高二英语参考答案 第一部分 听力(共两节,满分30分) 1.【答案】C 【原文】M: Do you know what time it is? I left my watch at home this morning. W: Yes, it’s 2:30 p.m. M: Oh, that means I only have fifteen minutes before my appointment. Thanks! 2.【答案】A 【原文】W: Carl, are you going out this afternoon? M: Yes. I’m going to a concert with a friend. W: You’d better take an umbrella. It’s clear now. But the weatherman said it’d rain cats and dogs. 3.【答案】B 【原文】M: I had a problem with one of your managers yesterday. She was terribly rude to me. W: I’m sorry to hear that. What happened? 4.【答案】A 【原文】W:Seafood is a healthy source of natural fat. But some polluted oceans can cause fish to be unclean. M: True. And having various foods is more important than we expected. W: But finding inexpensive food matters the most for me — at least until I have more money! 5.【答案】B 【原文】M: Different animals have different ways of communicating information, some by sound and some by smell. W: You really read a lot in the library. But I came here today to see animals, not to listen to your lesson. 【答案】6. B 7. C 【原文】W: There’s something wrong with the printer in our study. M: But we’ve only had it two months. W: I know. I keep pressing the button but it won’t print anything. M: It might run out of paper. W: No. It can’t be that. There’s plenty of paper. The problem is that it just won’t print. Well, have you got any idea what this symbol means? The one flashing here. M: Maybe it means there is some paper stuck inside. It might be worth opening it and having a look. W: Oh yes. You’re right. That saves me. I have to hand in the report to my boss on Monday. 【答案】8. A 9. C 10. C 【原文】M: Hi, Kate. Have any plans for the weekend? W: Yeah, I’m really excited. I’m going to New York City for a couple of days. M: Oh, my roommate’s going there too. Are you driving? Maybe you two could ride together. W: No. I’ve already got my train ticket. I’m visiting a friend I met last summer. Remember I went to a music camp? I shared a room with Laura and now she’s just moved to a new place. M: You two probably have a lot to talk about. Are you from New York? W: No, I’m from California. I’ve never been to New York before. Guess what we are going to do on Saturday night? M: Something to do with music, I bet. W: Right, we are going to a concert. M: Wow, I wish I were going with you. 【答案】11. A 12. A 13. C 【原文】W: Hello, this is Karen from the May Flower Travel Agency. Is that Mr. Brown speaking? M: Yes, speaking. W: Mr. Brown, I’m phoning to tell you we have changed our travel plans. M: Oh, how come? W: Since there is going to be a storm tomorrow, we put off our trip to the West Lake until the following day; that is the day after tomorrow — Friday. M: Really? But the weather is fine now. W: Well, that’s what the weather report said. Are you still interested in travelling with us? M: Yes, I’d love to. My wife and I planned to visit it a long time ago. W: Then could you please be ready by eight on Friday? M: Certainly. Should I ask the hotel to pack lunch? W: You won’t need to worry about food or water. We’ll take care of these. Just take a coat along as it will be windy that day. M: OK, thank you. W: That’s fine. See you. 【答案】14. C 15. A 16. C 17. B 【原文】W: Hi, this is Sarah Clark, and I ordered a $150 machine on your website this morning. It says it might take as long as 3 business days for such orders to ship. However, I’ll be out of town to meet some clients next week, and I won’t be able to accept the delivery at home. So I would like you to ship it to my office instead. M: Wait a minute. Let me see. Umm. Sorry, but your order has already been sent out this morning, Ms. Clark. If nobody is at your home next week, it will be returned to us. In that case, one of our customer service representatives will give you a call. W: Couldn’t you drop it off at the local post office? And then I’ll get it myself sometime. M: I’m afraid it’s not possible. W: Well, OK, do you charge extra for resending it? M: Yes, we only cover the first delivery fee. And you have to pay another 10 dollars for resending it. It will be added to your bill. 【答案】18. B 19. A 20. B 【原文】M: Emerging from the Antarctic deep, the world’s most famous undiscovered shipwreck Endurance is now found. It’s the first time anyone has seen it in more than 100 years. Endurance, perfectly preserved, is about 3,000 meters beneath the ice. “I knew that this was probably either the first or second most strongly-built ice ship ever, and I was just amazed at its construction. It held together beautifully,” said a British explorer. The condition is astonishing. The exploring team spent weeks searching the deep until Endurance was at last found. The team found that Endurance was in trouble from the start — becoming stuck in thick sea ice just weeks after setting off from South Georgia. It floated for months before an order was eventually given to the crew to abandon the ship. The ship won’t be raised and nothing will be removed. When the team left, it was just as it was found, resting in the darkness of this most remote corner of the world. 