Passage 1
(昭通市·第一中学教研联盟)
On Sept. 2, 2012, the dog Hunter passed away over the Rainbow Bridge at about 15 years old. He was so sweet and gentle. I rescued him from HELP in 2001 when he was about three (after his second visit to HELP). I went to his foster (代养的) home in North Aurora. His foster mom said she just gave him a shower, so he would be presentable. I walked through the door and there were many dogs and toys. I never understood why he came to the shelter twice. He did get two pieces of bread from the table and put them on the floor, but that was my carelessness and I quickly learned that. No more problems.
On the way home that day, I promised him he was home for good and he would never have to worry again—I would love him till the end. That was the best move I had ever made. I just lost my dog Bo two months ago. Now Hunter brought sunshine into my life and saved me. Near the end of his life, I was able to repay him for all he had done for me.
I do not remember his foster mom’s name. I promised to send the latest information to her, but lost her email address. I wish I could tell her what a good dog Hunter turned out to be, but I’m sure she already knew that. If she is still a foster mom, perhaps she will read this.

Passage 2
(玉溪市·期末)
On August 6,1926, the world held its breath as 21-year-old Gertrude Trudy Ederle, an American pioneer, prepared to attempt what no woman had done before — swimming across the English Channel from Cape Gris-Nez in France to Dover, England. Against the fast-shifting tides, towering six-foot waves, and bone-chilling cold, Ederle stood strong, showing great determination in pushing the limits of human perseverance (坚持).
As she jumped into the channel, Ederle moved at 28 strokes (划水) per minute. After two hours in the water, Ederle was 4.5 miles northwest, about to swing northeast on the flood tide towards the channel’s centre. On her support boat, her coach handed her a bottle of chicken soup, while her sister played Ederle’s favourite records on a record player.
After swimming for five hours, Ederle had covered 11 miles, with Dover lying 10 miles to the northwest. Throughout the afternoon, she continued steadily, but around 5 p.m., the weather took a turn against her. Within an hour, a storm hit, with waves rocking her support boat and beating her tired body. As conditions worsened, they had to change their destination, moving away from Dover with the current and heading north along the Kentish coast.
Over the next four tiring hours, Ederle faced the final test of her perseverance, battling rough seas and bitter cold. Finally, at 9:48 pm, after nearly 15 hours since she started, her toes touched the beach at Kingsdown, five miles north of Dover.
When Ederle swam across the English Channel, she not only became the first woman to achieve this feat (壮举), but she also broke the existing record set by an Argentine swimmer in 1923, completing the crossing in less time than any man before her.
Nearly 4,000 people eagerly waited for her on the shore. Among them were Britons who had been drawn to the beach by the great expectation of witnessing a historic moment in sports. Nationality didn’t matter; what united the crowd was their shared celebration of human strength.

The Last Autumn Fair
Mrs. Jennings stood by her window, watching the last leaves of autumn fall. For forty years, she had run the “Harvest Treasures” stall at the local autumn fair, selling handmade honey and telling stories. Now, the fair was to be replaced by a modern shopping center. This weekend would be the final event.
Her granddaughter, Lucy, was busy helping her pack jars of golden honey. “Grandma, are you sad?” Lucy asked, noticing her quietness.
“A little,” Mrs. Jennings smiled. “But change is part of life. The fair holds my best memories — your father running around these stalls, the laughter of friends, the community coming together. These cannot be replaced.”

When Anthony Madu dances, he “feels free”.
At 14 years old, the Nigerian ballet dancer’s life became the subject of the Disney documentary (纪录片) “Madu”. Before the film came out, Madu spoke in a news program to discuss his story. In 2020, at just 11 years old, Anthony went viral after his dance teacher posted a video of his doing pirouettes (单脚尖旋转) barefoot in the rain in the street. The video caught the attention of director Matthew Ogens. Passage 5
(昭通市·第一中学教研联盟)
As a foreigner living in China, I showed great interest in the beautiful, various characters (文字) that seemed to hold so much meaning and history. Wanting to learn more, I decided to start a journey to learn Chinese calligraphy (中国书法), an ancient and great art form in China. Little did I know, I was about to be lost in a world of patience and self-expression.
I began by researching the history of Chinese calligraphy and the different styles: the bold and strong oracle bone script (甲骨文), the elegant and flowing grass script, and the standard script, which is used in modern Chinese writing. Armed with this knowledge, I found out a local calligraphy teacher and began my lessons.
My first few attempts were clumsy, as I struggled to grasp the brush and control the ink. It was challenging to keep the correct posture and balance while writing, and I found myself tired after hours of practice. However, my teacher encouraged me to keep going and not be discouraged by my lack of experience.
Over time, I came to realize that the fundamental essence (精髓) of Chinese calligraphy is not simply the writing itself but also the spirit and feelings behind it. Each stroke (笔画) and each character have their own distinct rhythm and cadence (抑扬顿挫). The more I practiced, the more I became used to this pattern, and my writing began to flow more freely.
My journey to learn Chinese calligraphy has not only deepened my appreciation for Chinese culture but also taught me valuable life lessons. A.Technical perfection in writing. B.Speed and efficiency of creation.
C.The spirit and emotions behind characters D.Strict adherence (坚持) to traditional rules.

