根据第二段中的“The spring wildflower bloom usually starts in January or February at lower elevations (海拔) and peaks park-wide from April through June.(春季野花通常在1月或2月从低海拔地区开始绽放,整个公园的花期在4月至6月达到顶峰。)” 根据第三段中的“The view is especially charming at dusk when Palm Springs, Indio, and other valley cities sparkle with millions of lights.(这里的景色在黄昏时格外迷人,棕榈泉、印第奥和其他山谷城市会闪烁着数百万盏灯光。)” 故选A项。 根据最后一段“All visitor centers are wheelchair accessible and have accessible parking spaces, information desks, and restrooms. Jumbo Rocks and Indian Cove campgrounds offer accessible campsites and facilities. With paved surfaces, trails at the Oasis of Mara and Keys View are the best for wheelchairs.(所有游客中心都设有无障碍通道、无障碍停车位、信息台和洗手间。巨石营地和印度湾营地提供无障碍露营地和设施。马拉绿洲和Keys View的步道有铺设好的路面,最适合轮椅通行。)”可知,约书亚树国家公园为残障人士提供了便利设施,是残障友好型的。故选B项。 B Linguistics holds a basic premise (前提) at its heart; all languages are equal. Each of the world’s roughly 7,000 languages represents a unique way of seeing and understanding life, a natural experiment in human thought. Judgments of a language’s worth come not from its structure, but from the power and status of its speakers. Yet this profound diversity is collapsing. Currently, about half of all languages have 10,000 or fewer speakers. The median number of speakers per language on every continent is below 1,000. These figures signal acute endangerment. Languages are not a dying natural death; they are being forced out of existence. A few dozen killer languages, like English and Spanish, expand through political, economic, and cultural conquest, while centuries of imperialism, capitalism, and nation-building squeeze out the rest. In settler societies like the US and Canada, half of the indigenous (原住民的) languages are already silent; in homes globally, families abandon mother tongues for dominant languages, losing not just words but gestures and cultural knowledge. Why does this loss matter? Each language holds unique insights into human communication — like the expressive clicks of Khoisan languages or the object-subject-verb order of Warao. More crucially, languages carry poetry, oral histories, environmental wisdom, and lifestyles. Research confirms that mother-tongue education and language maintenance are vital for mental and physical well-being, especially for marginalized (被边缘化的) communities. The organized effort to preserve languages is recent. Inspired by biodiversity and indigenous rights movements, linguists and activists now race to document languages, creating dictionaries and recording oral histories. However, linguists cannot “save” languages alone;that power lies with the communities themselves. Revitalization is a challenging act of hope, often feeling like a “wonderful madness” — an attempt to revive a worldview nearly lost. The fight for linguistic diversity is ultimately a fight alongside its speakers, requiring real support from the majority world that seldom notices this silent crisis. 24. What is the function of the first paragraph? A. To list global language statistics. B. To present a current language crisis. C. To argue against language superiority. D. To compare various language structures. 25. What does the term “killer languages” refer to in the text? A. Those no longer spoken by any community. B. Those passing on through words and gestures. C. Those thriving at the expense of other languages. D. Those simplifying complex sound and grammar rules. 26. Why does language loss matter according to paragraph 3? A. It degrades poetry and oral histories. B. It threatens global environmental safety. C. It damages well-being of all communities. D. It hurts the sustainability of some knowledge. 27. What is the main idea of the passage? A. Linguists are documenting dying languages. B. Language loss results from social and historical forces. C. Native languages are being replaced by dominant ones. D. The collapse of language diversity is causing cultural loss. B 25. C 26. D 27. 