第二部分 阅读(共两节,满分50分) 21. C 22. D 23. B 24. C 25. B 26. D 27. A 28. A 29. C 30. A 31. It not only distracts our attention from studies but also makes our thinking shallow. What’s more, it takes up a great deal of time that could be spent on more meaningful things. Books, on the other hand, can enrich our minds and broaden our horizons. So, I sincerely call on all of you to stop scrolling through short videos and start reading. Let’s dive into the wonderful world of books and gain valuable knowledge. Thank you for listening. 第二节(满分 25 分) I was at a loss what to do. I stared at the tiny kitten in my arms, her tiny body still trembling slightly from the cold rain. She nuzzled my palm gently, and my heart softened completely. I thought of my own loneliness and pain after losing Mom, and I knew I couldn’t abandon this fragile little life. I decided to keep her, and named her Francis. I bought her warm kitten milk, a soft cat bed and some funny little toys on my way home. Taking care of the kitten gives me something solid to hold onto. I fed her on time, cleaned her litter box patiently, and played with her happily after school. She would wait for me at the door every evening, and curl up in my arms when I felt down. Slowly, the heavy weight on my chest faded away. She didn’t just get a home that day — she saved me, pulled me out of endless darkness, and gave me a real reason to live again. 1. B For three decades, Camilleri, a Canadian fashion designer, had made a name for herself dressing A-listers. Her delicate styles from leather, to evening wear, to custom other showed in the covers of the hottest magazines. But when Turnbull — a well-known journalist and wheelchair user since a terrible accident left her quadriplegic (四肢瘫痪者) in 1983 — approached her to design stylish, comfortable clothes to fit her body through the seasons, Camilleri realized her real calling was to help bring fashion to a completely under-served community. “I had no idea that someone in a chair had any different clothing needs than you or I,” says the designer. “The world was my market because nobody had ever done this before.” In 2004 Camilleri opened a boutique (精品店) specially for people who use wheelchairs. “Everything we do, the starting point is from a seated frame. So what happens when you’re sitting? What happens to the clothes? Where are they getting together?” Camilleri explains. “We literally had to recreate the patterns to accommodate a seated frame.” Her custom creations have changed lives. Winkelaar has been in a wheelchair since a car accident two weeks before his fourth birthday. Until he met Camilleri, he lacked confidence in his appearance and was afraid of entering the clothing stores because he had trouble finding trousers that fit properly. Salah has spastic cerebral palsy (痉挛性脑瘫). She says clothing stores are always daunting places full of pieces out of reach. Salah says she carries herself differently now and she is more confident in her appearance. Being able to have access to fashionable functional clothing gives her a lot of dignity. “Camilleri’s pieces are now part of an exhibit at the Royal Ontario Museum, and her success in a new rare market has not gone unnoticed in the mainstream fashion world. She is a truly brilliant technician. She puts fashion and confidence within reach of the disabled,” Canadian television personality and fashion critic Jeanne Beker says. 24. What drives Camilleri to open a boutique? A. Seeking fame. B. Making a profit. C. Providing service. D. Meeting a challenge. 25. Which of the following can replace the underlined word “daunting” in paragraph 4? A. Inspiring. B. Frightening. C. Striking. D. Comforting. 26. What message does Beker want to convey in the last paragraph? A. Camilleri is a highly original thinker. B. Camilleri is a productive market advisor. C. Camilleri is a critical technician leader. D. Camilleri is a successful fashion innovator. 27. Which of the following can best describe Camilleri? A. Considerate and visionary. B. Ambitious and hardworking. C. Creative and stubborn. D. Determined and conventional. C What if you could meet most of your daily needs-shopping, work, education, healthcare-within a 15-minute walk or bike ride from your home? This is the exciting vision of the “15-minute city”, an urban planning concept that gained global attention years ago. However, putting it into practice has sparked unexpected and fierce opposition. The concept was popularized by Mayor Anne Hidalgo of Paris and based on the research of French scholar Carlos Moreno. It suggests a move from city planning centered mainly on cars to one focused on “chronic-urbanism”. The goal is to return urban space to people, with more parks and streets for walking. Advocates argue that this model addresses multiple crises all at the same time: climate change, social isolation, and public health. Despite its apparent benefits, opponents have misrepresented the idea online, framing it as a secret