1-5 BCCAB 6-10 ACCAB 11-15.CAACC 16-20 BCBBA
The goal of this course is for you to acquire the basic skills of ski touring and be prepared to take part in an easy guided ski tour.acquire the basic skills of ski touring(掌握越野滑雪的基础技能)→ equip learners with basic touring skills(使学习者具备基础的越野滑雪技能)
22. B
Group Course
CHF 215 = CHF 1,075
方案二:报 Private Course(4–6人档)
CHF 235 = CHF 1,175
CHF 1,075(Group Course)< CHF 1,175(Private Course)
23. C
【解析】:根据 General Information 部分最后一句“If we have to call off your tour, you have the option to reschedule to a new date, or you will receive a full refund (退款).”
She went over and sat down on the top of the closed lid. But the hot jar immediately collapsed into a thousand shards of glass.
Heidi
25.A
…he returned with a clean rubber surgical glove, blew it up like a balloon, and drew a chicken face on it.
26.A
Heidi looked at me, surprised, and said, “That’s not what happened at all.” Her memory was much more pleasant…
27.C
She somehow had the ability to sort out and sift down the unpleasant elements and only remember the good parts… the ability to filter out the negative things in our lives is a good thing.
28.A
29 B
【解析】:词义猜测,下文线索:"make foolish mistakes and struggle to complete tasks that are easy for them on cooler days" → 说明思维混乱/困惑。A(敏锐的)相反;C(慢的)片面;D(虚弱的)不准确。
30 D
“During heat waves, the birds needed twice as many trials to learn that the mealworm was always hidden under the lid of the same shade.”
33. B
【解析】:第三段明确提到:“many of these approaches come with a big drawback: competition for land and other resources. This shortage has led scientists to turn to... the ocean.”
37. A
故选A。
39. C
read each other's minds letters(信件)、stories(故事)、faces(脸)都不符合“亲密关系”的语境。
found ways(找到方式)、lost ways(迷路)、took ways(走某条路)均不是表示关系破裂的正确表达。
forgotten(忘记)、helped(帮助)、ignored(忽视)都与“修复关系”的意图不符。
wondering(想知道)侧重自己心里想,不是明确提出请求;doubting(怀疑)和 confirming(确认)与“提出邀约”不符。
hoped(希望)与后面“她没同样感觉”矛盾;promised(承诺)、remembered(记得)均不符合。
attempted(尝试)表示不一定成功,offered(主动提出)和 refused(拒绝)都与“约好了午餐”矛盾。
early(早)、hard(困难)、slow(慢)均不符合“等了很久没消息”的语境。
taken off(起飞/脱掉)、given in(屈服)、turned over(翻转)均不符合“赴约”的语境。
warning(警告)、explanation(解释)、complaint(抱怨)都与拥抱的友善行为矛盾。
text(短信)、lunch(午餐)、friendship(友谊)都不是她们“不提及”的内容。
bright(明亮的)与打烊时间矛盾;cold(冷的)和 rainy(下雨的)文中没有提及。
take the risk 是常见搭配。take a turn(转弯/转变)、take a seat(坐下)、take advice(接受建议)都不符合“主动尝试和好”的语境。
spent 的主语必须是“人”(sb. spent time),不能是 it;wasted(浪费)和 used(使用)搭配不当。
56.that / which
57.elegantly
58.into
59.were discovered
60.made
61.earliest
62.purposes
63.an
64.matches
65. and
【解析】:空格前后是两个并列的谓语动词:has survived for thousands of years(存续了数千年)与 remains rooted in Chinese cultural tradition(扎根于中国文化传统)。