Passage 7
(保山市·高一下期末检测)
I felt encouraged by his words and began to swim more calmly. But my clothes stuck to me like a heavy weight. I could hardly stay above the surface.
Counsel saw this. “Shall I cut them?” he asked.
With a knife he cut my clothes from top to bottom and took them off quickly while I swam for both of us.
Then I did the same for Counsel, and we continued to swim near each other.
But we were in serious trouble. The crew might not have noticed our disappearance.
And if they had, they could not return because the rudder (舵) had broken. Counsel thought of all this, and calmly made his plans. We decided to wait for the ship as long as possible, because we had no other hope of safety. I suggested that we save our strength so that both of us would not be tired out at the same time. This was how we did it: While one of us lay on his back, quite still, with arms crossed and legs stretched out, the other would swim and push him along. We exchanged every ten minutes or so. In this way, we could swim for hours, perhaps till daylight. The crash of the ship and the whale had appeared at about eleven o’clock. We had about eight hours to swim before daylight. This seemed possible, if the sea remained calm.

Passage 8
(昆明市·高一下期末)
I was born with a disability (残疾). When I started to go to school, my classmates were always teasing about it. I told them I’d fallen as a baby and cut my lips on a piece of glass. Somehow it seemed more acceptable to have suffered an accident than to have been born different. By seven, I was sure no one outside my own family could ever love me or even like me.
And then I entered the second grade, and Mrs. Leonard’s class. She was round, pretty and sweet, with shining brown hair and warm, smiling dark eyes. Everyone loved her. But no one came to love her more than I did.
The time came for the annual hearing tests given at our school. I was hardly able to hear anything out of one ear, and wasn’t about to show yet another problem that would single me out as different. So I cheated.
During the hearing tests, each child would go to the door of the classroom, turn sideways, close one ear with a finger, and the teacher would whisper something from her desk, which the child would repeat. Then the same thing was done for the other ear. I had discovered in kindergarten that nobody checked to see if the untested ear was being fully covered, so I only pretended to block mine.
My turn came. I knew from previous years that the teacher whispered things like “The sky is blue.” or “Do you have new shoes?” I turned my bad ear to her, covering the other with my finger, and gently backed my finger out enough to be able to hear. I waited, and then came the seven words that changed my life forever: “I wish you were my little girl.”

When Mia DaPonte was young, she learned that her mother had become an Open Water Diver. Mia decided to become a diver, too. But the youngest one that can start training as a diver is 10 years old.
Once Mia came of age, she got serious. First, she got her Open Water Diver certificate (合格证书). Mia lives in Rhode Island, where the oceans are cold, and people usually can’t see very far. But she didn’t let that discourage her. It’s a rule that when one is diving, they should always have a companion — a second person working with them when diving. That was not getting along without difficulties. Mia did three dives in one day, including one deep dive down to 17.5 meters and she had to made her night dive. The hardest part of the course was showing that she could raise an injured grow-up diver to the surface and take the steps needed to help restart their breath.

Passage 11
(昆明市·高一下期末)
It is no secret that China has an amazingly rich history and culture. My first exposure (接触) to Chinese culture came totally by chance. One day, I entered my grandfather’s personal library and took a book named Tao Te Ching from one of the shelves. As an 8-year-old, the book’s content completely confused me, but it provided me with an early connection to a beautiful and great philosophical (哲学的) tradition that still influences me today.
Around this time, I also came across several cartoons heavily inspired by traditional Chinese culture and martial arts such as Avatar: The Last Airbender and Sagwa, the Chinese Siamese Cat. Both cartoons describe beautiful landscapes and buildings similar to those found in classical Chinese paintings. This further developed my love of the rich and beautiful culture.

