,合理即可。
Passage6
(2026·北京通州·一模)阅读短文,根据短文内容回答问题。
When we are at school, we all want to get better at studying. Before quizzes, exams, or projects, preparing well is always important. But what’s the best way to study? Should we sit alone in a quiet place, or study with friends?
Studying alone can mean different things—like sitting quietly in a library or a table with headphones. This way of studying has both good and bad points. The biggest advantages are fewer distractions (分心), setting your own pace and better focus. When you’re alone, you don’t have to talk to others, so you can focus only on your work. You can take breaks when you feel tired, or read at a speed that’s comfortable for you. This is helpful because no one knows your learning needs better than you. Also, studying alone lets you spend more time on topics you find hard and less time on things you already understand well. However, studying alone has a problem: without friends around, it’s easy to get off task. Even good students might waste hours on their phones or watching videos without noticing. Friends can push you to stay focused, but you don’t get that when you’re alone.
Studying in groups (usually 2-5 people) also has pros and cons. Group study helps you remember things better. When you explain ideas to others, you remember them more easily. You can also learn more from your friends—everyone brings different knowledge to the group. The best part is that friends can keep you motivated. When others are studying, you’re less likely to get distracted, and you can work harder together. But groups have drawbacks too. The group can only be as productive as the least focused person. If one person is noisy, checks his phone a lot, or talks about other things, it can ruin the study time for everyone.
Everyone learns differently, so the best study method is the one that works for you. You might need to try both alone and group study to find out what helps you most. For me, group study is better. I feel less stressed, and my friends keep me on track. When I study alone, I sometimes end up watching videos online for an hour without realizing it! Both methods have good and bad sides, so it’s up to you to choose what helps you succeed.
1.What is always important before quizzes, exams, or projects?
2.What are the biggest advantages when you study alone?
3.Why can people learn more from their friends in group study?
4.Do you want to study alone or study in groups? Why? (Give two reasons.)
【答案】1.Preparing well is always important. 2.The biggest advantages are fewer distractions, setting your own pace and better focus. 3.Because everyone brings different knowledge to the group. 4.I want to study in groups. Because group study helps me remember things better and my friends can keep me motivated.
【导语】本文主要介绍了独自学习和小组学习两种学习方式,分别分析了它们的优点和缺点,指出每个人的学习方式不同,最好的学习方法是适合自己的那一种。
【详解】1.文章第一段明确指出:“Before quizzes, exams, or projects, preparing well is always important.”,这是对该问题的直述,可直接提取。
2.文章第二段明确写道:“The biggest advantages are fewer distractions, setting your own pace and better focus.” 因此可直接提取这三个优点作为答案。
3.文章第三段中明确提到:“You can also learn more from your friends—everyone brings different knowledge to the group.”,这是小组学习中能从朋友身上学到更多的原因,可直接提取。
4.本题要求学生结合自身实际回答,答案不唯一,合理即可。

Can Sleeping Longer on Weekends Help Teens Feel Less Anxious?
For many teens, Saturday mornings are a time to sleep longer. After a busy week, the weekend offers a chance to catch up on sleep. A new study finds that sleeping a little longer on weekends may help reduce anxiety (焦虑)—but only if teens get less than two extra hours of sleep.
Sleep is important for the brain and body, especially for teenagers. However, 75 percent of American teens do not get the recommended 8 to 10 hours of sleep each night. School and other activities make them wake up early, and their body clocks make it hard to fall asleep before 11 p.m.
Some past studies suggested that too much weekend sleep might be linked to depression (抑郁). But no one had carefully studied how it relates to anxiety. So researcher Sojeong Kim decided to find out.
Kim used data from nearly 1, 900 teens aged 12 to 15. She looked at their sleep patterns (模式) and their feelings of anxiety. She found that teens who slept in for less than two extra hours on weekends reported the lowest anxiety symptoms. Teens who did not sleep in, or who lost sleep on weekends, had higher anxiety. Those who slept more than two extra hours had the highest anxiety symptoms of all.
Kim shared her findings at a meeting in 2025. She thinks that big changes between weekday and weekend sleep schedules may cause a problem called “social jet lag”. This happens when the body’s clock does not match the sleep cycle. It can make people feel tired and unfocused.