根据第一段“Linguistics holds a basic premise (前提) at its heart; all languages are equal. 根据第二段中“A few dozen killer languages, like English and Spanish, expand through political, economic, and cultural conquest, while centuries of imperialism, capitalism, and nation-building squeeze out the rest. (像英语和西班牙语这样的killer languages,通过政治、经济和文化征服不断扩张,而几个世纪以来的帝国主义、资本主义和国家构建排挤了其他语言)”可知,英语和西班牙语等语言通过政治、经济和文化征服而扩张,其他语言则被排挤。由此可知,killer languages指的是那些以牺牲其他语言为代价而蓬勃发展的语言。故选C。 【26题详解】 推理判断题。根据第三段中“More crucially, languages carry poetry, oral histories, environmental wisdom, and lifeways. Research confirms that mother-tongue education and language maintenance are vital for mental and physical well-being, especially for marginalized (被边缘化的) communities.(更重要的是,语言承载着诗歌、口述历史、环境智慧和生活方式。研究证实,母语教育和语言维护对身心健康至关重要,尤其是对边缘化社区)”可知,语言承载着诗歌、口述历史、环境智慧和生活方式。由此推知,语言消失会损害一些知识的延续。故选D。 【27题详解】 主旨大意题。通读全文,特别是第一段“Yet this profound diversity is collapsing. Currently, about half of all languages have 10,000 or fewer speakers. The median number of speakers per language on every continent is below 1,000. These figures signal acute endangerment. (然而,这种深刻的多样性正在逐渐消失。目前,约有一半的语言使用者人数不足10000人。在每个大洲,每种语言的中位数都低于1000人。这些数据表明这些语言正面临严重的濒危状况)”可知,全文围绕语言多样性的崩溃展开,介绍了濒危现状、原因,点明语言消失会造成文化、本土知识的损失,最后呼吁保护。由此可知,文章主要讨论语言多样性的崩塌正在造成文化损失。故选D。 C As the new robot called Sprout walks around a Manhattan office, nodding its rectangular head, lifting its windshield wiper-like “eyebrows” and offering to shake your hand with its grippers (钳子), it looks nothing like the shiny and threatening humanoids built by companies like Tesla. Sprout’s charm is the point. A 5-year-old child could comfortably talk at eye level with this humanoid, which stands 1 meter tall and has a soft exterior of sage-green foam. Forged by Fauna Robotics over two years, Sprout aims to jump-start a whole new industry of building “approachable” robots for homes, schools and social spaces. If its emotive expressions and blinking lights seem slightly familiar, it might be from generations of Star Wars robots and other robotic companions dreamed up in animation studios and children’s literature. “Most people in this industry take inspiration from the science fiction that we grew up with,” said Fauna Robotics co-founder and CEO Rob Cochran. “I think some do so from Westworld and Terminator. We do from WALL-E, Baymax and Rosie Jetson.” Sprout can’t lift heavy objects, but it can dance the Twist or the Floss, grab a toy block or teddy bear, or stand up from a chair to take a long walk along the wood floors. It walks slowly but steadily on uneven ground. Only once it came close to tripping when taking a sharp turn to avoid a person. Its foot hit a table wheel so low that it could not be seen by Sprout’s camera eyes. But the robot, built to handle disturbances, quickly recovered its balance and kept walking, much like a clumsy person might. Starting a robot company can be unforgiving, especially one designing personal robots. What happens next with Sprout will depend on how developers play around with it and what they learn. For Cochran, some of the most important “judges” have already approved. In a home video he keeps on his phone, his 2-year-old twins excitedly jump up and down as Sprout greets them. 28. What can we learn about Sprout in paragraph 1? A. Its heavy weight. B. Its child-friendly appearance. C. Its simple structure. D. Its powerful functionality. 29. What does Cochran try to explain in paragraph 2? A. How AI advances enabled their robot. B. Where the innovation behind Sprout lies. C. What inspired Sprout’s design. D. Why robots often look like movie characters. 30. What does Sprout’s near-tripping incident show? A. Its high-speed movement capability. B. Its disadvantages in keeping balance. C. Its human-like adaptability. D. Its broad visual range. 