government plan to control people’s free movement. While these claims are baseless, they have gained support, influencing public opinion and making it harder for cities like Oxford and Melbourne to carry out the concept. The real issue, however, goes deeper than misinformation. It points to a fundamental problem in urban innovation: the difficulty of imagining a life less dependent on the private car. For decades, the car has symbolized personal freedom and status. Any policy that seems to reduce car use, even if it aims to enhance overall quality of life, can make people feel emotionally upset. This reflects what transport experts call “car dependency”, a cultural and deep-rooted habit that is hard to break. The situation mirrors past urban conflicts. For instance, many people opposed creating walking-only streets in city centers decades ago, but now, such areas are mostly loved and valued. The experts of a recent study on sustainable transition conclude that the battle for the 15-minute city is not just about planning; it’s about messaging. Success depends not only on smart design but also on effectively conveying its vision of a more sustainable and human urban future. 28. What can we learn about “chronic-urbanism” in paragraph 2? A. It gives more space to people. B. It aims to expand road networks. C. It focuses on car development. D. It was created by Carlos Moreno. 29. What do the opponents think of the 15-minute city? A. Traffic-slowing. B. Money-wasting. C. Freedom-limiting. D. Tech-demanding. 30. What does paragraph 4 mainly talk about? A. The challenge of a less car-centered life. B. The significance of private cars. C. The public’s reactions to a new policy. D. The definition of car dependency. 31. What does the experts’ conclusion imply in the last paragraph? A. Public opinions are too hard to change. B. Sustainable transition is the top priority. C. Communication matters as much as design. D. Planning should send an innovative message. D Plastic has always been a double-edged sword — multi-purpose and cheap, but chemically stable. Traditional recycling methods involve multiple stages of sorting, cleaning, and melting (融化), which are energy-intensive and degrade the material’s quality. Turning plastic into fuel has been explored before, but existing techniques require high heat, complex catalysts (催化剂), and often produce impure results. Now, a groundbreaking cooperation between scientists in the US and China has brought the world one step closer to a real solution. Using a specially designed catalytic reaction, researchers found a way to break down long plastic polymer (聚合物) chains into short hydrocarbon molecules — the building blocks of fuel — in a single step. The team’s secret lies in a novel catalytic material that operates at medium temperatures — far lower than those used in conventional methods. Unlike traditional recycling, which melts plastic into lower-grade products, this catalyst essentially reduces plastics into usable hydrocarbon chains in just a few hours. The output can then be further processed into fuels for vehicles or even planes. According to Professor Zhang Wei, a chemical engineer from the Chinese partner university, the process transforms 95% of the plastic into usable hydrocarbons, leaving minimal remains and almost no harmful byproducts. The implications of this breakthrough extend far beyond scientific curiosity. If widely used, the one-step plastic-to-fuel method could dramatically reduce both plastic waste and non-renewable fuel dependence. Promising as the results are, experts stress that the cost of catalysts, the difficulty of collecting mixed plastic waste, and the issue of carbon emissions from burning fuels are key challenges to be addressed. For this reason, scientists see the innovation not as an end point, but as a temporary fix toward a cleaner future. While questions remain, this innovation marks a hopeful turn in humanity’s long battle with plastic waste. It transforms what was once pollution into power and demonstrates that the solutions to big problems often lie in rethinking waste not as garbage-but as potential. 32. What is a key advantage of the new method of recycling plastics? A. Low costs. B. Simple processes. C. High security. D. Adjustable reaction. 33. What does the novel catalyst help with? A. Speeding up waste collection. B. Adjusting the operating temperature. C. Minimizing harmful byproducts. D. Turning plastics into basic chemicals. 34. How do scientists regard the method? A. A dead end. B. A starting point. C. A stepping stone. D. A definite answer. 35. What inspiration does the innovation bring to us? A. New views create possibilities. B. Human effort overcomes challenges. C. Close teamwork works wonders. D. Tough problems lead to innovations. 第二节(共5小题;每小题2.5分,满分12.5分) 根据短文内容,从短文后的选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。 As our dogs enter their golden years, what they need for their continued comfort and happiness will change. 