66.One possible version
Dear Daniel,
I’m writing to share with you an unforgettable rural social practice activity I attended last weekend.
We arrived at the nearby village at 8 o’clock. There were diverse tasks, among which I picked tomato seedling transplanting(among which 引导非限制性定语从句). But it was no easy job. I found myself clumsy and overwhelmed in each of the procedures, either digging pits or connecting pipes to water them(现在分词短语作伴随状语). Besides, as we labored in the glaring sun, my back ached with sunburns. Happily, with the patient guidance of the friendly farmers, I successfully transplanted many tomato seedlings.
This activity taught me a lesson no textbook can offer! Labor is not just physical work but a bridge to understanding the value of hard work, I now truly appreciate the food on our plates and respect the farmers’ dedication. So much have I learnt that I can’t wait to tell you about it. (so … that 引导结果状语从句) Do you have similar activities?
Looking forward to your reply.
Yours,
Li Hua
Paragraph 1:
Just then, the guy on the bike stopped my car and tapped on my window. My heart pounded wildly. I froze, unsure whether to roll down the window or just ignore him. But he didn't look angry—instead, he held up something familiar and pointed at it. I squinted through the glass and realized it was a wallet. He gestured again, this time more gently, as if to say "it's okay." I cautiously cracked the window open an inch. "You dropped this," he said in a calm voice. "It fell out when you helped my grandma, Ida, get out of the car." His eyes were kind, not threatening at all. I let out a long breath I didn’t know I had been holding. He handed the wallet through the gap. I took it, stammering a thank-you.
Paragraph 2:
Suddenly, I noticed a purse out of the corner of my eye—but it wasn’t mine.It was sitting on the passenger seat, old and worn. I picked it up and opened it. Inside was an ID card with a familiar name — Ida. She must have left it in my car by accident. Suddenly, everything clicked. The young biker wasn't following me to harm me; he was chasing me to return my wallet, and I now had his grandmother's purse. I looked back, but he was already driving away. I smiled to myself, feeling both embarrassed and touched. That night, I realized how easily we misjudge people based on appearances. Ida's warmth and her grandson's kindness reminded me that trust and compassion are worth holding onto — even on the "wrong side of town."

M: Most likely. The fish in the colder water are not as orange as the fish in the warmer water.
W: I agree. I know it’s hard to keep the water exactly the right temperature in this lab, but you can see the difference in the fish.
M: Yeah, we’ve had some differences in the water temperature, especially at night.
W: I think we should write our lab report as soon as possible.
M: I’m afraid I don’t agree. Maybe we’ll get clearer results if we give the experiment more time.
W: OK. I see your point. Are these the notes you took yesterday?
M: Yep.

M: Go right ahead.

(Text 10)
W: Well, we certainly have a busy day ahead of us, so let’s get started, shall we? Let’s have a look at the map of the museum now.
The door on the right of the entrance hall leads into the gift shop and ticket center. Once we pick up our entrance tickets, I’d ask everyone to put their bags and coats in the storage area.
Now, once you come back into the entrance hall, the door on the opposite side to the gift shop leads into the art gallery. There is a special exhibition there at the moment. If you continue on up the entrance hallway that leads into the main exhibition center, on the back left-hand side, there are some toilets. Beside the toilets, you’ll find the 3D theater. I strongly recommend that you make time for the 30-minute presentation in the theater.
Running along the right-hand side of the main exhibition center is the Modern Art Studio. Here, not only can you view some of the most famous works of the 20th century, but you can also attend a workshop run by a local artist. OK, that’s the art museum.

(原创)My daughter Heidi ran around the backyard in the summer sunshine. She spied the large glass jar containing sun tea. She went over and sat down on the top of the closed lid. But the hot jar immediately collapsed into a thousand pieces of glass. Heidi screamed as she hit the floor. She stood up and displayed a small but deep cut on the back of her leg. Blood poured out of the cut.
We rushed to the emergency room. After a long wait, Dr. Anderson came in. Calm and friendly, he put her at ease, and she seemed to hardly notice when he gave her a shot and sewed her up. After bandaging her leg, he returned with a clean rubber surgical glove, blew it up like a balloon, and drew a chicken face on it. Heidi laughed and played with her new chicken toy for days until it finally deflated.
Fast forward thirty years at a holiday dinner, I shared the truth of the sun-tea jar accident: broken glass, Heidi screaming, blood, long waiting-room wait, etc. But Heidi looked at me, surprised, and said, “That’s not what happened at all.” Her memory was much more pleasant — a quick crash, driving straight to the emergency room, and Dr. Anderson, who was funny and kind and made her a silly chicken-head glove. She said she looked back fondly on that day.
I thought about Heidi’s words for days. She somehow had the ability to sort out and sift down the unpleasant elements and only remember the good parts of what happened. Then, I realized that the ability to screen out the negative things in our lives is a good thing and something that I now try to do.
I caught myself looking back at my own childhood and thought about several incidents that could be viewed as less than happy, but as a young child I didn’t linger on those things. Instead, I chose to remember the sweet and good things, just like Heidi did.
24. What led to Heidi’s injury?
A. She was hurt while making sun tea. B. The hot tea in the jar burned her leg.
C. She ran into the jar and knocked it over. D. The glass jar broke when she sat on it.
25. What did Dr. Anderson do to comfort Heidi?
A. He made a chicken-faced balloon. B. He bought her a toy chicken.
C. He treated her wound without needles. D. He drew a chicken on her bandage.
26. What surprised the author at the holiday dinner?
A. Heidi mainly focused on the good parts. B.Heidi’s memory of the accident was false.
C. Heidi remembered more terrible details. D. Heidi refused to believe the author.
27. What message does the author mainly want to convey?
A. Childhood memories are often unreliable. B. Painful experiences should be forgotten.
C. We should learn to see the bright side. D. Kindness from others can warm our life.