Kim did not find a clear link between weekend sleep and depression. That may be because depression usually starts later in adolescence (青春期). Anxiety, however, often begins earlier.
For now, Kim’s advice for teens is simple: getting a little extra sleep on weekends may help you feel less anxious, but too much may have the opposite effect.
1.What is important for teenagers’ brain and body according to the passage?
2.What problem may be caused by big changes between weekday and weekend sleep schedules?
3.Why did Kim not find a clear link between weekend sleep and depression?
4.Which sleep habit do you prefer on weekends — not sleeping in, sleeping in for less than two extra hours, or sleeping in for more than two extra hours? Why? (Please give two reasons.)
【答案】1.Sleep. 2.Social jet lag. 3.Because depression usually starts later in adolescence. 4.Sleeping in for less than two extra hours. Reason 1: It helps reduce teens’ anxiety. Reason 2: It may cause less social jet lag and help people stay energetic and focused.
第二段提到“Sleep is important for the brain and body, especially for teenagers.”直接提取原文信息。
2.第五段提到“big changes between weekday and weekend sleep schedules may cause a problem called ‘social jet lag’.”直接提取原文信息即可。
3.第六段提到“That may be because depression usually starts later in adolescence.”直接说明了:这或许是因为抑郁症通常在青春期后期才会出现。
4.本题为开放性题目,答案不唯一,言之有理即可。
Passage8
(2026·北京顺义·一模)阅读短文,根据短文内容回答问题。
Playing Out
In recent years, a movement called “Playing Out” has become popular. It aims to bring back safe, community-centered outdoor play for children, helping them stay healthy, happy, and connected to where they live.
Children are gathered on a “playing street” that is temporarily (暂时地) closed to the traffic, where they can play freely, enjoy games together and form new friendships.
The movement started when a group of parents noticed that their children were spending less time playing outside because of safety worries and more time spent on digital entertainment. To change this, they began working together to close their streets for short periods. This creates a safe space for children’s activities like football, skipping and drawing with chalk.
However, there are some challenges. Parents must apply for the street-closing and make sure traffic is managed safely. Some local councils (政务委员会) provide signs and cones to help with this, but in other areas, parents have to find these themselves. There is sometimes a small fee (费用) for applying, and it needs to be done each time. Adults must be there to make sure traffic doesn’t come down the road, as well as setting up signs to tell drivers where to go.
Even so, the benefits are clear. Children learn new physical skills—like kicking a ball or riding a bike—and also social skills, such as how to get along with others from different backgrounds. What’s more, they feel more part of the community. Adults benefit too, by meeting neighbors and breaking down barriers (隔阂) between people. Rachel, one of the founders, says: “The children don’t all go to the same schools, but now they recognize each other. They’ve played team games together and even say ‘Hi’ when they meet in the park.”
The “Playing Out” movement shows how communities can come together to create safe, fun spaces for children. By closing streets to cars and encouraging outdoor play, it helps children live healthier, happier lives while building stronger neighborhoods. The movement hopes to encourage more communities to start their own “playing streets”.
1.What is the purpose of the “Playing Out” movement?
2.Why did parents start the “Playing Out” movement?
3.What can children learn from the “Playing Out” movement?
4.Will you support your community to start your own “playing streets” for children? Why or why not? (Please give two reasons.)
【答案】1.(It aims) to bring back safe, community-centered outdoor play for children, (helping them stay healthy, happy, and connected to where they live.)/Helping them stay healthy, happy, and connected to where they live. 2.They noticed that their children were spending less time playing outside because of safety worries and more time on digital entertainment./They noticed that their children were spending less time playing outside and more time on digital entertainment./They wanted to change the fact that their children were spending less time playing outside (because of safety worries) and more time on digital entertainment./Because of safety worries and more time on digital entertainment./They noticed that their children were spending less time playing outside (because of safety worries)./They noticed that their children spent more time on digital entertainment. 3.Children learn new physical skills—like kicking a ball or riding a bike—and also social skills, such as how to get along with others from different backgrounds./Children learn new physical skills and also social skills./Children learn new physical skills. /They learn social skills. 4.Yes, I will support it. First, it can provide a safe space for children to play outdoors. Second, it can help them learn physical skills and social skills./No, I won’t support it. First, parents have to apply for street-closing each time and even pay a small fee, which is troublesome. Second, adults must keep watching the road all the time to manage traffic safely, and it takes too much time and energy.
