IT took her almost an hour to get to school each day, but SHE loved school so much that he never missed IT. As SHE grew up, SHE witnessed how her village changed great. Over the years, Better roads and bridges have been built. Now IT takes only ten minutes for children to get to school. As the first person from her village to graduate from university, bAiling decided to return to her hometown to become a teacher. Growth and development, though the area still needs further development through the courage and hard work of its people like bAiling, IT has a bright future ahead.

Twenty years ago, the seas of a visionary Green development philosophy resumed in china. Today, we witnessed this idea of flourishing across the country, with sustainable miracles unfurling across the country. China's rural revitalization is one of the country's most ambitious and transformative initiatives. IT aims to bring new life to the countryside by improving agriculture, infrastructure and quality of life for rural residence. The goal is simple but powerful. Create a baLanced and sustainable future for both cities and rural areas. One of the main focuses is improving farming. China is helping farmers use more advanced technology, Better seats and smarter farming methods. This makes agriculture more efficient and helps increase food production. The second big focus is building Better infrastructure in rural areas. This includes building modern roads, improving electricity and water systems, and even expanding the internet. With Better roads and communication, rural areas are becoming more connected to cities, which brings new opportunities for work and trade, but the most important part of the rural revitalization plan is improving people's lives. The government is helping to raise living standards by providing Better health care, education and job opportunities. They are also working to protect the culture and traditions of rural china, making sure the development doesn't array the past. Today, many rural areas are already seeing positive changes. More and more Young people are returning to their hometowns to start businesses and contribute to local development. With new jobs, Better living conditions and more opportunities, rural areas are becoming places of hope and growth. China's rural revitalization is not just about improving the countryside. It's about building a more harmonious society where everyone, no matter where they live, has the chance to thrive.

On the fast track in twenty seventeen, the new four hundred and eighty kilometer moba ni roby railway was opened before then. The only transport links between mumba, kenya's main port, and nairobi is capital were rough roads and an old railway line completed in nineteen o one. The old trains were very slow. IT took ten hours to get to nairobi's amba by train. However, the new railway built with china's help has already cut the travel time between mombassa and nairobi's two, about five to six hours for passengers. Now more than two million people use IT every year. Local kenyans have benefit a lot from the new railway, a government worker said, i'm very happy with the new railway built by our chinese friends. Many changes have taken place in the town over the last few years, and the people who live here have become rich, a business man said. My experience of using the train since twenty seventeen has been good. IT is very convenient and doesn't cost much money. I am able to get to places on time and make business deals with ease. The railway has also made the transport of food easier. IT used to take hundreds of lorries to Carry food between the two cities, but now IT takes only two or three trains, said a supermarket manager. As a result, people now have more fresh food to eat. Although china and kenya are far away from each other, the railway shows how different countries can work together to build a Better world.
Wow, the new highway and railway must have helped a lot. Oh, they have. Our village has become a tourist attraction. We can now sell local products to tourists. The Changes in My Teenage Life
Growing up means many changes, and my life has changed a lot since I was in primary school. Three of these changes have shaped me into who I am today.
First, neighbourhood is totally different. I used to live in a quiet old community with a small park. Now I live in a lively new neighbourhood. There is a big library and a sports center nearby, so I can read books or play basketball with my friends easily after school.

Second, the transport have changed greatly. I used to go everywhere with my parents, whether it was school or the supermarket. I was always shy and afraid to talk to strangers. Now I can take the bus or subway by myself. This makes me feel more responsible and independent.
Third, my study habits have changed too. I used to only do my homework and never take extra time to learn new things. Now I know how to manage my time well.
I spend an hour reading English novels every day, and
I even joined the school English club.
Despite all these changes, one thing has never faded: the warmth of my family. Every evening, my family sits together to talk about our day. This simple moment of happiness is what keeps me going, no matter how busy life gets.

Great Changes in My Hometown
What strikes me most is that great changes have taken place in my hometown in recent years. In the past, most people lived in small and old houses with poor conditions. But now it’s common for people to live in modern high buildings or comfortable apartments.
When it comes to the environment, it was terrible, with the rivers seriously polluted. However, with the government’s support, the situation has become better. The once-polluted rivers are now clear again. The streets have become wide and clean, and both sides of the roads are covered with trees and flowers.
As for the traffic, it used to be very inconvenient for people to go out. But now it’s more convenient for us to travel to other places. It’s clear that people are living a better life.
I’m really happy with these great changes. I hope my hometown will become more and more beautiful in the future.

Environment (环境)
The hills were covered with sand.
What problems did Li Rui’s hometown once face when dealing with the environmental problems?
sandstorms
沙尘暴
What problem does the picture show?
/ˈsændstɔːm/
A sandstorm (沙尘暴) is a strong, dry windstorm that carries large amounts of sand, dust, and fine soil particles into the air.
water shortage
水资源短缺
/ˈʃɔːtɪdʒ/
There is not enough clean, usable water to meet the needs of people, farms, factories, or the environment in a certain area.
farmland shortage

Give your reasons.
Water is the most basic need for all living things, including people, animals, and crops. Without enough clean water, people cannot drink or cook, crops will die, and daily life will stop. This problem directly threatens human survival, so it is the most serious.
Water shortage (Rank 1)
Give your reasons.
Farmland is where we grow food. If there is not enough farmland, we cannot produce enough food for everyone. Food shortages can lead to hunger and social problems.
Farmland shortage (Rank 2)
Sandstorms can damage houses, pollute the air, and make it hard to breathe. They can also destroy crops and make farmland worse. However, they are usually seasonal or regional problems, and their impact is not as constant or common as water or farmland shortages.
Sandstorms (Rank 3)
Give your reasons.
A lack of technology makes solving the other three problems harder, it is not a direct threat to survival itself. Compared to the other three problems, its effects are more indirect and can be improved over time.
Lack of technology (Rank 4)
Give your reasons.

In 2017, the new 480-kilometre Mombasa-Nairobi railway was opened. Before then, the only transport links between Mombasa, Kenya’s main port, and Nairobi, Kenya’s capital, were rough roads and an old railway line completed in 1901.The old trains were very slow. It took 10 hours to get to Nairobi from Mombasa by train.
However, the new railway, built with China’s help, has already cut the travel time between Mombasa and Nairobi to about five to six hours for passengers. Now, more than two million people use it every year.
Local Kenyans have benefited a lot from the new railway. A government worker said, “I’m very happy with the new railway built by our Chinese friends. Many changes have taken place in the town over the last few years, and the people who live here have become rich.” A businessman said, “My experience of using the train since 2017 has been good. It is very convenient and doesn’t cost much money. I am able to get to places on time and make business deals with ease. ” The railway has also made the transport of food easier. “It used to take hundreds of lorries to carry food between the two cities, but now it takes only two or three trains” said a supermarket manager. As a result, people now have more fresh food to eat.
Although China and Kenya are far away from each other, the railway shows how different countries can work together to build a better world.
