After James lost his parents, he had to live with his two aunts. They made James work all day and never gave him enough food.
One day, an old man gave James a magic green stone. “It will bring you good luck,” he said. But James fell down and dropped the stone near an old peach tree. The stone touched the earth and was lost.

After James lost his parents, he had to live with his two aunts. They made James work all day and never gave him enough food.
One day, an old man gave James a magic green stone. “It will bring you good luck,” he said. But James fell down and dropped the stone near an old peach tree. The stone touched the earth and was lost.
The next morning, a wonderful thing happened. A huge peach started to grow. It kept growing until it was as large as a house. James noticed a small hole on it and he climbed inside. He walked slowly and saw a soft light. He heard a voice, “Who’s here!” And another one said, “WE ARE WAITING FOR YOU!”
James stopped and looked at the speakers. He was really surprised at what he saw.
One of them looked like a grasshopper (蚱蜢), but it was as large as a dog!
Around a small table sat six huge insects!
“Who... who are you?” James asked in a low voice.
“We are your new friends,” the grasshopper said softly, “We live inside this peach and we are waiting for you all the time.”
“You, you can talk?” he asked.
“Of course. The magic stone made us big, smart and able to speak.”
The ladybug smiled happily, “A great trip is waiting for us, James. You will see soon.”
Then the big peach began to roll. It rolled all the way into the sea.
James and his insect friends stayed safe inside the huge peach, floating on the ocean. Their amazing trip began.
