Object Clauses 宾语从句
语法聚焦(一)宾语从句结构
基本结构
主语 + 谓语动词 + 连接词 + 从句
连接词 + 从句 在句中作宾语,
称为“宾语从句”
常见引导动词:
believe, think, know, find,
wonder, want to know, say, understand
例句
I believe (that) reading is important for learning.
我相信阅读对学习很重要。
I think (that) the best way is to do maths problems.
我认为最好的方法是做数学题。
Peter finds (that) he can connect physics with real life.
彼得发现他能将物理与现实生活联系起来。
I wonder if / whether you could help me.
我想知道你是否能帮我。
语法聚焦(二)连接词 that / if / whether
that
陈述事实或观点,无实际意义,
可省略(口语中常省略)
I believe (that) reading is important.
My parents think (that) they need to be stricter.
Ms Gao understands (that) some students need more time.
注意:that 在宾语从句中不充当成分,只起连接作用。
if / whether
表示“是否”,不能省略
常与 know, wonder, ask, want to know 等动词连用
I wonder if / whether you could help me.
I want to know if / whether you read English books outside class.
Could you tell me if / whether this sentence is correct?
注意:whether 可与 or not 连用,语气更正式。
语法聚焦(三)常用引导动词与句型
believe / think / find / know + (that) 从句:表达相信、认为、发现、知道
例:I think (that) the best way is to do maths problems.
wonder / want to know / ask + if / whether 从句:表达疑问、想知道
例:I wonder if / whether you could help me.
say / understand / hope / remember + (that) 从句:表达说、理解、希望、记得
例:He said that learning had many challenges.
注意:宾语从句要用陈述语序,即“主语 + 谓语”。
