On that day, many people in Shanghai chose bamboo chopsticks and spoons instead of plastic ones. The restaurants also did their part—they used paper bags or bamboo boxes to pack food. A young man named Li Wei said, “Using bamboo chopsticks feels good. I know I am helping the earth.”
This activity is very important for protecting our environment. Plastic pollution (污染) is a serious (严重的) problem in big cities. Every year, people throw away millions of plastic forks and spoons. They take hundreds of years to break down (分解). They can harm animals and make the water dirty.

Do you ever think about where to put food in your refrigerator? It may sound easy, but putting things in the right places helps keep food fresh and safe to eat.
Not every part of your fridge is the same temperature. Cold air goes down, so the bottom shelves are colder than the top ones. The door shelves get the warmest because they get more air when you open the door. Knowing this helps you decide where different kinds of food should go.
The top shelves are best for ready-to-eat food—things like leftovers (剩饭), cooked meats, and ready meals. Always keep them away from uncooked (未煮过的) items, or bacteria (病菌) may spread to them.
The middle shelves stay cool and do not change temperature. They are perfect for all your dairy (乳制品) items. Keep milk, cheese, butter, and yogurt here.
The bottom shelves have the lowest temperature, for uncooked meat and fish. Keeping them here also means that if any juices leak (漏出), they will not touch other foods below. Always keep them in closed boxes or bags.
Finally, the door shelves are the warmest place. Use them for things that do not go bad quickly, such as sauces, jams, and drinks.
Knowing where and how to store food in your fridge can help keep your food—and you—safe. These rules are simple but very useful.

Hi everyone! I’m Steven from the UK. I travel around the world, looking for our planet’s most beautiful places. That’s why I’m here in Xizang, China.
Right now, I’m standing in front of the world-famous Namtso Lake. It took about four hours to drive here from Lhasa, the capital city of Xizang.
So, what makes Namtso Lake so special? It’s over 4,700 metres above sea level. That makes it the highest saltwater lake in the world. No wonder the name Namtso means “sky lake” in the local language. Up here, I feel like I could reach up and touch the clouds! There’s more to this lake than its height. The lake is a natural wonder. The water is clear and blue. And look at the snowy mountains in the distance! How beautiful! Because this lake is so high in the mountains, it’s a little cold right now, even though it’s summer. The wind can get very strong at this lake too. You can really feel the power of nature here.
Tonight, I’m going to stay at a hotel nearby because I want to watch the sunset over the lake. At sunrise and sunset, the sky and the water turn red and golden. If you ask me, there’s no better time to see the beauty of this amazing lake.

Do you know Plastic-free Takeaway Day (无塑料外卖日)? It first started on March 29th, 2026 in Shanghai. The activity encouraged people to say no to plastic forks, spoons, knives and straws (吸管) when they order food online.
By reducing (减少) the use of plastic, we can make our city cleaner and greener. Many young people supported this activity. A student from a middle school in Shanghai said, “I bring my own chopsticks to school every day. It is a small change, but it helps a lot.”
Shanghai’s “Plastic-free Takeaway Day” is a great example for other cities. If everyone does a little, we can make a big difference for our planet.

28.第一段提到“Mosses grow on everything” ,①正确; 第三段提到“Frogs climb up trees”,③正确; 第三段明确提到“tree kangaroos (树袋鼠) live in trees”,⑤正确;所以正确组合是①③⑤。
29.第四段▲后面说:“They give us healthy food… we can find new medicine…”,这是在讲云雾森林对人类的价值。

1.B 2.A 3.B 4.A 5.C 6.B 7.A 8.C 9.A 10.A
上句说“A boy was very ill.”,男孩病得很重,是客观情况迫使他卧床。

第二段指出:“Equipment is not necessary and it requires very little space or time, so it’s convenient to start.”,说明八段锦不需要器材、空间和时间,因此很容易开始,所以“convenient”意为“方便的”,与“easy”意思最接近。
22.第二段指出八段锦“requires very little space or time”,没有提到对关节或年龄的限制;第三段太极拳指出“people with joint diseases shouldn’t practise Tai Chi”,男孩手腕受伤属于关节问题,不能练太极拳;第四段五禽戏指出“it doesn’t fit little boys or girls”,5岁男孩不适合练五禽戏。
23.第二段指出八段锦“created...over 800 years ago”,第三段指出太极拳“practise...for over 600 years”,第四段指出五禽戏“created...over 1,800 years ago”,因此时间顺序为:五禽戏(1800多年前)→八段锦(800多年前)→太极拳(600多年前),即③①②。