31. What is Cochran’s attitude to the future of personal robots? A. Conservative. B. Doubtful. C. Uncaring. D. Optimistic. B 29. C 30. C 31. 根据第一段“A 5-year-old child could comfortably talk at eye level with this humanoid, which stands 1 meter tall and has a soft exterior of sage-green foam. (一个五岁孩子可以和这个人形机器人平视轻松交流,它高一米,外表是鼠尾草绿色柔软泡沫材质。)”可知,Sprout有着适合儿童的亲和外形。 【29题详解】 推理判断题。根据第二段““Most people in this industry take inspiration from the science fiction that we grew up with,” said Fauna Robotics co-founder and CEO Rob Cochran. “I think some do so from Westworld and Terminator. We do from WALL-E, Baymax and Rosie Jetson.” (“在这个行业里,大多数人都会从我们成长过程中接触的科幻作品中获取灵感,”福纳机器人公司的联合创始人兼首席执行官罗布·科查恩说道。“我认为有些人会从《西部世界》和《终结者》中获取灵感。而我们则会从《机器人总动员》、《大白》和《杰森一家》中获取灵感。)”可知,Cochran在解释Sprout的设计灵感来源。 【30题详解】 细节理解题。根据第三段“But the robot, built to handle disturbances, quickly recovered its balance and kept walking, much like a clumsy person might. (这款机器人专为应对突发状况设计,能快速恢复平衡继续行走,像笨拙的人一样。)”可知,险些绊倒的事例体现它具备类人的适应调节能力。 【31题详解】 推理判断题。根据最后一段“In a home video he keeps on his phone, his 2-year-old twins excitedly jump up and down as Sprout greets them. (他手机里的家庭视频中,两岁双胞胎见到Sprout打招呼时兴奋蹦跳。)”可看出Cochran对个人机器人的未来持乐观态度。 D Roadkill isn’t the most pleasant of subjects. As much as people try to avoid it and not contribute to it, the untimely animal deaths are an unfortunate, unavoidable byproduct of a society reliant on cars. In Brazil alone, it’s estimated that two to eight million birds and mammals are killed on roadways every year. In Europe, the potential tally may climb as high as 194 million. While viral headlines occasionally highlight different kinds of roadkill, the dead creatures actually have many other benefits. A team of biologists investigated what happens when scientists frequently use these dead creatures in their own work. According to their findings, roadkill is being used for a wide range of research — but the possibilities are even greater and more sustainable than most people realize. “Because the animals are already dead, researchers can often avoid live capture and handling, aligning (一致) perfectly with global animal-ethics principles that encourage replacing invasive methods wherever possible,” biologist Christa Beckmann explained. Along with colleagues from Western Sydney University, Deakin University, and Trent University, Beckmann evaluated 312 peer-reviewed studies from 67 countries around the world that focused on goals “other than counting or reducing roadkill”. They recorded at least 650 species — mostly mammals, followed by reptiles, birds, amphibians, and invertebrates. In total, the team identified around 117 different scientific uses for roadkill in various scientific projects. “We found examples of successfully using roadkill to map species distributions, monitor disease and environmental pollution, study diets, track invasive species, and supply museum collections, Beckmann said. In some instances, she added that roadkill also helped identify local populations previously believed extinct and even included species “previously unknown to science”. Beckmann knows the roadkill isn’t appropriate for all research projects and comes with its own biosafety considerations, but still believes there are far more uses waiting to be explored. “While roadkill will always be tragic, using these losses wisely could help drive scientific discovery and conservation forward, rather than letting valuable information decompose by the roadside,” she said. 32. What does the first paragraph primarily emphasize? A. The need for safer transportation. B. The severity of the roadkill issue. C. The impact of roadkill animals. D. The causes of different car accidents. 33. Why does Beckmann advocate using roadkill in research? A. It helps avoid harming live animals. B. It minimizes the research expenses. C. It provides fresh biological samples. D. It yields more accurate research results. 