In Germany (德国), most children learn how to ride their bikes when they are quite young. But if they want to ride bikes by themselves on the road, they have to pass a test (通过测试). The test is quite like our driving test.
First, the students must learn about how to ride bikes safely on the road.1 Each student has a book and the book tells them how to keep safe on the road, how to keep others safe and what to do if they get hurt. After the classes, the students will have two written tests. Then, they will do some riding practice at school. Some policemen will come to give them more guides.
At last, the students will have a test on the road. Some policemen will grade the students. If they can pass the test, they can get a bike licence (执照). Then they are ready for the road!

“Keep your eyes on your own paper.” is one of the rules that Mrs Archer teaches us. It is a simple rule, but not everybody chooses to follow it.
This morning, I have an experience (经历) with a “rule breaker (违规者)” during an English test. I feel somebody is watching me a little too closely. I turn my head quickly and see James.5 James sits on my right. My eyes catch his and he says quietly, “I hope you studied for this test!” I give him a smile, not sure whether he is joking (开玩笑) or not, and return to my test.
