具体到某一天用介词on,on the 5th of June“在6月5日”符合。
Whether...can become“能否成为”,情态动词can后接动词原形become“成为”。
Just“仅仅”,Only“只有”,Still“仍然”,均与递进逻辑不符。

We should think twice before buying something new. Third, “Reuse” is about giving old things ____8____ new life. For example, we can use old cloth bags for shopping, or give away old books to someone who needs ____9____. Fourth, “Recycle“ means turning waste into new materials again. In most cities, rubbish like paper, metal and plastic ____10____ into different groups and sent to recycling factories. The last “Rot” is about turning food waste into compost to help plants grow.
These rules may seem simple, but they make a big difference to our planet. Let’s start with small steps and build a greener future!

前半句“Human activities are producing...” cause(原形)、causes(第三人称单数)、caused(过去式)均不符合现在进行时的并列结构。
little(原级,表“少”)、few(修饰可数名词)、fewer(修饰可数名词的比较级)均不匹配。

“give old things a new life”中new life为泛指,且new以辅音音素开头,用不定冠词a。 an(后接元音音素)、the(特指)、/(零冠词,不符合固定搭配)。
it(单数,指代不可数名词或单数名词)、him/her(指代单数人称)均不匹配。
separated(缺少be动词)、will be separated(将来时被动语态)、are separated(复数are与主语rubbish不一致)。

seventh(第七)、eighth(第八)、ninth(第九)均不符合常识。

but(连词,后不加逗号)、so(表结果)、because(表原因)。
made(制作)、gave(给予)、took(带走)都不能与 activities 搭配表示“举办”。

tea(茶)、tree(树)、plant(植物)均不能与“花瓣”搭配。
medicine(名词,药物)、healthy(健康的,形容词)、health(名词,健康)不符“中医”语境。

The Secret Garden
I never felt so lonely in my life as I did in Misselthwaite Manor. The house was huge and cold, with hundreds of locked rooms. I was told not to wander around, but I couldn’t help exploring.
Then one day, something strange happened. I heard the sound of crying somewhere in the house. I followed the sound down long corridors, but it always stopped just when I thought I was close. The servants said it was just the wind, but I knew they were lying.
A few days later, I met an old gardener named Ben Weatherstaff. He told me about a secret garden that had been locked for ten years. My aunt, the late Mrs. Craven, had loved that garden. After she died in an accident there, Mr. Craven locked the door and buried the key. No one had been inside ever since.
The story made me more curious. I decided to find the garden. Every morning, I wandered around the gardens, looking for the hidden door. I wanted to see what was inside, and I wanted to make the dead garden come alive again.
One morning, a little robin led me to a place under an old tree. There, half-buried in the soil, was a rusty key! My heart jumped with excitement. I was sure it was the key to the secret garden.
24. What did Mary hear in the manor?
A. The sound of wind. B. The sound of crying.
C. The sound of singing. D. The sound of gardening.
25. Why was the secret garden locked?
A. Because no one wanted to take care of it.
B. Because Mrs. Craven died in it and Mr. Craven was deeply sad.
C. Because there were many dangerous animals inside.
D. Because Mr. Craven wanted to keep the garden as a secret.
26. Which is the correct order of the story?
①Mary heard strange crying in the house. ②Mary found a rusty key under the tree.
③Ben told Mary about the locked secret garden. ④Mary explored the gardens every day.
A. ①③④② B. ①④③② C. ③①④② D. ③④①②
B 25. B 26. A
根据第二段第二句“I heard the sound of crying somewhere in the house.”
根据第三段倒数第二句“After she died in an accident there, Mr. Craven locked the door and buried the key.”
根据文章脉络:第二段“I heard the sound of crying somewhere in the house.”提到Mary听到哭声(①);第三段“A few days later, I met an old gardener named Ben Weatherstaff. He told me about a secret garden that had been locked for ten years.”提到Ben告诉Mary关于花园的事(③);第四段“Every morning, I wandered around the gardens, looking for the hidden door.”提到Mary每天在花园里探索寻找门(④);第五段“There, half-buried in the soil, was a rusty key!”

Clothes sharing is getting popular in China. More and more young people are considering environmental influence when choosing clothes.
“Fast fashion is one of the biggest causes of waste. Each year, the fashion industry produces over 92 million tons of textile waste,” said the United Nations Environment Programme. It also uses 2,700 liters of water to make just one cotton T-shirt, enough for one person to drink for two and a half years.
In China, new fashion brands are starting clothes-sharing services and using recycled materials. According to a report, China’s shared fashion market was valued at 1.2 billion yuan in 2023, and is expected to keep growing rapidly.
DressBox, a clothes-sharing brand in Shanghai, has noticed a growing interest in renting clothes for special occasions. When it started in 2017, few people accepted the idea. “When we told people they could rent designer dresses, the first question was always whether the clothes were clean and safe,” said the founder. However, things improved after 2020. That year, the company introduced strict disinfection (消毒) rules and gained more trust from customers.
WearCycle, a brand from Beijing, is also leading this trend. Started in 2019, WearCycle makes bags, scarves and other products from recycled old clothes. For example, they turn old denim jeans into durable shopping bags.
Liu Jia, the founder of WearCycle, said that one shopping bag can be made from three pairs of old jeans. By the end of 2024, WearCycle had recycled over 120,000 pieces of old clothes and cut carbon emissions by 560 tons. Their eco-friendly work has attracted big companies like H&M and IKEA to work together.

User 1
Dear friend,
It is great that you are interested in Chinese customs.
We respect the elderly deeply, so we let elders start eating first to show our love and good manners. Besides, don’t stick chopsticks straight in rice and try not to tap bowls. These rules carry our traditional virtue of politeness. They help people get along warmly and show respect to each other, making family meals full of warmth.
Wish you a wonderful Dragon Boat Festival dinner!
User 2
Dear friend,
It is great that you are interested in Chinese customs.
It’s thoughtful of you to prepare a small gift before visiting your classmate’s home. You can bring local snacks or fresh flowers as gifts, but avoid clocks or pears, as they have unlucky meanings in Chinese culture. When visiting, remember to knock before entering and greet the family politely. It’s also good to offer a hand when needed. Being polite and natural is the key to being a welcome guest.
