(2026·陕西·中考真题)
This is a true story of a four-legged hero as well as animal friendship and care. Everything took place in Nairobi, Kenya—a country in East Africa.
When she was just a few weeks old, a small elephant sadly lost her mother to a poacher attack (盗猎袭击). Luckily, the little elephant was found by a farmer and taken to an elephant orphanage* where she was named Natumi. There, at the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, Natumi was safe, but very scared and shy. Soon, however, new orphaned baby elephants began to arrive at the shelter. At first, Natumi hid behind her keeper’s legs, but it soon became clear that the other baby elephants needed someone to depend on. They were very young and many of them had injuries (外伤;损伤) like wounds and scratches. To everyone’s surprise, shy little Natumi stepped up to the task. She began to act like a big sister to the seven other elephants, keeping them calm and playing with them in the surrounding bush (周边的荒野). Guided by Natumi, the elephants had soon formed their own loving family. In the end, the new family of elephants was strong and healthy enough to return to the wild—but the workers at the shelter would never forget a little elephant named Natumi who made it possible.

However, the news I came across online touched my heart and changed my mind. A little girl from Jieyang, Guangdong was practicing lion dance when a professional lion dance performance team (专业舞狮表演队) passed by. As soon as they saw the girl practicing, they started to beat drums and gongs for her and quickly she did a lion dance in return. People around all cheered for her. Her love for the ancient Chinese culture evoked my strong memories of paper cutting.

(2026·陕西商洛·三模)In a small village long ago, there was a wise old man named Leo. People in the village respected him because he always gave good advice. One day, a young man named Tom visited Leo and complained about his life. He felt that everything was difficult, and he was often unhappy.
Leo listened to Tom’s problems and invited him to take a walk to a nearby river. When they arrived, Leo gave Tom a handful of salt and asked Tom to put it in the river. Tom did as Leo asked. Then, Leo asked Tom to drink some water from the river. Tom drank, and the water tasted fresh.
Next, Leo handed Tom another handful of salt and asked Tom to put it in a glass of water. Tom did so and then took a sip (小口喝). This time, the water tasted very salty, and he couldn’t drink it.
Leo smiled and said, “The salt is like the difficulties in life. When you put it in a river, it seems small. But when you put it in a glass, it seems large. If you see your problems from a wider view, they will not feel so overwhelming.”
Tom left and felt calmer and grateful for the wise old man’s lesson. He promised himself that he would see his problems in a new way from then on.
1.What did Leo ask Tom to do with the salt first?
A.Put it in a glass of water. B.Put it in the river.
C.Taste it directly. D.Throw it away.
2.What’s the correct order of the events in the passage?
① Leo gave Tom a handful of salt to put in the river. ② Leo and Tom walked to a nearby river.
③ Leo asked Tom to put salt in a glass of water. ④ Tom learned to see his problems differently.
A.②-①-③-④ B.①-②-④-③ C.④-③-②-① D.①-④-③-②
3.The underlined word “overwhelming” in the passage probably means “________”.
A.exciting B.easy C.terrible D.unimportant
4.What is the main idea of the passage?
A.Salt plays an important role in our daily life.
B.Drinking river water is healthier than drinking glass water.
C.Wise people are good at teaching lessons with simple examples.
D.Looking at problems from a wider view makes them less difficult.
【答案】1.B 2.A 3.C 4.D
【导语】本文主要讲述了对生活不满的年轻人Tom向智者Leo求助,Leo通过对比盐放在河水和玻璃杯中味道不同的举例,告诉Tom要用更开阔的视角看待困难的故事。
1.文章第二段“When they arrived, Leo gave Tom a handful of salt and asked Tom to put it in the river.”指出,这是Leo第一次要求Tom处理盐,要求是“把盐放进河里”。
2.第二段首先提到“Leo listened to Tom’s problems and invited him to take a walk to a nearby river”,Leo听完Tom的烦恼,邀请他一起去附近的河边散步,对应事件②;接着第二段提到Leo给Tom盐,让Tom把盐放进河里,对应事件①;第三段提到“Next, Leo handed Tom another handful of salt and asked Tom to put it in a glass of water.”,Leo又递给Tom一把盐,让他把盐放进一杯水里,对应事件③;最后一段提到汤姆“promised himself that he would see his problems in a new way from then on”,Tom向自己承诺从那以后会用新的方式看待自己的问题,对应事件④,因此正确顺序为②-①-③-④。
3.文章第四段提到“The salt is like the difficulties in life. When you put it in a river, it seems small. But when you put it in a glass, it seems large. If you see your problems from a wider view, they will not feel so overwhelming.”,盐就像生活中的困难,放在河里,它就显得微不足道;放在玻璃杯里,它就变得很重。如果你从更广阔的视角看问题,问题就不会那么……,结合前文玻璃杯里的盐咸得无法饮用,可推知overwhelming意为“难以承受的,糟糕的”,选项中terrible符合词义。
4.文章第四段,Leo总结“If you see your problems from a wider view, they will not feel so overwhelming.”,结合汤姆最后的感悟收获,可知本文主旨是“从更广阔的视角看待问题,会让问题变得没那么困难”。
(2026·陕西咸阳·三模)Last summer, I joined a club with many fun activities. One day, we had a jumping game. We had to jump from a high platform while holding a string.
At first, I was too afraid to try it. The platform was seven metres high, and jumping down sounded hard. But my coach encouraged me, “You never know until you try.” I thought for a while and decided to do it. I didn’t want to be known as a timid (胆小的) boy.
When it was my turn, I was still a little nervous. “Remember to bend (弯曲) your knees when I tell you,” my coach said. I held the string as hard as I could and took a deep breath. Then I jumped. It seemed like I was a bird in the air. I felt so excited and happy. I truly enjoyed it. Then I heard my coach shout, “Bend your knees!” I did. After a while, she said, “Now let go (松手)” I let go and landed perfectly. A wave of pride washed over me. I got over my fear, and for the first time, I felt truly brave.
Through this experience, I learned that trying new things may be hard, but we never know until we try. So just challenge yourself!

