Unit 7

Tom
I'm hungry. Let 's have some food!
That sounds good!
Listen to the conversation again and answer the questions.
A What did Danny want to eat for lunch?
B What did Danny’s uncle say to him?
C Why did Danny decide to have a balanced diet?
He wanted to eat a salad with many different vegetables.
He said that Danny shouldn’t eat so many donuts at a time. It’s not good for his health. He should also eat some vegetables. And he also said, “ You are what you eat!”
Because he dreamed that he became a big donut and everyone tried to eat him.
Jenny: What would you like to have for lunch, Danny?
Danny: Today I would like a salad with many different vegetables.
Jenny: That’s surprising! You don’t like vegetables, right?
Danny: Well, vegetables are healthy. They are good for us.
Jenny: That’s true.
Danny: To tell you the truth, I decided to change my eating habits last night.
Post-listening
Jenny: Really, Danny?
Danny: Yes. Last night, I ate five donuts as usual. My uncle said to me, “You shouldn’t eat so many donuts at a time. It’s not good for your health. You should also eat some vegetables.”
Jenny: Your uncle is right.
Danny: He also told me, “You are what you eat!” Later that night, I had a dream. In the dream I became a big donut and everyone tried to eat me. It was awful!
Jenny: Oh no! Poor Danny!
Danny: Yeah! Then I woke up and decided to have a balanced diet.
Jenny: It’s a good change, Danny! We all need a balanced diet.