34. What do the numbers in paragraph 4 imply? A. The complexity of research methods. B. The development of international cooperation. C. The declining health of global ecosystem. D. The roadkill’s global scientific significance. 35. What is the best title for the text? A. Roadkill — A Possible Alternative in Scientific Research. B. Cars — The Main Threat to Animals. C. The Moral Concerns Are Rising from Roadkill. D. Effective Methods of Preventing Roadkill Are in Need. 【答案】32. B 33. A 34. D 35. A 【解析】 【导语】本文介绍公路车祸致死动物并非毫无价值,可作为科研材料,有广泛且待开发的科学用途。 【32题详解】 主旨大意题。根据第一段“Roadkill isn’t the most pleasant of subjects. As much as people try to avoid it and not contribute to it, the untimely animal deaths are an unfortunate, unavoidable byproduct of a society reliant on cars. In Brazil alone, it’s estimated that two to eight million birds and mammals are killed on roadways every year. In Europe, the potential tally may climb as high as 194 million.( 车祸致死动物并不是一个让人愉快的话题。 根据第三段““Because the animals are already dead, researchers can often avoid live capture and handling, aligning (一致) perfectly with global animal-ethics principles that encourage replacing invasive methods wherever possible,” biologist Christa Beckmann explained.( 生物学家克里斯塔・贝克曼解释道:“因为这些动物本就已经死亡,研究人员往往可以避开活体捕捉与处置,这完全契合全球动物伦理准则——准则倡导尽可能取代侵入性的活体研究方式。”)”可知,Beckman提倡科研使用公路致死动物是因为这有助于避免伤害活体动物。 【34题详解】 推理判断题。根据第四段“Along with colleagues from Western Sydney University, Deakin University, and Trent University, Beckmann evaluated 312 peer-reviewed studies from 67 countries around the world that focused on goals “other than counting or reducing roadkill”. They recorded at least 650 species — mostly mammals, followed by reptiles, birds, amphibians, and invertebrates. In total, the team identified around 117 different scientific uses for roadkill in various scientific projects.(贝克曼与来自西悉尼大学、迪肯大学、特伦特大学的同事一起,评估了全球67个国家的312项同行评审研究,这些研究的目标并非统计或减少公路动物死亡数量。他们记录到至少650个物种,以哺乳动物居多,其次是爬行动物、鸟类、两栖动物和无脊椎动物。研究团队总计发现,公路致死动物在各类科研项目中有约117种不同的科学用途。)”可知,来自全球67国的312项研究、650个物种、117种科研用途这些数据,体现公路致死动物在全球范围都有很高的科研价值。 【35题详解】 主旨大意题。根据第二段“While viral headlines occasionally highlight different kinds of roadkill, the dead creatures actually have many other benefits. A team of biologists investigated what happens when scientists frequently use these dead creatures in their own work. According to their findings, roadkill is being used for a wide range of research — but the possibilities are even greater and more sustainable than most people realize.(虽然网络热搜新闻偶尔会报道各类公路动物遇难事件,但这些死去的动物其实还有诸多其他价值。 First Aid for Emotional Outbursts: How to Hit the Brakes Emotional outbursts can happen suddenly — that flash of anger, overwhelming anxiety or sadness. These feelings come without warning. ____36____ Your emotions take control; your mind shuts down, and you feel consumed by tunnel vision. Here’s a four-step plan to manage these intense feelings and regain control. Realize your emotions have taken over. Once your brain’s emotional center fires up, your rational (理智的) mind goes offline. Your brain drifts into past experiences fueling your mood, making it stronger. ____37____ They circle back, strengthening your feelings and making escape harder. The first step is recognizing this cycle: your rational mind is offline, and racing thoughts worsen the situation. ____38____ As soon as you notice this emotional cycle, take action to stop it. Simply name your feelings and pattern: I’m upset; my emotional brain has taken over; I’m stuck in that negative circle. This small act creates a gap between you and your emotions. Calm yourself. Have pre-planned calming skills ready: deep breathing, mindful cooking, or distraction like watching a favorite show. ____39____ They work by grounding you in the present, pulling you from negative memories and worst cases. Experts advise listing these methods visibly for easy access. Once calm, circle back. Reflect: What triggered (触发) me? A partner’s critical tone, sudden