B Spanish artist Almudena Romero knew from a young age that she loved plants: “When I was about four or five, my grandma would ask, ‘What do you want for your birthday?’ And I'd say, ‘An olive tree.’” Now, with her inclusion in exhibitions in London and Paris, she's showing her unique plant-based art that's pushing audiences to question their hyper-consumerism while showing that it's possible to create art in an eco-friendly manner. In her four-chapter series called “The Pigment Change”, rather than developing photos on photographic paper, she printed them directly onto plants. “I just put a negative(底片) on top of the leaf and leave it to the sunlight, and then the image gets recorded on the leaf,” Romero said. “I also print on living plants using a digital projector, and the plant makes photosynthesis(光合作用) with the light from the projector and records an image.” Romero, who was raised in Madrid, used to spend holidays on her grandparents' farm in Valencia, in eastern Spain. “When you grow close to nature, it becomes a really important thing in your life,” she said. “Plants for me are important, partly because of my family and because as a photographic material, they're impressive in quality.” But she admitted that her eco-friendly technique wouldn't work for all artists. “It produces short-lived pieces, so it's a lot more difficult to be financially sustainable when your art is short-lived, but I guess it's also depending on how you understand life and what you want to do with your practice,” she explained. “Plants have been around for way longer than us on the planet and they have succeeded in doing that without causing any extinction.” 4.What can we know about Romero from the first paragraph? A.She was raised by her grandma. B.She has lived in the countryside for five years. C.She was questioned by audiences. D.She has been fond of plants since childhood. 5.What are Romero's artworks intended for? A.Including like-minded people. B.Showing technological advances. C.Promoting eco-friendly values. D.Limiting the use of digital devices. 6.Which word best describes the process of Romero creating artworks? A.Innovative. B.Stressful. C.Fast-paced. D.Intensive. 7.What does Romero imply about her technique in the last paragraph? A.It has gained popularity among all artists. B.It's subject to artists' view of life and goals. C.It's an effective solution to climate change. D.It makes it easy to be financially sustainable. Ⅱ.七选五(共5小题;每小题2.5分,满分12.5分) At the peak of achievement, Olympians have trained their entire lives to reach their goal of standing on the winner's platform. Not only do Olympic athletes tone their bodies into near perfection, but they sharpen their minds as well. __8__ Researchers have found Olympians share some common habits that you too can use to develop a winner's mindset. View stress as positive. Many successful Olympians view stress as a challenge instead of something they should fear. A previous experiment published looked at how people viewed stress. It found the risk of premature death rose by 43% for people who viewed stress negatively. __9__ Get rid of self-doubt. There is no room for doubt in the minds of Olympic athletes. They have to believe they're capable of performing well or they have already given the competition an opportunity. __10__ That is because only with such confidence can they fully perform the skills they've honed through countless hours of practice and learning from failure. Stay focused on the process. __11__ It's important to identify any triggers(起因) you might face and experience those during practice until they fade into the background. Athletes have to be prepared for distractions such as crowd noise, someone laughing, even a joke told nearby. __12__ Many of the most mentally tough and resilient(有复原力的) athletes have a history of overcoming difficulties in their past. One possible version: Dear__Editors, I am writing to propose a class meeting titled “Music Can Change a Person's Life”. The session will start by playing two contrasting pieces—Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata and Taylor Swift's Love Story—to spark a discussion about the emotions they evoke. Next, students will share personal stories with their chosen background music. Finally, in groups, they will create rhythms using everyday classroom items. The combination of storytelling and hands-on music creation is the key highlight. I am confident this plan will allow everyone to experience the transformative power of music. Looking forward to your early reply. Best__wishes, Li__Hua 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $
