UNIT 6 素养练习 第一部分 选择题(共50) 一、阅读理解(共20小题,每小题2;总计40) 第一节 A Dress like an Astronaut 1.( )How many layers of a space suit are needed to protect you from fire? A.Two. B.Three. C.Thirteen. D.Sixteen. 2.( )Which part of a space suit helps astronauts talk to others? A.The visor. B.The helmet. C.The control module. D.The life support system. 3.( ) What can you learn from the text? A.Hands will get very cold in a space suit. B.The control module controls all parts of a space suit. C.There's some air and water in the bag of a space suit. D.A space suit makes astronauts feel really hot and awful. 4.( )Where does the text most probably come from? A.A science fiction story. B.A space science magazine. C.A fashion guide. D.A history book. B(跨学科·生物) Fish babies in space? What surprising news! In a space study on zebra fish, Chinese scientists have set a new record. They successfully got four zebra fish to live and grow healthily in a closed water world. The zebra fish went to China's space station on the Shenzhou18 spaceship on 25th April, 2024. After that, they lived in a closed fish tank (缸) with some plants. The fish grew up and had babies in 43 days. It means that the fish completed a whole life stage, from growth to development and giving babies. In their special closed environment, the plants made air for the fish and the fish's waste gave the plants food. The scientists gave the fish food through a special needle (针头). Such a closed environment is important for future studies in space. It means that plants and animals can live in space more easily. The scientists also found that the zebra fish acted differently in space. For example, they often swam on their backs in space. The low gravity (重力) in space is a big reason. However, on Earth, gravity pulls everything to the Earth's centre, and animals can find their way easily. Gravity also makes their bodies work harder and become stronger. It isn't the first time fish have been sent into space. Zebra fish were earlier sent to the space station in 1976. Why do scientists choose zebra fish? Humans and zebra fish share 70 per cent of the same genes (基因). So the new finding will help scientists better understand human health and human diseases. 5.( )What do we know about the space study? A.There were more than four zebra fish at last. B.It took scientists less than one month to finish the study. C.It took place in an open fish tank. D.Scientists from different countries did it together. 6.( ) Which picture should be in the circle with “?” to show the environment in the fish tank? A. B. C. D. 7.( ) What's the possible result of the low gravity in space? A.Human bodies get stronger. B.Animals can easily find their way. C.The zebra fish often swim on their backs. D.The zebra fish swim in the same direction. 8.( )(高阶思维·主旨大意) What is the last paragraph mainly about? A.The importance of the study. B.The ways of the space study. C.Further studies on zebra fish. D.The differences between zebra fish and humans. C On April 24, 1970, the first satellite of China, Dongfanghong 1, took off. 55 years later, the much larger and higher level Shenzhou 20 manned spaceship took off on the same date. While Dongfanghong 1 is China's first small step in space, Shenzhou 20 now can carry astronauts and perform scientific tests, showing China's great steps forward. As one of the key advances(进步) of this mission, the Long March 2F rocket has made 32 technical improvements. One of them is the telemetry system (遥测系统). In the past, scientists stored important information in a “black box” (a special recorder) and studied it after its return. But now, the new system collects it by using cameras and sensors (传感器) on the tower in some key locations. With a transmission rate (传输率) of 5 Mbps, it can send around 100 A4sized pages of documents(文件) every second. This allows flight information to be collected and sent back to Earth in real time during the whole mission. Later this year, China plans to carry out two manned missions and one supply mission. If these are achieved, the space station will be able to run over 180 science programs including life science and other fields. At the same time, China is working toward landing astronauts on the moon before 2030. And new rockets and spaceships are being tested to make sure they are safe. All these steps show China's dream of reaching deep space and sharing knowledge with the world. China's space journey grows more promising every day. Each mission shows not just scientific achievement but also the realization of a centuriesold dream. 9.( )How does the writer show China's progress in space in Paragraph 1? A.By comparing facts. B.By giving examples. C.By telling a story. D.By asking questions. 10.( )What does the underlined word “them” in Paragraph 2 refer to? A.The tests. B.The missions. C.The rockets. D.The improvements. 11.( ) Which of the following can help scientists to collect information now? 12.( )(高阶思维·标题归纳) What could be the best title of this passage? A.Shenzhou 20: A New Step in China's Space Work B.Stories of China's First Satellite, Dongfanghong 1 C.The Life of Chinese Astronauts in the Space Station D.The Future Improvements of Long March Rockets D Recently, a great scientific discovery amazed the world. Chinese scientists have already found a new method to produce water on the Moon. It could change how we think about living on the Moon in the future! Their discovery shows that by using lunar soil (月壤), scientists can create a lot of water on the Moon. In the past, missions to the Moon showed that there might be ice at the Moon's north and south poles (极). However, there isn't much water in lunar soil—only a little bit, like 0.0001 percent to 0.02 percent. So it's difficult for people to expect to live on the Moon. The researchers, however, found something exciting, after studying the rocks and soil from the Moon. They were brought back by the Chang'e5 spacecraft. One of the exciting things they discovered is that lunar soil melts when it reaches over 1,000℃. When it begins to melt, it produces water vapor (蒸气). They learned that just 100g of lunar soil can give us 5.1g to 7.6g of water. So, if we had one ton of lunar soil, we could get between 51kg and 76kg of water. That's enough to give drinking water to 50 people for one day! All in all, this research opens up new possibilities for finding water on the Moon. It's important for future trips to the Moon and people who might live there someday. As we learn more about how to make water from lunar soil, we get closer to the dream of humans living on the Moon. This discovery could help make that dream come true! 13.( )Why does the writer mention the earlier research in Paragraph 2? A.To show that it was completely wrong. B.To compare it with the new discovery. C.To prove that there is no running water on the Moon. D.To explain why people wanted to live on the Moon before. 14.( )(跨学科·数学) How much water may scientists get if they have 1,000g of lunar soil? A. B. C. D. 15.( )(高阶思维·观点态度) What's the writer's attitude (态度) towards the dream of humans living on the Moon? A.Hopeful. B.Worried. C.Surprised. D.Doubtful. 16.( )(高阶思维·推理判断) What can we infer (推断) from the text? A.Humans are the builders of the earth. B.Mistakes often help us find the truth. C.Scientific discoveries are continuallymoving forward. D.Future space exploration faces challenges and chances. 第二节 China's Tiangong Space Station is set to welcome its first foreign visitor—a Pakistani (巴基斯坦的) astronaut.