【导语】本文介绍了“Playing Out”活动,它封闭街道为孩子打造安全户外玩耍空间。虽存在申请、管理等难题,但能帮助孩子锻炼身体、学会社交,也拉近邻里关系,值得推广。
【详解】1.首段直接给出“Playing Out”运动的目的“It aims to bring back safe, community-centered outdoor play for children, helping them stay healthy, happy, and connected to where they live.”,提取即可。
2.第三段“The movement started when a group of parents noticed that their children were spending less time playing outside because of safety worries and more time spent on digital entertainment.”,提到父母发起该运动的原因——孩子因安全担忧减少户外玩耍,更多时间用于数字娱乐,直接总结。
3.第五段“Children learn new physical skills—like kicking a ball or riding a bike—and also social skills, such as how to get along with others from different backgrounds.”,明确指出孩子能学到的技能(身体技能和社交技能),整合内容即可。
4.本题是开放性试题,需给出支持或反对的两个理由,理由需符合文章主题。
Passage9
(2026·北京朝阳·一模)阅读短文,根据短文内容回答问题。
You don’t have to give up sugar or run a marathon to see real changes in your health and happiness. Instead, science supports a “start small” way. Small actions that are done regularly are what create long-lasting changes.
The secret? It’s not willpower. It’s not even goals. The best way to turn a small change into a powerful habit is not to focus on your motivation (动力), your reasons for doing it, or your long-term goals.
That is what everyone thinks, but research has shown that making small changes to the environment, the situation in which you perform the behavior, is far more powerful. Goals aren’t bad; they certainly have a purpose, but “motivation” only lasts for so long. Habits need to be two things to stick to: easy and enjoyable.
For example, do you think your goal of getting back into the jeans you wore two years ago will encourage you to hit the gym every day? Probably not. What will, then? Choosing a gym that is close to your house, preferably less than 5 kilometers away, is the most important consideration for keeping a regular exercise habit, according to our research. Even better if you are doing an activity you really enjoy or meeting a good friend there.
The best part is that once these tiny changes take root (扎根), they add up to better sleep, stronger bodies, calmer feelings and a clearer mind.
Just as small drops make a big ocean, small, regular habits can lead to great health improvements. As a result, these changes are more likely to last because they come from doing the same things again and again, not from a short time of hard work.
Start now by choosing one or two of these small habits that suit you. Once you feel confident with these, add similar habits for even greater benefits.
Instead of trying to change everything or forcing yourself to do something you hate, focus on two questions: How can I make it easy to do? And how can I make it enjoyable? That’s how you change your life, one small change at a time.
1.What can create long-lasting changes?
2.What kind of habits are easy to stick to?
3.Why are these changes likely to last?
4.What small habit do you have for better health or daily life, and why does it work for you? (Please give two reasons.)
【答案】1.Small actions that are done regularly. 2.Habits that are easy and enjoyable. 3.Because they come from doing the same things again and again, not from a short time of hard work. 4.I have a habit of taking a 10-minute walk every night. First, it is easy to stick to because it doesn’t take much time and I can walk in the park near my home. Second, I enjoy listening to light music while walking, which makes the activity relaxing and fun for me.
根据原文第一段第3句“Small actions that are done regularly are what create long-lasting changes.”,可知规律进行的小行动能带来长期改变,答案是原文直接信息。
2.根据原文第三段第3句“Habits need to be two things to stick to: easy and enjoyable.”,可知容易坚持的习惯需要满足“简单”和“令人愉快”两个条件,答案是原文直接信息。
3.根据原文第六段第2句“As a result, these changes are more likely to last because they come from doing the same things again and again, not from a short time of hard work.”,可知这些改变之所以可能持续,是因为它们来自反复进行的相同行为,而非短时间的努力,答案是原文直接信息。
4.本题是开放性试题,答案不唯一,但观点需基于文中提到的习惯特点,如“简单易做”、“令人愉快”、“规律进行”等,结合自身生活经历作答即可。
Passage10
(25-26九年级·山西·二轮复习)
Language skills mean the abilities to use a language effectively for communication.
