（二）语法：一般过去时（不规则动词）与询问伟人的句型

【句型结构】

询问某人是谁：Who was ...?

询问过去的情况：How was ...?

询问如何实现：How did ... come true?

【重点讲解】

(1) 一般过去时表示过去某个时间发生的动作或存在的状态。

(2) 本课重点不规则动词过去式：

eat → ate 吃        give → gave 给     go → went 去    grow → grew 种植

know → knew 知道  make → made 制作  read → read 读   say → said 说

take → took 拿      teach → taught 教   come → came 来  do → did 做

have → had 有      see → saw 看见    get → got 得到    find → found 找到

(3) be born 表示"出生于"，只用过去式：

例：He was born in 1930 in Beijing.（他1930年出生于北京。）

(4) pass away 表示"去世"，是die的委婉说法：

例：He passed away in 2021 in Changsha.（他2021年在长沙去世。）

(5) come true 表示"实现"，主语是梦想：

例：His dreams came true.（他的梦想实现了。）

（三）谈论伟人

(1) 介绍伟人：... was a great ...

例：Yuan Longping was a great Chinese rice scientist.（袁隆平是一位伟大的中国水稻科学家。）

(2) 描述伟人的出生和去世：... was born in ... / ... passed away in ...

例：Marie Curie was born in 1867. She passed away in 1934.（居里夫人出生于1867年。她去世于1934年。）

(3) 描述伟人的成就：People call him/her ... / He/She developed ...