work change, or small disappointment? ____40____ Or is it an ongoing emotional pattern? Finally, take targeted action to solve it. The key to handling emotional outbursts is balancing regulation and problem-solving. Master these steps, and you’ll hit the brakes on intense emotions before they take over. A. Stop feeling bad. B. Label what’s going on. C. Reflect why it has influenced your mood. D. Next, judge if it’s a real solvable problem. E. They hit fast, intense feelings hard to process. F. Memories turn into negative thoughts quickly. G. These techniques need no special skills and are easy to use. 【答案】36. E 37. F 38. B 39. G 40. D 【解析】 【导语】本文是一篇说明文。主要介绍应对情绪突然爆发的四个步骤,帮助人们及时控制强烈情绪、恢复理性。 【36题详解】 上文“Emotional outbursts can happen suddenly — that flash of anger, overwhelming anxiety or sadness. These feelings come without warning.(情绪爆发可能会突然发生——愤怒的闪现、压倒性的焦虑或悲伤。这些感觉毫无预兆地出现。)”描述了情绪爆发的突然性和强烈性,E项“它们来势汹汹,强烈的情绪难以处理。”承接上文,进一步说明了这些情绪的强烈和难以处理,符合语境。故选E项。 【37题详解】 上文“Your brain drifts into past experiences fueling your mood, making it stronger.(你的大脑会陷入过去的经历中,从而加剧你的情绪,使其更加强烈。)”说明大脑会陷入过去的经历,F项“记忆很快会变成消极的想法。”承接上文,说明记忆会很快变成消极的想法,与后文“They circle back, strengthening your feelings and making escape harder.(它们会循环回来,增强你的感觉,让你更难逃脱。)”呼应,且后文中的“They”指代F项中“negative thoughts”,说明消极的想法会循环回来,增强你的感觉,符合语境。故选F项。 【38题详解】 根据后文“As soon as you notice this emotional cycle, take action to stop it. Simply name your feelings and pattern: I’m upset; my emotional brain has taken over; I’m stuck in that negative circle. This small act creates a gap between you and your emotions.(一旦你注意到这个情绪循环,就采取行动阻止它。只需说出你的感受和模式:我很沮丧;我的情绪大脑占据了主导;我陷入了那个消极的循环。这个小小的举动会在你和你的情绪之间制造一个隔阂。)”可知,本段主要介绍了要说出自己的感受和模式,给自己的情绪贴上标签,B项“给正在发生的事情贴上标签。”符合语境,适合作为本段小标题。故选B项。 【39题详解】 上文“Have pre-planned calming skills ready: deep breathing, mindful cooking, or distraction like watching a favorite show.(提前准备好冷静的技巧:深呼吸、专注烹饪,或者像看喜欢的节目这样的分散注意力的活动。)”介绍了一些冷静的技巧,G项“这些技巧不需要特殊技能,易于使用。”承接上文,说明这些技巧的特点,符合语境。故选G项。 【40题详解】 上文“Reflect: What triggered (触发) me? A partner’s critical tone, sudden work change, or small disappointment?(反思:是什么触发了我?伴侣批评的语气、突然的工作变动,还是小小的失望?)” 提出反思触发点,后文“Or is it an ongoing emotional pattern?(又或者这是一个持续的情绪模式?)”用“Or”构成并列疑问,D选项“接下来,判断这是不是一个真正可以解决的问题。”承接上文,与后文语义并列、逻辑连贯,符合语境。故选D项。 第三部分 语言运用(共两节,满分30分) 第一节 (共15小题;每小题1分,满分15分) 阅读下面短文,从每题所给的A、B、C、D四个选项中选出最佳选项。 Once upon a time, much of the world was populated by wolves. They ___41___ all over the United States and Canada, Siberia and much of mainland Europe, as well as Great Britain, and if humans hadn’t come along, they would still be there in great numbers. But man did come along, farmed the land, ___42___ the wolves killing their livestock (家畜) and so gradually drove them out of the homes that had once been theirs. Wolves are not ___43___ in our language and literature, however. In fairy stories, they are seen as evil and dangerous, always ___44___ to eat people. Remember the time when Little Red Riding Hood thinks that a wolf is her grandmother? If you really want to see how English-speaking humans think of the wolf, just look at the ___45___! “A wolf in sheep’s clothing” is not a pleasant person and a “wolf-whistle” is not a pleasant sound! Yet wolves are totally unlike the image we have of them from legend and language. For a start, they don’t ___46___ humans; indeed, they do their best to keep out of our way. They are very sociable animals, living in packs and looking after their young, which should make some humans ___47___ themselves. Instead of being ___48___, the howl of the wolf — the cry of the whole pack — as the full moon rises in a star-bright sky, is one of the most beautiful sounds in nature. They are beautiful creatures which can run at speeds of up to 65 kph if they have to. And when they do ___49___ , their 42 large teeth are fearlessly effective. But the ___50___ remains that we love the lion, the king of the jungle, while we demonize (妖魔化) the