They include:◆Vocabulary ◆ Grammar ◆Listening ◆ Speaking
◆Reading ◆Writing
In our daily lives, we usually look for ways to improve our language skills which can open up new chances for us. Two popular activities that often come to mind are reading and watching TV. But here’s the question that many of us wonder about: which one is better for developing language skills? Let’s take a closer look at both sides.
Reading is better!◆When we read books, we come across plenty of words. We might learn words like “meadow” “brook” and “grove”. These words are not as commonly used in daily conversations or on TV. By reading, we can learn many new words.
◆Complex (复杂的) sentences are often used in books. When we read, we can see how these sentences are put together correctly. Reading helps us understand grammar rules better and learn how to use them in our own writing and speaking.
◆Reading requires us to focus on the words, understand the context, and think about the meaning. We have to put all the information together. This process improves our ability to focus and understand.
Watching TV is better!◆TV shows, especially sitcoms or documentaries, use real-life language. People talk in a natural way, with common expressions. This helps us learn how to speak more naturally.
◆Watching TV helps us improve our listening skills. We can hear different accents (口音) and pronunciations. Also, by learning from English speakers, we can improve our own pronunciation.
◆When we watch TV, we see the facial expressions, the body movements and the whole situation. All these together help us understand the language better. If someone says a word we don’t know, what we can see makes it easy to understand the meaning.
There are also other activities that can improve language skills, like playing language games, listening to music and so on. Do any of these activities sound interesting to you?
1.What are language skills?
2.Why can reading help us with grammar?
3.How can we learn to speak more naturally?
4.While we are watching TV, what makes it easy to understand a word?
5.Which way do you prefer to improve your language skills? How can it help you?
【答案】1.(They are) the abilities to use a language effectively for communication./… 2.Because when we read, we can see how complex sentences are put together correctly./ Because reading helps us understand grammar rules better and learn how to use them in our own writing and speaking./… 3.By watching TV (shows)./… 4.The facial expressions, the body movements, and the whole situation./ What we can see. 5.示例一: I prefer to read books./... When reading, I can go at my own speed and take as much time as I need to work things out, which helps me learn new language knowledge better./…In books, grammar rules are usually more strictly followed, and this helps me learn to use grammar correctly./... When I read books, I come across plenty of words./...
示例二: I like watching TV./... Watching TV is an interesting way to learn English effectively, as it uses both my sight and hearing./... I can improve my spoken English and listening skills by watching real-life scenes on TV./…I can learn how to speak more naturally./…
【详解】本文是一篇说明文,主要对比了“阅读”和“看电视”两种提升语言技能的方式,分别阐述了两者的优势,最后补充了其他提升语言技能的活动。
1.第一段开头“Language skills mean the abilities to use a language effectively for communication.”可知,原文直接定义了语言技能是“为了交流而有效使用语言的能力”,直接提取这句话即可。
2.阅读板块下第二点“Complex sentences are often used in books. When we read, we can see how these sentences are put together correctly. Reading helps us understand grammar rules better and learn how to use them in our own writing and speaking.”可知,阅读能帮助我们理解语法规则,学会正确组合复杂句子并运用它们,这是阅读对语法有帮助的原因。
3.看电视板块下第一点“TV shows, especially sitcoms or documentaries, use real-life language. People talk in a natural way, with common expressions. This helps us learn how to speak more naturally.”可知,通过观看电视节目(尤其是情景喜剧或纪录片),学习真实生活中的自然表达和常用句式,就能学会更自然地说话。
4.看电视板块下第三点“When we watch TV, we see the facial expressions, the body movements, and the whole situation. All these together help us understand the language better. If someone says a word we don’t know, what we can see makes it easy to understand the meaning.”可知,看电视时,我们能看到面部表情、肢体动作和整体情境,这些信息能帮助我们轻松理解不认识的单词含义。
5.本题为开放性试题,可从阅读或看电视中任选其一,结合文中对应优势作答。
示例一(选阅读):I prefer to read books. When reading, I can learn many new uncommon words and complex sentence structures. It helps me understand grammar rules better and use them correctly in writing and speaking.
示例二(选看电视):I prefer to watch TV. I can learn real-life language and speak more naturally by watching TV shows. Also, it improves my listening skills and pronunciation.

1.What do parents do for their children according to the text?
2.Why can teenagers over 15 make independent decisions?
3.List two advantages of making decisions for teenagers over 15.
4.What can mistakes help teenagers develop?