(原创)On a blazing hot day in South Africa, female southern pied babblers struggle to think clearly. The medium-sized black-and-white birds are trying to get at tasty mealworms behind a see-through barrier. On cooler days, the birds can quickly figure out that all they have to do is go around the small wall of plastic. But when the heat rises, the birds just keep stubbornly pecking(啄) at the barrier.
That experiment is part of a growing body of research showing that animals get their minds muddled during heat waves. They make foolish mistakes and struggle to complete tasks that are easy for them on cooler days. If animals can’t stay alert enough to find food or avoid predators, their chances of survival go downhill, says Amanda Ridley, a behavioral ecologist at the University of Australia.
Ridley and her colleagues further explored this cognitive(认知的) decline with another experiment on the same birds. The birds were presented with a simple wooden block with two holes drilled in it, each covered with a lid. When a bird pecked a lid, it would turn to show either an empty hole or a mealworm. One lid was dark, and the other a lighter shade of the same color. During heat waves, the birds needed twice as many trials to learn that the mealworm was always hidden under the lid of the same shade.
These studies are not just abstractions. In tropical rivers, for example, where male guppies(孔雀鱼) seek mates, heat waves are growing longer and more intense. It’s the same story across much of the planet — temperatures climb, and animal thinking becomes restricted, potentially putting species at risk. The effects may be increased in certain areas such as cities, which often exhibit even warmer temperatures than non-urban areas. If anything, Ridley says, “We are probably underestimating the impacts of increased heat on animal minds.”
28. What can be inferred from the first experiment about the birds ?
A. Heat stops them from figuring out the way. B. They cannot see the barrier clearly.
C. They are less motivated by mealworms. D.They prefer pecking to going around.
29. What does the underlined word "muddled" in paragraph 2 most likely mean?
A. Sharp. B. Confused.
C. Stubborn D. Exhausted
30.What does the second experiment reveal about the birds during heat waves?
A. They couldn’t recognize the lid’s color. B. They couldn't remember the correct lid.
C. They lost interest in mealworms. D. They needed more trials to learn.
31.Which of the following is the best title for the passage?
A. Cities Exhibit Warmer Temperatures B. Birds Struggle to Get Mealworms
C. Male Guppies Seek Mates in Rivers D. Heat Waves Influence Animal Minds
D
(原创)The world’s window for limiting global warming beyond disaster levels is fast closing. Experts increasingly agree that to prevent runaway climate change and to reach net-zero emissions of CO2 into the atmosphere, we need to look beyond removing fossil fuels.
So far, removal efforts have largely been limited to land. But many of these approaches come with a big drawback: competition for land and other resources. This shortage has led scientists to turn to a more promising alternative — the ocean.
The ocean is already one of humanity’s biggest climate allies(盟友): It has absorbed more than 90 percent of additional heat generated by global warming. It is a enormous carbon sink, storing a third of all carbon emitted by humans since the Industrial Revolution and, overall, 42 times more carbon than the atmosphere does. Why not adopt what we already know is a winner under natural circumstances?
One promising way to do this is called ocean alkalinity(碱性) enhancement.A company called Planetary Technologies, based in Halifax's scenic harbor, is testing one version of this method. It adds a mixture of magnesium hydroxide(氢氧化镁) to the water released from a local power plant before that water is discharged into the ocean. This mixture breaks down slowly in seawater, thus preventing sudden jumps in pH. It’s like a time-release effect.
The magnesium hydroxide makes seawater more alkaline, which causes absorbed CO2 to change to stable bicarbonate and carbonate that can remain trapped in seawater for up to a hundred thousand years. In this way, the chemical balance of the seawater is shifted. To restore that balance, the ocean then absorbs more CO₂ from the atmosphere.
But for all the potential of ocean carbon storage, significant challenges remain before these technologies can be released into the real world on any meaningful scale. “For a start, scientists need to study how changing ocean chemistry will affect marine organisms and ecosystems. Adding a lot of alkaline material in a small spot could alter ocean chemistry too rapidly and put stress on marine organisms if not done with care,” says Scott Doney, a biogeochemist at the University of Virginia.
32. How does the author introduce the topic in paragraph 1?
A. By providing key statistics. B. By comparing different approaches.
C. By questioning current policies. D. By presenting an urgent problem.
33. Why do scientists turn to the ocean for carbon removal?
A. Ocean-based methods are cheaper than land ones.
B. Land-based methods face resource competition.
C. The ocean absorbed most extra heat.
D. Ocean carbon lasts longer than on land.
34. What does the example of Planetary Technologies illustrate?
A. Risks of adding chemicals to seawater. B. Difficulty of large-scale ocean methods.
C. A practical way to absorb more CO₂. D. Need for more research on marine impacts.
35. What is Doney's attitude towards ocean alkalinity enhancement?
A. Optimistic. B. Pessimistic. C. Cautious. D. Indifferent.