Wu Wuliu, 24, recently uploaded a video in which he used artificial intelligence (AI) to create a digital image of his late grandmother on Bilibili. He posted the video to honor his grandmother, who died in January. Wu said his grandmother brought him up and they had a close relationship.
As a designer, Wu came up with the idea to “bring her back” by imitating (模仿) her appearance, voice, personality and memories through AI applications. He imported several photos of his grandmother into the programs to create a lifelike image, then uploaded her voice messages to imitate her voice and accent. Finally, he turned the AI language into conversations that might happen between him and his grandmother.
The “grandmother” can blink (眨眼), nod and even heartily laugh. When Wu asked her if she had prepared holiday goods for the Spring Festival, she said in dialect, “I bought two bottles of cooking oil and they smell good.” When Wu asked what she said to his father when she was alive, she said, “I told him not to drink too much and save money.” By “talking” with her, Wu said he could comfort himself from the pain of his loss. “From a psychological (心理学的) view, AI technology can better preserve the image and personality of late loved ones, providing comfort to those who are sad,” said Chen Zhilin, a national-level psychological adviser. “However, over-communicating with it should be avoided. Change is as good as a rest, as the old saying goes. Lucy Kellaway took this to extremes when she left to train as a teacher in her nearly sixth decade, after about 30 years working as a journalist.
Doing the same thing in the three decades was simply too long for her, according to Lucy. “I was no longer interested in my job and wanted to do something more useful and purposeful with my life, ”Lucy explains. “I was then aged fifty-seven and had spent almost my whole adult life doing one thing. ”
Lucy tried ringing the government’s helpline and discovered there was no maximum age restraint to train as a teacher. Then she met Katie Waldegrave, a social entrepreneur turned teacher, at a party. ”We met the following morning and talked and talked. We concluded that young graduates had long been the obvious recruiting (征募) into the profession. A new model for entering teaching was needed for career changers. By the time I left that conversation, Now Teach had probably been born, a professional online teacher training program for career-changers in teaching. ”
So successful was the program that it attracted the support of the Department for Education. Further state funding has seen the program rolled out across the country. “We’re delighted by its success. The best aspect of my job that the program brings me is that it makes me optimistic about the future and sometimes makes me feel I’m making a big difference to their lives. ”Lucy goes on, “We have helped 650 people with all sorts of backgrounds to bring their various experiences to secondary schools. ”
For anyone interested in teaching, Lucy tells them to experience school life first. “Go and visit two schools. Spend quality time in the classrooms of the subjects you think you may teach and find out if it seems right for you. You may not get it right at first. ”While Lucy loved her new career, she found teaching maths wasn’t her true calling, so she swapped to teaching economics instead.
53.Why did Lucy want to change her job?

Kelli Boehle says her son Nik was an amazing and caring person. Nik was diagnosed(诊断) with cancer in 2008 when he was 17. He passed away in 2012. But Nik’s kindness and generosity have lived on long after his death.

Over the years, George Frost, who is originally from London, has taught art in the Vocational Education Committee (VEC) and has had a number of exhibitions, including one at Cork Airport, which was a great success. For the elderly George, art is something he is crazy about. Art gets him up in the morning, and he often works a full day, painting in the studio in his home. His home in Cork City is full of paintings of landscapes, portraits and scenic spots, including an attractive description of Ross Castle in Killarney. His desire is to give lessons in it to senior citizens, preferably through the medium of television. His thinking is that TV art will attract a relatively big audience. Passage 20
(红河州、文山州·联考)
In the distant mountainous town of Yangla, Diqing, Yunnan province, Nasheng is devoted to providing healthcare to her villagers.
Nasheng graduated in Tibetan medicine from Qinghai University. Her passion for the field was fueled not only by a childhood interest in traditional Tibetan treatment but also by the healthcare challenges faced by her fellow villagers. “I saw how difficult it was for my family to gain medical treatment in inland areas—long journeys, language barriers, and cultural differences made it even harder,” she said, noting that many elderly villagers speak only Tibetan. This inspired her to study Tibetan medicine and return to serve her hometown.
When she arrived at the Yangla town health center in September 2021, she was struck by the isolation (隔绝) of the area. Although her hometown Yunling is in the same county, getting to Yangla takes a grueling seven-to-eight-hour drive. She had to cross Baima Snow Mountain and follow a winding path along the Jinsha River. Despite the challenges, she has never thought of giving up.
She clearly remembers her first patient—an elderly man with seriously deformed (变形的) joints—for whom she performed her first joint injection under her mentor’s guidance. That moment made her realize just how much she still needed to learn in order to truly help people. In 2024, she pursued further training at the Tibetan Traditional Hospital, where she specialized in therapies such as bloodletting and Tibetan stick therapy.

