【20题详解】
句意:实践帮助我们发现弱点并提高我们的技能。
根据前文“We can never master skills”以及“turn knowledge into our own ability”,可知实践是为了提高技能。skills为“技能”,贴合文章实践提升实操能力的核心主旨。tricks含贬义指“小手段”,hobbies“爱好”、feelings“情绪”,都不是练习能够提升的内容。

On May 19, 2026, Google showed its new AI smart glasses at the Google I/O meeting in California. The company plans to sell the first “audio glasses” later this year. Google worked with Samsung and two glasses brands to make them look light and comfortable.
What can the glasses do? They can answer questions about things around the user. For example, when a person sees an unusual cloud, Gemini may tell its name. The glasses can also give directions while the user is walking. People may make calls, send messages, listen to music, take photos and videos, or hear translations (翻译) of words on signs and menus. This means users do not always need to take out their phones.
Google says there will be two kinds of smart glasses. Audio glasses give spoken help through the speakers. The other kind will have a small display (显示屏) in the lenses, so users can see information such as walking directions. The display glasses will come later.
However, some people are worried about privacy (隐私). Because the glasses have a camera, other people may not know when they are being photographed. Google faced similar questions when it introduced Google Glass more than ten years ago. The new glasses may be more helpful and better-looking, but clear rules are still important. At the same time, users should remember to respect the people around them.
27. How can users start talking with Gemini through the glasses?
A. By opening a book. B. By shaking their phones.
C. By touching the glasses. D. By looking at the sky.
28. Which of the following is NOT mentioned as something AI glasses can do?
A. Giving walking directions. B. Taking photos and videos.
C. Translating words on signs. D. Cooking meals for users.
29. Why are some people worried about the new glasses?
A. The glasses may be too heavy to wear.
B. Their cameras may cause privacy problems.
C. They cannot connect to mobile phones.
D. Their speakers may not play music.
30. Which would be the best title for this article?
A. Google’s New AI Glasses B. How to Use a Mobile Phone
C. A Visit to Google’s Factory D. The History of Cameras

Charlie stood outside the great chocolate factory with Grandpa Joe. In his pocket was the Golden Ticket. He had read every word on it many times, but he still could not believe that he was one of the five lucky children. When the clock struck ten, the gates opened and Mr Wonka appeared in a purple coat and a tall hat.
“Welcome!” he cried. “Stay close, follow the rules, and do not touch anything before I say so.”
The visitors followed him through a long, warm passage. The air smelled of sugar and fresh bread. Charlie walked slowly because Grandpa Joe was tired. Veruca Salt kept asking about her prize, while Augustus Gloop looked around for something to eat.
At last, Mr Wonka opened a small round door. Behind it was a wonderful valley under a glass roof. The grass was made of mint, colourful sweets grew like flowers, and a warm chocolate river ran through the valley. A great waterfall poured chocolate into a shining pool.
“Everything here can be eaten,” said Mr Wonka, “but please be careful.”
The children ran forward. Charlie picked one piece of mint grass and broke it in half for Grandpa Joe. Augustus, however, pushed past the others and hurried to the river.
“Do not drink from it!” shouted Mr Wonka.
Augustus did not listen. He knelt beside the river and drank the chocolate with both hands. Suddenly, his feet slipped and he fell into the water. Mrs Gloop screamed. Charlie quickly picked up a long candy cane and held it out.
“Take this!” Charlie called.
Before Augustus could reach it, the current (水流) carried Augustus towards a glass pipe. A moment later, the pipe pulled him upwards.
Mr Wonka sent two workers to show Mrs Gloop the way to Augustus. Then he turned to the other children. “The factory is full of wonders,” he said more quietly, “but wonders do not make rules disappear.”
Charlie looked at the river. He was still excited, but now he understood that the most important thing in the factory was not how much you could eat. It was whether you could stay kind and sensible (明智的) when everything around you seemed impossible to resist (抗拒).

53. 正在这时,我们看到一只小狗从我们身边经过,于是我们跟着它跑。
Just then, we saw a little dog ____________________ us, so we ran after it.
【答案】
passing by
【解析】

54. 最后,小狗带我们找到了正确的路,我们为自己解决了这个问题而感到自豪。
In the end, the dog showed us the right way, and we ____________________ ourselves for solving the problem.
【答案】
