Ⅳ. 阅读理解
阅读下面短文,并用英语回答问题(请注意每小题的词数要求)。
Have you ever thought about what you would eat in space? On Earth, we have farms and supermarkets. But in space, food cannot be grown easily, and fresh food goes bad quickly.
To solve this problem, scientists are developing 3D food printers for space stations. These printers work like normal 3D printers, but instead of plastic, they print food. The food comes in dry powder (粉末) form. When the printer gets the order, it mixes the powder with water and oil, then prints it layer by layer into a shape, like a pizza or a cookie.
The biggest advantage of this technology is that it reduces waste. The powder can be kept for years without going bad. Also, the printer itself is small and light, which saves space on the spaceship. Most importantly, the food can be personalized (个性化定制). If an astronaut wants more protein or vitamins, the printer can change the recipe (食谱) automatically.
Although 3D food printing is still new, it is a big step forward. It might not only change how astronauts eat but also help solve hunger problems on Earth in the future.
21. Why is it hard to eat fresh food in space? (不超过10个词)