A.Stay away from high places. B.Always follow the coach’s words.
C.Jumping is a good way to grow. D.Take a chance on new experiences.
【答案】1.A 2.C 3.D
【导语】本文是一篇记叙文,讲述了作者通过一次高空跳跃挑战克服恐惧、获得成长的经历。
1.根据第二段中的“The platform was seven metres high, and jumping down sounded hard.”可知,作者提到七米高是为了说明这个游戏具有难度,这也是作者起初害怕的原因。
2.根据第三段中的“When it was my turn, I was still a little nervous.”可知,起初作者感到紧张;“Then I jumped. It seemed like I was a bird in the air. I felt so excited and happy.”接下来感到兴奋并快乐;“A wave of pride washed over me. I got over my fear, and for the first time, I felt truly brave.”落地后感觉自豪,因此,作者的情感变化为:Nervous→excited→proud。

(2026·陕西咸阳·三模)On a Tuesday morning in Beijing’s Olympic Forest Park, 16 blind runners each tied a short rope to a sighted (视力正常的) guide. Together, they set out to run a half-marathon (半程马拉松). This was the start of a six-day challenge called “Chasing the Light 666”. The event was organized by Tang Min. “They cannot see the world, but we want the world to see them,” he said.

(2026·陕西渭南·三模)Dear Dad,
Today I was at the shopping mall and I spent a lot of time reading the Father’s Day cards. I wanted to buy one for you, but none of the cards could say what I really wanted to say to you. So I wrote the letter.
I haven’t always been with you on Father’s Day. It wasn’t because I didn’t want to be with you. You know, Dad, I was naughty (顽皮的) when I was young. I often made mistakes and you were always angry with me. For a long time, I thought you didn’t love me.
At my birthday parties, you never played games with me or said Happy Birthday. You were just busy setting up tables and helping Mom cook food.
I also remember when Mom asked you to teach me how to ride a bike. I told you to hold the bike, but you refused, and I fell and cried. You just told me to try again instead of helping me.
When I was in middle school, there was a hard time between us. We didn’t see eye to eye. We often argued about hairstyles, clothing, music and many other things.
Time goes by. I am a father now. When my son does the same things as I used to do, I understand you and understand a father’s love. I have realized how much I missed you. Tomorrow will be Father’s Day. I hope it’s never too late to say I love you. Happy Father’s Day!
Love from,
Paul

Once in a pond lived a minnow and a tadpole. They were good friends. One morning the tadpole discovered that he had grown two little legs. “Look,” he said triumphantly. “See, I am a frog!” “Nonsense!” said the minnow. “How can you be a frog? Just last night you were a little fish like me!” They argued until finally the tadpole said with stubborn (固执的) pride, “Frogs are frogs and fish are fish, and that’s that!”
In the following weeks, the tadpole grew tiny front legs and his tail grew smaller. Then one fine day, a real frog climbed out of the water onto the grassy bank. The minnow had also grown into a big fish who often wondered where his friend had gone.
Months later, the frog returned and talked about the colorful world outside—birds, cows, people and so on. He talked until it was dark. But images of the outside world now filled the fish’s mind.
One day, the fish decided to see this world for himself. He jumped out of the water onto the bank. He landed in dry, warm grass and was unable to breathe or move. “Help!” he shouted. Luckily, the frog saw him and pushed him back into the pond.
Still frightened, the fish breathed deeply. Soon, he felt light and free again and could move freely. He understood that his home in the water was the best and most beautiful place. The fish smiled at the frog. “You were right,” he said. “A fish is a fish.”