Passage 22
(楚雄州·高一下)
Some of the classrooms at Taft Elementary in Santa Clara, California, have one disadvantage in common: They don’t have windows. That’s true for Logan Earnest’s fifth grade classroom, and he felt it was affecting his students.
“Most of the day, they’re inside,” Earnest told CBS News. “And they don’t really get to see any trees, grass, or the blue sky.” He said the gray walls could be depressing to the kids and may affect their attention and even their attendance.
This was confirmed by former school psychologist Ernesto Rodriguez, who said the lack of windows does affect kids, because research shows being in and around nature eases anxiety and benefits students. Though no longer a practicing psychologist, perhaps he knows now more than ever the impact nature has on mental health. Rodriguez became a park ranger (公园管理员) on Southern California’s Catalina Island and began focusing on his passion—landscape photography.
It was during his training to become a park ranger that he learned a fact that kids who have views out windows to trees do better academically, emotionally and creatively. So an idea to bring nature into rooms occurred to him: Why not bring landscapes in classrooms—via the ceiling (天花板), because teachers don’t typically use them.
Rodriguez took 360 degree shots of tree canopies (树冠) using his photography skills, then he printed them and fit them onto the classroom ceiling of Earnest’s fifth grade. “Beautiful,”one student said as she entered the room. Another student said the trees brought him peace, “When you look up, it feels like you’re sitting under a tree.”
Earnest said he thought there would be many positive effects on his students. “I think my attendance is going to go up. The kids are going to want to come here more frequently. Overall, I think the kids are going to be happier,” he said.

I should have written this long ago. How time flies! Hunter was the finest dog I had ever raised. We shared thousands of miles on the trail (小径). Everyone who ever met him fell in love with him.
1.Why did the author get to the foster home?
A.To save a poor dog. B.To buy some bread.

Passage 2

8.What do we know about the people waiting at Kingsdown?
A.Most of them were from America.

On the final day, the fair was crowded. People came not just to buy, but to remember. As Mrs. Jennings shared her last jar of honey, the organizer announced a surprise. “To honor the history here, a corner of the new center will be named ‘Harvest Square,’ where Mrs. Jennings’ story and photos will be displayed.”
Mrs. Jennings felt a warmth spread through her. It wasn’t a victory against change, but a balance. The physical fair was ending, but its spirit would continue in a new form. She held Lucy’s hand, realizing that traditions could evolve, and memories could find new homes.

D.They promise to hold a secret fair every year.
12.What does Mrs. Jennings finally realize at the end of the story?