wolf, one of the most beautiful animals in the world. Only ___51___ do writers treat them nicely; for example, a she-wolf is supposed to have fed the twins Remus and Romulus, who went on to ___52___ the city of Rome. And so, while man kills animals in their millions, often just for the fun of it, the wolf represents a state of natural ___53___ that we do not know and can never obtain, even though we ___54___ it in our hearts. Perhaps that’s why, in the end, we ___55___ the wolf so much — for having something we can never get our hands on. 41. A. ruled B. migrated C. concentrated D. ranged 42. Damson, her brown pony (小马) , stood lazily swishing his tail under a tree. Tess and her family moved in their new cottage a week ago. The fields belonged to an older lady called Mrs. Radley, who kept two small ponies. Mrs. Radley had been too happy to have Damson join the herd. ‌“It’s perfect here, isn’t it, Damson?” Tess whispered to her pony, smiling, ‌“I have you by my side and maybe I can make some new friends.” Tess’s hopes were quickly dashed. On her first day at her new school, the other children didn’t seem very interested in her. At lunch, she overheard some girls talking about their ponies and found the courage to join them. ‌“I’ve got a pony, too,” Tess said brightly, her heart racing. ‌“His name is Damson. He’s just across the lane from my house.” The girls turned to look at her. And then they went back to their conversation, as if she hadn’t spoken at all. By the end of the day, feeling more alone than ever, Tess went straight to the yard. Damson’s ears pricked (竖起) forward as she approached, and he gave a soft nicker of greeting. ‌“At least you’re happy to see me,” she smiled for the first time all day, touching his smooth and soft nose. She grabbed a brush and began grooming him, letting her thoughts spill out like water from a tap. ‌“School was awful today, Damson. The kids don’t like me. What if I never make any new friends?” Damson twitched (抽动) his ears as if he were listening, and Tess felt a tiny bit better just saying the words out loud. In the following week, Tess spent her days sitting in the corner of the classroom, alone on the bus, or in the library, and spent her afternoons sobbing beside Damson as she unburdened her worries about fitting in. 注意: 1. 续写词数应为150个左右; 2. 请按如下格式在答题纸的相应位置作答。 On Friday evening, as Tess sat on her bed staring out at the darkening fields, her mum walked in. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The following Saturday, Tess rode Damson to the Pony Club where training courses took place. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】One possible version: On Friday evening, as Tess sat on her bed staring out at the darkening fields, her mum walked in. ‌“Tess?” she began, ‌“I bumped into Mrs. Radley this evening and she said you’ve been talking to Damson about the awful school life.” Tess’s face burned with embarrassment. She wondered how Mrs. Radley had overheard her talking to Damson. Pulling her into a hug, Mum comforted her and put forward a good idea. ‌“What if we found a way for you to meet other horsey kids? There’s a local Pony Club that Mrs. Radley mentioned. They run regular training and events. Maybe you can find some happiness there.” The following Saturday, Tess rode Damson to the Pony Club where training courses took place. The yard buzzed with excitement as children on ponies of all shapes and sizes gathered in the area. Tess felt nervous at first, but the instructor welcomed her warmly. As the lesson began, Tess quickly realized she wasn’t alone. One of the girls from her school, Ruby, was riding a grey pony. During the training, they became more familiar with each other. By the end of the lesson, Tess was laughing along with Ruby and other girls as they cooled off their ponies. For the first time since moving, she felt a sense of belonging. 