Host: So having a positive attitude really matters, ______4______(写出反问疑问句)?
Dr. Thompson: Absolutely. It helps them face challenges bravely and enjoy their teenage years more.
Host: At the end of today's interview, please give one final piece of advice to our young listeners. ______5______ ?(就方式方法提问:我们应该如何建立自信心呢?)

___5___ I want to be more confident, but I always think I will fail before I even try. I'm afraid of making mistakes in front of others.
A. You could set small daily goals. For example, finish your homework before dinner. Every time you complete a task, give yourself a small reward like a piece of fruit or 10 minutes of music. This will help you build confidence step by step.
B. You could try deep breathing exercises. Breathe in slowly for 4 seconds, hold for 4 seconds, and breathe out for 4 seconds. Do this 5 times before the exam. Also, remember that one exam does not define who you are.
C. You could have an honest conversation with your parents. Tell them how their words make you feel. Explain that everyone has different strengths. You are not your cousin — you are yourself, and that is enough.
D. You could create a schedule and prioritise your tasks. Do the most difficult homework first when your mind is fresh. Take a 5-minute break every 30 minutes. Remember, it's okay to ask for help when you need it.
E. You could remember that true friends value who you are, not what you own. Talk to your parents about a reasonable budget for clothes. You could also try swapping clothes with friends — it's fun and free!

A new study from the University of California shows that teenagers who spend more than three hours a day on social media are more likely to have mental health problems. The research followed 6,500 teenagers aged 12 to 15 for two years. The results showed that those who used social media heavily had higher levels of stress, anxiety, and loneliness.
Dr. Sarah Johnson, the lead researcher, said, "Social media can make teenagers feel pressure to look perfect. They see their peers posting beautiful photos and happy moments, which makes them feel inadequate. They forget that people usually only show the best parts of their lives online."
The study also found that teenagers who used social media for more than five hours a day were twice as likely to report emotional problems. However, the researchers noted that not all social media use is bad. Using social media to stay in touch with close friends and family can actually be helpful.
Dr. Johnson gave some advice to parents: "Set limits on screen time. Encourage your children to do more offline activities. Most importantly, talk to them about what they see online. Help them understand that online life is not always real."
The findings have been published in the Journal of Adolescent Health. Many schools in the US have started using the research to design new programmes about digital well-being.

范文:
Dear Lucy,
How's everything going? I'd like to share something about my teenage life with you.
Being a teenager is both exciting and challenging. I feel more independent now, but sometimes I also feel stressed about my studies and appearance. One challenge I'm facing is peer pressure. My friends all seem to have the latest phones, and I sometimes feel left out. However, I've learned to deal with it by talking to my parents and focusing on what truly matters.
Through these experiences, I've learned that true friends accept you for who you are, not what you have. I've also realised that it's okay to be different. Everyone has their own journey.
What about you? Looking forward to your reply!
Yours,
Li Ming