5.Have you ever made your own decisions? How did it help you?
Passage3
(2026·山西忻州·二模)请阅读下面语篇,根据其内容回答问题,并将答案写在答题卡相应的位置上。
Think and Share
Q1: Every one of your friends wants to play video games, but you just want to read. What might you do?
Q2: Why do you think people sometimes do things just because their friends are doing them?
What is peer (同伴) pressure?
Teenagers often feel pressure from homework, parents and teachers. But one big pressure comes from fitting in with friends, which is called “peer pressure”. It happens when you do something just because your friends do it or ask you to join them. What do teenagers think about peer pressure?
Li QianTeenagers sometimes act under peer pressure. Some even take it as an excuse to do wrong things. If your friends push you to smoke or drink, you may get into trouble and develop bad habits.
Wei FangPeer pressure isn’t always bad. It can help teenagers make good choices. For example, your friends may encourage you to work hard at school. Stand up for what you believe in, and you’ll feel more confident about yourself.
How can you get along with your peers?
The key is knowing when to follow others and when to stand your ground. If your friends ask you to do something you don’t want to, you can suggest something else or just say “No” and walk away.
Be confident in what you believe and hang out with friends who share the same ideas. Talk to someone you trust if you feel stressed. Don’t keep your feelings inside.
Learn to Say “No” PolitelySaying no politely means refusing a request in a kind and clear way without hurting others’ feelings. These simple words and short sentences may help you. ·I’m afraid I can’t. I have to...
·Thanks, but I’ll pass—I’m not a singer!
·Sorry, but I have to say no—I’d rather...
·Not this time, but thank you.
·I don’t think I’m the right person for that.
1.When does peer pressure happen?
2.How does peer pressure influence teenagers in Li Qian’s opinion?
3.According to Wei Fang, why is peer pressure not always bad?
4.What is the key to getting along with your peers?
5.If your friends want to play video games but you just want to read, what will you do? And what will you say to them?
Reflection helps you manage your time and choose what’s most important. It also helps you set and reach goals.
You can also include feedback (反馈), pictures or notes. Try to write often, focus on one topic, ask yourself questions and review your writing to find useful patterns. There are no wrong answers, so just be honest in your reflection and keep learning.
1.What is reflection learning about?
2.When can you practice reflection while you’re learning?
3.How will you feel about learning when you connect school goals to your life goals?
4.Why do we try reflective journals?
5.What do you think of reflection learning? Where do you think students can have reflection learning?

1.What does the saying “Fall down seven times, stand up eight” teach us?
2.What does perseverance mean according to the text?
3.How do positive feelings help people according to the studies?
4.What is the best way to develop the ability to persevere according to Duckworth?

Passage 1
(2026·河北石家庄·二模)Experiencing changes is a common part of life. People change with age, not only in appearance (外貌) but also in thinking. These are natural changes and it would be surprising without them. We also experience changes because of alterations (改变) in the environment. These can sometimes influence us.
People can do a number of things when facing big changes. Most importantly, they need to realize their own feelings about things and find a trusted person to talk to. People hope these people will be able to offer support during the period of change.
People respond (应对) to changes differently. Some people really enjoy the idea of a change and a challenge. To support one another, people need to be sensitive (敏感的) to other people’s feelings. After all, something exciting for one person may be very worrying for someone else.
Most people feel nervous or worried about some things, but feel very confident about others. Knowing these parts of yourself can help you deal with changes. You can first look for the parts of the changes within your ability. This can help you deal with the parts of the changes beyond your comfort zone.
It can sometimes help to look back at your life so far and see your way of dealing with all the changes you have already experienced.
1.What natural changes do people have with age?
2.What should people do when facing big changes?
3.Why do people need to be sensitive to others’ feelings?
4.How can people deal with the parts of change beyond their confidence?
5.What changes have you had recently? How did you deal with them?

4.What is the best way to believe in ourselves?
5.Do you think self-belief is important for students? Why or why not? (Please give at least one reason.)

1.Which types of moderate addiction are mentioned in the passage?
2.Why was John Li addicted to computer games?
3.What can be put in ________?
4.How many students were addicted to short videos according to the survey?
5.What are you addicted to? How will you improve the situation?

Playing Out
In recent years, a movement called “Playing Out” has become popular.
