(一)that 引导陈述句宾语从句
1. 含义:无词义,只起连接作用,从句为完整肯定事实。
2. 常用主句动词 / 形容词:
动词:think, say, know, hope, believe, tell, remember
形容词:sure, glad, happy, afraid, certain
例句
He thinks (that) colours affect moods.
I am glad (that) you like this article.
4. that 可省略:单一句子作宾语时通常省略
5. that 不可省略三种情况
① 并列两个宾语从句,第二个前必须加 that
He said (that) he was busy and that he would come later.
② 作 except 等介词宾语时
I know nothing except that he lives in Nanjing.
③ 从句主语为 that
We all know that is a great movie.
6. 特殊拓展句式
形式宾语 it:主语 + think/find + it + adj. + that 从句
We find it important that we protect wetlands.
被动固定句型:It is said /reported/known that…(据说 / 据报道 / 众所周知)
7. 否定转移(主句主语 I/We,动词 think/believe/suppose)
I don’t think he is right.(我认为他不对,而非 “我不认为他对”)
(二)if /whether 引导一般疑问式宾语从句
含义:是否,主句带有不确定、疑问语气(wonder, doubt, ask, not sure)
1. 通用互换场景(绝大多数情况)
I wonder if/whether he will join us.
2. 只能用 whether,不能用 if 六大场景
① 后面紧跟 or not:whether or not
I don’t know whether or not it will rain.
② 介词后面:depend on whether…
It depends on whether we have free time.
③ 不定式 to do 前:whether to go
She doesn’t know whether to choose blue.
④ 宾语从句放句首表强调
Whether this is true, I can’t tell.
⑤ discuss /decide 等动词后

3. 特例:从句是客观真理、自然现象、常识、名言,永远用一般现在时,不受主句过去时限制
