关系从句是复合句中修饰名词(有时是代词)的从句,通常紧跟在被修饰的名词或代词之后。
A relative clause is a clause that modifies a noun or sometimes a pronoun in a complex sentence. It is usually placed right after the noun or pronoun it modifies.

关系从句在句中起定语的作用,被关系从句所修饰的词称为先
行词。引导关系从句的词有:关系代词(that、who 和 which 等)和关系副词(when、where 和 why 等 )。关系代词 who 一般指人;which 一般指物;that 可以指人也可以指物。
The relative clause functions as an attributive in the sentence, and the word
being modified by the relative clause is called the antecedent. Relative clauses are introduced by relative pronouns (such as that, who, which, etc.) and relative adverbs (such as when, where, why, etc.). The relative pronoun who is generally used to refer to people, which is used to refer to things, and that can be used to refer to both people and things.
Look at the following examples:

= Give the parcel to the delivery man who/that is waiting at the door.
2. The book is worth reading. I borrowed the book from the library.
= The book which/that I borrowed from the library is worth reading.

在第一组句子中,the delivery man 是先行词,关系从句 who/that is waiting at the door 修饰 the delivery man,意为“在门口等候的快递员”。
who/that 作关系代词,
引导关系从句。