Passage 4
(昭通市·第一中学教研联盟)
When Anthony Madu dances, he “feels free”.
At 14 years old, the Nigerian ballet dancer’s life became the subject of the Disney documentary (纪录片) “Madu”. Before the film came out, Madu spoke in a news program to discuss his story. In 2020, at just 11 years old, Anthony went viral after his dance teacher posted a video of his doing pirouettes (单脚尖旋转) barefoot in the rain in the street. The video caught the attention of director Matthew Ogens. Then he invited Anthony to be a member in his company. “I was ready for it,” Anthony says of sharing his story with the world. “But then at the same time, kind of scared because it’s something that’s going to be out into the world and people watching it.”
Despite being made fun of by some people for dancing ballet and the worry from his parents, Anthony continued and his family eventually accepted his dream. They relocated to a new neighborhood so he could get formal training.
First, he received a scholarship offer from the American Ballet Theatre. Later, he earned a scholarship from the famous Elmhurst Ballet School, where he’s presently studying.
Anthony’s determination to become a professional ballet dancer was soon challenged. During a dance class, Madu told an instructor that he had trouble seeing and it’s later showed that he’s largely blind in his right eye. Despite feeling that his eye may “end” his career, Madu wants viewers to be inspired by his story. “What I want people to take away is that no matter what they want to do in life, they shouldn’t let any bad comments and people get in the way,” he says. “Because at the end of the day, it’s their choice, it’s what they want to do, and they should just really go for it. Never give up.”
13.Which of the following can replace the underlined word “viral” in paragraph 2?
A.ill B.frightened C.famous D.impatient
14.How did Anthony feel about filming the documentary “Madu”?
A.Cheerful and positive. B.Eager but nervous.
C.Confident but modest. D.Doubtful and uninterested.
15.What kind of help did Anthony’s parents give him?
A.Ask the teacher to raise money for Anthony B.Accepted Anthony’s dream.
C.Relocated to a new neighborhood. D.Both B and C.
16.What message does Anthony want readers to get through his story?
A.Keep firm against the pressure to meet others’ expectations.
B.Pursue your dreams and ignore bad comments.
C.Stick to your dream regardless of your physical disabilities.
D.Be open-minded to bad comments.
原文“In 2020, at just 11 years old, Anthony went viral after his dance teacher posted a video of his doing pirouettes (单脚尖旋转) barefoot in the rain in the street. The video caught the attention of director Matthew Ogens. (2020年,年仅11岁的Anthony在他的舞蹈老师发布了一段他在雨中赤脚在街上做脚尖旋转的视频后,迅速 。这段视频引起了导演马修·奥根斯的注意。)”提到Anthony的视频引起了导演的注意。因此,可推断该视频迅速走红,所以“viral”在此处的意思是“广泛传播的”或“爆红的”,与“famous”(著名的)意思最接近。故选C。
14.推理判断题。根据第二段““I was ready for it,” Anthony says of sharing his story with the world. “But then at the same time, kind of scared because it’s something that’s going to be out into the world and people watching it.” (“我已经准备好了,” Anthony在谈到与世界分享他的故事时说。“但与此同时,我又有点害怕,因为这是一件即将被公之于众的事情,人们会看着它。”)”表明他既准备好了(渴望分享故事),又感到害怕(紧张)。因此,B选项“渴望但紧张”最符合文意。故选B。
15.细节理解题。根据第三段“Despite being made fun of by some people for dancing ballet and the worry from his parents, Anthony continued and his family eventually accepted his dream. They relocated to a new neighborhood so he could get formal training. (尽管因为跳芭蕾而被一些人取笑,父母也很担心,但Anthony坚持了下来,他的家人最终接受了他的梦想。他们搬到了一个新的社区,这样他就可以接受正式的培训。)”可知父母最终接受了他的梦想(对应B选项),并且为了让他接受正规训练,全家搬到了新社区(对应C选项)。因此,D选项(B和C的结合)是正确答案。故选D。
16.推理判断题。根据最后一段““What I want people to take away is that no matter what they want to do in life, they shouldn’t let any bad comments and people get in the way,” he says. “Because at the end of the day, it’s their choice, it’s what they want to do, and they should just really go for it. Never give up.” (他说:“我希望人们学到的是,无论他们想在生活中做什么,他们都不应该让任何不好的评论和人阻碍他们。” “因为在一天结束的时候,这是他们的选择,这是他们想做的,他们应该真的去做。永远不要放弃。” )”可知Anthony强调“不要让他人的负面评论阻碍自己,坚持追求梦想”,所以B选项(追求梦想,无视负面)最贴合。故选B。
It has taught me the importance of patience, perseverance, and self-expression. Now, when I look at Chinese characters, I see not just their beauty but also the stories and emotions they hold within.
17.What inspired the author to learn Chinese calligraphy?
A.Its popularity in modern Chinese society.
B.The simple process of mastering basic techniques.
C.The beauty and historical depth of Chinese characters.
D.A requirement for living in China.
18.Which calligraphy style is used in modern Chinese writing?
A.Standard script. B.Grass script.
C.Oracle bone script. D.Running script.
19.What was the author’s challenge in learning calligraphy?
A.Understanding historical scripts. B.Having trouble keeping the right posture and balance.
C.Interpreting the rhythm of strokes (笔画节奏). D.Finding time for practice.
20.According to the text, what does Chinese calligraphy fundamentally express?
A.Technical perfection in writing. B.Speed and efficiency of creation.
C.The spirit and emotions behind characters D.Strict adherence (坚持) to traditional rules.

19.细节理解题。由第三段中“It was challenging to keep the correct posture and balance while writing, and I found myself tired after hours of practice.(在写作时保持正确的姿势和平衡是一项挑战,经过数小时的练习,我发现自己很累)”可知,难以保持适当的姿势和平衡让作者在早期尝试中国书法时受到挑战。故选B项。

25.Why did the two men help each other cut their clothes?