36 It involves a comprehensive approach that covers their changing health, mobility, and emotional well-being. It’s important to stay on top of their health with regular vet check-ups to help detect any age-related issues early on. This way, conditions such as joint pain or mental decline can be managed effectively, ensuring your senior dog is getting the care they need. Remember to keep a close eye on their behavior. 37 As your dog ages, their nutritional needs will change, too. It’s essential to change their diet and monitor their weight to prevent any obesity-related health issues. 38 Also consider giving supplements such as a multivitamin which includes joint-supporting ingredients, as well as healthy fats which help improve brain function and support healthy skin. Your dog might not be as lively as they once were, so adjusting their exercise routine makes sense. 39 Activities like swimming are great, too, as they provide all-round exercise to maintain muscle mass and joint flexibility without putting stress on their old bones. 40 Spend quality time with your senior dog, engaging in activities they love. Your companionship is invaluable to them. With a thoughtful approach to their needs, you can ensure that your loyal companion enjoys their later years with dignity, comfort, and the love they deserve. Remember, you’re not alone in this. Get in touch with your vet or fellow pet parents if you need advice or support. A. Choose high-quality senior dog food. B. But preventive care is better than treatment. C. Any small relevant shifts are often the first clues. D. Emotional well-being should not be overlooked. E. Think gentle walks instead of intense fetch sessions. F. Don’t forget to reward them with their favorite treats after exercise. G. Taking care of your senior dog goes beyond regular walks and meals. 第三部分 语言运用(共两节,满分30分) 第一节(共15小题;每小题1分,满分15分) 阅读下面短文,从每题所给的A、B、C、D四个选项中选出最佳选项,并在答题卡上将该项涂黑。 I used to believe a packed calendar means a full life. My days were 41 , well ahead of time, for dinners out, exercise classes, trips to the cinema — 42 that I knew to be beneficial or rewarding. I had been determined to make work less central to my life: I couldn’t 43 myself just for work as I had so much else going on. But when the time came to 44 my plans, I found that I 45 not only how much it was possible, but also my 46 to do so. As my mood and energy levels continued to worsen, social occasions increasingly felt like another 47 — something I had to do, rather than something I wanted to do. Arriving to have dinner with friends became 48 to a work meeting; they registered the same in my calendar. It eventually dawned on me that scheduling far in advance was 49 me of the opportunity to enjoy myself. I had made these plans from a 50 standpoint, without allowing for the very real possibility that I would be 51 or tired. Moving to Norwich helped me 52 this habit. Within months, I rediscovered the joy of free-flowing. My days were necessarily 53 , because I had fewer local friends. I was surprised by how much I benefited from spending more time alone. I was having interesting thoughts that I suspect would have failed me had I carried on at 54 pace. My newly 55 schedule also meant that, if I finished work for the day and felt like seeing a film, I could. I started to understand what all those self-help books meant about being your “true self”. 41. A. lit up B. cut short C. booked up D. held back 42. A. activities B. tasks C. hobbies D. routines 43. I’ve spent most of my life feeling empty, lost, misunderstood and exhausted in ways I never knew how to explain. I’ve always felt like I was just surviving instead of actually living, like I was carrying this constant weight on my chest. When my mom passed away in late 2023, whatever stability I had left completely fell apart. Months later on April 28th, 2024, I was walking out of school and it was raining really hard. A friend offered to drive me home, but I politely declined because I didn’t want to feel like a burden, so I lied and said I “liked walking in the rain”. While I was walking on my way home, I heard tiny meows. I followed the sound and saw a tiny kitten, completely soaked, shaking and meowing in the middle of the rain. I remember how fragile (虚弱的) she was and it hurt to look at her. I stood there for a moment not knowing what to do, then tried to look for her mother, but she was nowhere to be found. I ended up taking the kitten with me, telling myself it was just for the night and that I’d bring her back later to find her mom. The next day, I went back to the same spot and searched for over an hour. I couldn’t find anything. I didn’t want to leave her outside, so I took her to the nearest shelter, hoping they could keep her. They checked her and said she was fine, but when I asked if they could take her in, they refused. I couldn’t leave her. She was barely two months old, and there was no way she would’ve survived on her own. 注意: 1.续写词数应为 150 个左右; 2.请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。 I was at a loss what to do.