(深度改编)Sometimes our friends’ behavior can offend (冒犯) us; sometimes we can see changes they need to make–but how do we tell them?
Are there any ways to make difficult conversations easier? 36 Such agreed-upon proof can make it easier for other people to recognize issues. Once you have proof, it’s important to highlight how it impacts us and others. Psychologist Andrea Bonior suggests framing problems with “I”. Saying “I feel hurt that you spend less time with me” is less accusatory (谴责的) than “You never spend time with me!”.
37 Becoming tense might lead you to react badly and cause an argument. Bonior recommends that you should acknowledge the conversation could make you anxious. 38 Admitting your anxiety to your friend shows a more human side.
We can lower the potential for conflict by listening to the other person and asking questions. 39 However, Bonior cautions against overplanning, as this can stop you from being flexible enough to genuinely follow and participate in the discussion.
Be realistic. Complicated problems are unlikely to be solved with one conversation. Think about what can be achieved in a single conversation and that it may be tougher than you expected. 40
A.Staying calm is vital.
B.This will help you set practical goals.
C.Plan your words to say things in a way that avoids conflict.
D.Some people like to gather evidence to support their concerns
E.Thinking about this yourself helps you focus on positive results.
F. It’s important to have solid evidence that there is indeed a problem.
G.Being completely honest with our friends is not always the best choice.

(原创)Luo is one of the oldest silk fabrics in China — a living fossil of silk civilization. The fabric's unique feel and appearance are achieved through a special weaving process 56 involves twisting silk threads to create a net-like structure. The result is a cloth that is light, smooth and 57 (elegant) simple in color.
This structure is no accident. In ancient times, the luo weaving(编织) method was inspired by the way people tied knots(结) to make fishing nets. Over time, that practical skill developed 58 a fine weaving.
Archaeological evidence confirms just how old this craft truly is. In 1972, carbonized fabric pieces dating back over 6,000 years 59 (discover) at the Caoxieshan site in Suzhou, Jiangsu province. These pieces, 60 (make) from plant fibers, represent the 61 (early) known physical evidence of the luo weaving craft in China. Silk luo fragments were later unearthed in Henan province, dating back more than 5,600 years. Since then, luo has been used for various 62 (purpose) in everyday life.
See-through and light, luo clothes were practical and cool for summer. Luo was also used for curtains and quilts, creating 63 atmosphere of subtle, simple Eastern elegance.
“Wuluo is not showy or fancy but its simple and gentle texture perfectly 64 (match) the Chinese ideals of balance and inner calm. That is the core reason why wuluo has survived for thousands of years 65 remains rooted in Chinese cultural tradition,” says Zhang Xiaoxia, a professor at Soochow University in Suzhou.

(原创)On an extremely hot day, I saw an elderly woman struggling with a walker and groceries. She looked exhausted, so I helped her into my car. On the way, we chatted. Her name was Ida, and she worked at a nearby store. She had missed her bus home. On the way, We chatted like old friends, and I found her very warm and pleasant.
Suddenly, I realized we were on the “wrong side of town.” It was getting dark, and I felt uneasy. We continued down unfamiliar streets until she finally pointed to an old apartment building where she lived. Several noisy young men in their early twenties had gathered around the entrance. They were smoking and appeared threatening. Some were on motorcycles, and one, wearing a jacket over his thick, long hair, was staring at me closely and smiling. I was getting more and more uncomfortable. But Ida seemed fine.I stopped the car. She had help with her groceries, thanked me, and I drove off quickly.
Luckily, my car had GPS. I drove slowly, sticking to residential streets. Once I knew where I was going, I turned on some familiar music. Suddenly, the roar of a motorcycle behind me broke the peace. Nervous, I slowed down, hoping he would pass me.
I recognized the biker from the apartment house. He didn’t pass me but continued to drive at the same speed as me. I realized he was waving for me to stop.
It was getting dark. I wouldn't stop for a stranger on a deserted street. I sped up, but he stayed right behind me. Panicking, I reached for my phone to call 911 — but my purse was nowhere to be found!