Passage 8
29.What does the underlined phrase “teasing about” in paragraph 1 mean?
A.Looking into. B.Caring about. C.Arguing over. D.Laughing at.
30.Why did the author worry about the hearing test?
A.She didn’t want to make her disability public.
B.She couldn’t understand the teacher’s words.

Passage 9
(楚雄彝族自治州·高一下期末)
When Mia DaPonte was young, she learned that her mother had become an Open Water Diver. Mia decided to become a diver, too. But the youngest one that can start training as a diver is 10 years old.
Once Mia came of age, she got serious. First, she got her Open Water Diver certificate (合格证书). Mia lives in Rhode Island, where the oceans are cold, and people usually can’t see very far. But she didn’t let that discourage her. It’s a rule that when one is diving, they should always have a companion — a second person working with them when diving. Mia’s mother decided to take all the courses Mia was taking to be her companion.
Mia completed 78 dives — far more than the 50 needed to become a Master Scuba Diver. But Mia had to wait for her last two courses — Advanced Open Water Diver and Rescue Diver. That’s because one has to be at least 12 years old to earn these certificates.
Over the week before her birthday, Mia did most of the training required for the last two courses and she passed the Advanced Open Water course on her birthday. The next day, when she was officially 12, Mia finished the Rescue Diver course.
That was not getting along without difficulties. Mia did three dives in one day, including one deep dive down to 17.5 meters and she had to made her night dive. The hardest part of the course was showing that she could raise an injured grow-up diver to the surface and take the steps needed to help restart their breath.
Mia says she feels proud to have become a Master Scuba Diver. But she doesn’t plan to stop there. She’s interested in getting more training as a diver. In the future, she hopes to become a marine (海的) biologist.
33.What made Mia’s mother take the same diving courses?

B.Setting a good example for Mia.
C.Watching over Mia’s training process.
D.Being Mia’s diving partner as required.
34.Why was Mia unable to become a Master Scuba Diver according to paragraph 3?
A.She couldn’t see far in the sea.
B.She didn’t have a companion.
C.She didn’t finish the dives that were needed.

Passage 11
At school I began studying Chinese. My interest in the language developed early on, combining my love of travelling with my love of meeting new people. Later on, my interest in the language developed into exploring widespread Chinese culture. I wanted to challenge myself in a totally new linguistic (语言的) landscape and listen to the lives and stories of others in their own language. Passage 14
(楚雄州·高一下期末)

Passage 21
(普洱市·高一下)
I loved being a teacher, but for years I was a librarian. However, the timing was never right for me to go back to school. I spent a lot of time learning, acquiring professional knowledge and skills. Finally, I received my media specialist degree. But my biggest challenge was yet to come. I wanted to find a job — a media specialist in a nearby elementary school, but those positions were hard to get.
The new school year started, and I was still working in the school library. As the months passed from August to December without any job prospects (前景), my optimism and faith began to decline. To stay positive, I listened repeatedly to several uplifting songs in the car to my son’s school and my job.
In the beginning of January, I saw a job posted online for a media specialist position. I knew I had to have faith, so I applied for the job, but I didn’t hear anything for weeks. I started to doubt myself. I played my uplifting music so much that my little son who knew the words would sing along. Admiring the dynamic state of my son, suddenly I came to realize that I just had to have faith and remain true to my dream.
Within days, I received a phone call from the school to which I had applied, requesting an interview. I went on the interview with confidence and faith. The result was unforgettable. I am proud to say I’m now a media specialist.
From my experience, what I want to share is that ambitious career aspiration is a strong drive for one’s development. Set your goal of life and follow it with all you can.

Passage 22
85.What is the common challenge shared by some classrooms at Taft Elementary?
A.Lack of fresh air. B.Absence of windows.
C.Insufficient lighting. D.Limited access to technology.
86.Why did Ernesto Rodriguez bring landscapes into classrooms?
A.To connect the students with nature.
B.To promote his photography skills.
C.To improve the teachers’ performance.
D.To create an exciting environment for the students.
87.How did the students react to Rodriguez’s pictures on the classroom ceiling?
A.They did not notice the change.
B.They failed to concentrate on lessons.
C.They preferred the original gray ceiling.
D.They were in favour of the new additions.
88.What’s Logan Earnest’s attitude towards the change in the classroom?
