The Shenzhen-produced dance drama “Wing Chun” (《咏春》) shows a traditional Chinese kung fu style. It was set to be performed in Paris from Oct. 4 to 6, 2024, with four performances over these three days, according to Shenzhen Daily.
France Soir, a French national newspaper, highly praised the dance drama to its readers. According to the report, people who like Chinese martial arts (武术) and dance, will find “Wing Chun” very worth attending.
The reporting team did a careful study of making “Wing Chun”. In order to show what it was like behind the stage, they traveled to Shenzhen to watch shows.
During their visit to the Pingshan Theatre in Shenzhen in late June, the reporters were impressed by the production, saying that “the sets have nothing to envy Broadway theaters, and the stage is completely modern.”

Mrs. Everett’s music studio is always filled with the smell of old wood and lemon polish. For 12-year-old Noah, the metronome’s (节拍器) sound felt like a countdown to failure. His fingers, so sure 1 a basketball, turned all wrong on the piano keys.
“I’ll never get this,” he sighed (叹气) after practising the same Mozart phrase over and over again. Mrs. Everett wasn’t 2 . She placed a chocolate on the piano. “For when you play it through once without stopping,” she said. “The mistake doesn’t matter. The not-giving-up does.”
Noah 3 his head. “But it sounds terrible.”
“Let me show you something.” She opened a worn notebook filled with her own 4 notes.
The early notes were full of red corrections: something 5 here, or something missing there. “See this?” She pointed to the page. “That day I 6 .”
“But look at this later one.” She turned to where the 7 piece was marked with a star. “The beauty wasn’t in the star—it was in all these terrible pages that came 8 .”
Noah 9 the notebook and then his own practice notebook. He noticed his mistakes were always in the same two parts. He focused on and only 10 the two parts. His fingers finally found the right keys, 11 the satisfaction was deeper than that from any basketball goal.
He never did get the 12 that day. But he still felt happy about his progress. The next week, when he played the phrase 13 , Mrs. Everett smiled. “The music was always in your hands. You just had to give it time to find 14 way out.”
So mistakes don’t matter—what 15 is correcting them and sticking with patience to finally succeed, just as Noah did with his piano practice.

in/by/at无法与后文形成对应固定搭配。
Noah反复练习依旧弹不好而叹气,老师反而拿出巧克力鼓励他“She placed a chocolate on the piano.”,可见她没有动怒;angry意为“生气的”,符合语境。happy(开心的)、nervous(紧张的)、excited(激动的)不符合老师平和包容的态度。
后文他表达自我否定“But it sounds terrible.”,对应摇头的否定动作;“shook his head”是固定搭配,意为“摇头”。nodded(点头)表认同,raised(抬起)、held(握住)无否定情绪。
class(课堂)、music(音乐)范围宽泛,performance(演出)和笔记内容不匹配。
right(正确的)语义相反,easy(简单的)、hard(困难的)无法对应修改标注。
fell(摔倒)、lost(丢失)、won(获胜)不符合受挫情绪。
different(不同的)、new(新的)、old(旧的)无法对应前后同一曲目。
after(之后)、next(下一个)、within(在内部)逻辑颠倒。
brought back(带回)、put down(放下)、pointed at(指着)没有“通读查看”的含义。
结合“his mistakes were always in the same two parts”,难点部分需要多次弹奏打磨;repeated意为“重复、反复练习”,符合语境。chose(选择)、understood(理解)、changed(修改)缺少反复操练的动作。
but表转折,so表因果,or表选择。
notebook(笔记本)、key(琴键)、star(五角星)不是奖励物品。
directly(直接地)、quickly(快速地)、simply(简单地)不强调演奏无误。
her(她的)、his(他的)、your(你的)人称指代不匹配。
happens(发生)、means(意味着)、fits(适合)无此固定用法。

Who should do the dishes? Who gets to choose the game to play? To make a decision, some people play rock, paper, scissors.
“It is a special sport,” said Wyatt Baldwin, president of the World Rock Paper Scissors Association. Baldwin is skilled at the game. He once won 43 games in a row. 6 “Look for patterns in your opponent’s (对手的) moves,” Baldwin added.
People have been playing rock, paper, scissors for a long time. The game was probably played in China about 2,000 years ago. 7 In Indonesia, it’s known as Semut, Orang, Gajah. This means “ant, person, elephant”. In Japan, the game is called Janken. People in Singapore play bird, stone, water. 8 The idea of the game is the same worldwide, though. You face off against an opponent. Each player “throws” one of three hand symbols. You win, lose or tie.
Many people think rock, paper, scissors is all luck. Your chances of winning or losing seem the same. But the game is not completely random (随机的). All serious rock, paper, scissors players know this. A 2014 study in China found two key patterns in the way people play. 9 However, losers are more likely to go from rock to paper to scissors.
10 Expert players think about their next move. They also think about what their opponent’s next move might be. “There are lots of different strategies (策略) that are always running through my mind,” Baldwin said. In order to get good at the game, he suggested practicing.
A.What is the secret to his success?
B.People in India also like to play it.
C.Some cultures use different hand symbols.
D.One of them is to choose rock as the first move.
E.Winners prefer to repeat their winning hand symbols.