(2026·陕西西安·三模)Every winter season, I feel a rush of emotions and memories flood back as I look at the old scarf my mother used to wear. It was a simple, woolen scarf, frayed at the edges (边缘) and a bit faded (消褪) in color, but to me, it held a world of meaning.
My mother was a hard-working woman. She would wake up before the crack of dawn to prepare breakfast for the family; then rush off to her job at the local factory. Despite the long hours and tiring work, she always managed to come home with a smile on her face, ready to listen to our stories and help us with our homework. I remember how she would wrap that scarf around her neck on cold mornings, as if it were a shield against the harsh elements.
One Christmas, I decided to save up my pocket money to buy her a new scarf. I spent hours in the store, carefully choosing one that I thought would match her eyes and bring out the warmth in her smile. When I finally presented it to her, her eyes lit up like stars. She immediately put it on and proudly showed it off to my father and siblings, as if it were the most precious gift she had ever received. But even though she had the new scarf, she still kept the old one, saying that it held too many memories to let go. As the years passed, the scarf became a symbol of our bond. Whenever I saw it, I would think of the countless times my mother had comforted me with a hug when I was sad, or cheered me on when I was facing a challenge.
Now, I am a father with two kids. Whenever the winter winds blow, I take out that old scarf and hold it close to my heart. It reminds me of my mother’s love. And I realize that the best gifts in life are not the ones that are bought with money, but the ones that are wrapped in love and memories.

At the playground, we saw two tall, realistic coconut trees. Li Yan, a judge, explained, “The athletes (运动员) have to climb to the top of the trees and hit the timers. The fastest one wins.” According to him, male athletes climb to a height of 9 meters, while female athletes climb to 7 meters. As the competition began, athletes from different teams rushed to the trees and reached the top in just a few seconds, using their hands and feet. Everyone in the crowd cheered them on!

Every time she faced people, her hands shook, her voice went weak, and she forgot all her lines. She always hid in the training room corner, watching her classmates perform, never volunteering to join in.
Her teacher Ms. Wang, who had taught her for two years, noticed this. “Your voice and moves are excellent. The only problem is not your skill, but your fear. The stage is for showing your love, not fear,” she said. But Lin Yue still couldn’t gather enough courage to step on stage, thinking she would never break her fear.
Two months later, the school’s annual (年度) art festival came. Ms. Wang gave her a tiny role: a silent palace maid (宫女), and she only needed to stand on stage for 3 minutes with no lines. “Just stand, feel the stage, and breathe,” she said softly.
On performance day, the show started. Lin Yue’s heart beat fast at first, but the bright lights and soft music helped her relax slowly. She remembered her years of practice and deep love for Peking Opera. When the show ended, she heard warm applause from the students and teachers below. After that, Lin Yue was no longer afraid of the stage. She took on small speaking roles, and finally got the lead role half a year later. She knew the stage was never her enemy, but the place where her love could shine.

Have you ever watched the movie Pegasus 3? It’s a comedy with deeper, more meaningful ideas, and it’s even more exciting and big. The main character is still Zhang Chi.
After winning the Bayanbulak Rally (巴音布鲁克拉力赛), he became a famous person in racing—but the time of cars that use gas was ending, and new cars run by AI and electricity were becoming more common on race tracks.
When the national racing team asked him to be their top team leader for the “Muchen 100” big international race, Zhang Chi said yes. He got back together with his old friends and new young stars. They faced new problems: racing against AI teams and going against unfair rules. During the race, they drove through snow mountains, deserts, and salt lakes, with their cars breaking down many times. But they helped each other, mixing old ways with new tech to get past every problem. In most races, blind runners are often lost in the crowd. This time, Tang wanted them to be the stars. The runners chosen for the event were very strong. Each had completed at least three full marathons in the past two years and run over 1,000 kilometers yearly.
For Shang Lei, running changed his life completely. Before running, most of his friends were also blind. But marathon events introduced him to people from all walks of life. “The race gives me the joy of sports and the experience of being treated equally (平等地),” he said.
Tang Min hopes more blind people will take up running. He believes the biggest problem is not physical ability but a shortage of chances. “Every blind person can run,” he said. “And every blind person should run.”

Love from,

(2026·陕西宝鸡·二模)Lin Yue was a quiet girl who loved Peking Opera deeply. She had practiced basic moves and singing for 3 years, but never dared to perform on stage (舞台).
For the first time, she didn’t rush off the stage—she smiled and bowed gently.

They raced not just for their country, but to show that the heart of racing—love, bravery, and working together—could never be replaced by computer rules. In the end, they didn’t win first place, but they won people’s respect all over the world.
The movie shows that even when things change fast, with ability, courage, and working together, we can still keep going after our dreams.