词汇激活: 行为类 ①偶然遇见:bump into/run into ②提出:put forward/come up with ③聚集:gather/assemble 情绪类 ①尴尬:embarrassment/awkwardness ②紧张:nervous/anxious 【点睛】[高分句型1] Pulling her into a hug, Mum comforted her and put forward a good idea.(运用了现在分词作伴随状语) [高分句型2] The yard buzzed with excitement as children on ponies of all shapes and sizes gathered in the area.(运用了从属连词as引导时间状语从句) [高分句型3] By the end of the lesson, Tess was laughing along with Ruby and other girls as they cooled off their ponies.(运用了从属连词as引导时间状语从句) 第1页/共1页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $ 2025-2026学年高三上学期阶段性考试(一) 英语试卷 本试卷共12页,67小题,满分150分。 Why is Matt leaving the company? C As the new robot called Sprout walks around a Manhattan office, nodding its rectangular head, lifting its windshield wiper-like “eyebrows” and offering to shake your hand with its grippers (钳子), it looks nothing like the shiny and threatening humanoids built by companies like Tesla. B. Doubtful. C. Uncaring. D. Optimistic. D Roadkill isn’t the most pleasant of subjects. 第二节 (共5小题;每小题2. 5分,满分12. 5分) 阅读下面短文,从短文后的选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。 First Aid for Emotional Outbursts: How to Hit the Brakes Emotional outbursts can happen suddenly — that flash of anger, overwhelming anxiety or sadness. 第三部分 语言运用(共两节,满分30分) 第一节 (共15小题;每小题1分,满分15分) 阅读下面短文,从每题所给的A、B、C、D四个选项中选出最佳选项。 Once upon a time, much of the world was populated by wolves. 41. A. ruled B. migrated C. concentrated D. ranged 42. A. set aside B. approved of C. objected to D. worked out 43. A. killers B. victims C. characters D. criminals 44. A. reluctant B. ready C. unlikely D. sure 45. Often ___56___ (perceive) as a negative emotion, anger can actually be powerful ___57___ (motivate) for people to meet challenging targets in their lives. It is useful in achieving more challenging goals, ___58___ does not appear to be linked to easier tasks. The finding also suggests emotions that are often considered negative, such as anger, boredom,or sadness, can be useful. Lead author Heather Lench, a professor at Texas A and M University, USA, stated that people often believed a state of happiness was___59___ ideal, and the majority of people regarded the pursuit of happiness as a major life goal.” The view that positive emotions are perfect for mental health and well being ___60___ (be) noticeable in psychological accounts of emotion, but many researches suggest a mix of emotions, including negative emotions like anger, result in ___61___ (good) outcomes.” She added that the functionalist theory of emotion suggests that all emotions, good or bad, are reactions ___62___ events within a person’s environment and serve the purpose of alerting that person to important situations that require actions. In the study researchers conducted experiments___63___ (involve) more than 1,000 people, and analyzed survey data from more than 1,400 respondents. The researchers found that anger increased effort towards attaining a desired goal, ___64___ (frequent) leading to greater success and the effects of anger in encouraging people to reach for and achieve their goals were specific to situations ____65____ the goals were more difficult to realize. 第四部分 写作(共两节,满分40分) 第一节 (满分15分) 66. 假定你是李华,上周末你校组织学生开展“走进社区,践行劳动”社会实践活动。请你为校报英语栏目写一篇报道,内容包括: 1. 活动内容; 2. 你的感受。 注意: 1. 写作词数应为80左右; 2. 请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。 A Meaningful Social Labor Practice ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 第二节 (满分25分) 67. 阅读下面材料, 根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段, 使之构成一篇完整的短文。 Tess swung her legs off the edge of her bed and gazed out of the window, her eyes lighting up at the sight across the lane. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 第1页/共1页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $听力考试正式开始。听下面对话。每段对话后有一个小题,从题中所给的ABC3个选项中选出最佳选项。听完每段对话后,你都有10秒钟的时间来回答有关小题和阅读下一小题,每段对话读两遍。Joyce, have you heard that matters?
