【参考范文】
范文一 基础版:Changes in My Hometown
Great changes have taken place in my hometown in the past twenty years.
In the past, the roads here were narrow and dirty. People mainly walked or rode old bikes to go out. There were no big hospitals or modern libraries. Many young people left to work in big cities because life was hard here. The environment was also bad, and sandstorms often came.
Now everything is different. The government built wide highways and new bridges. We can take buses or cars to travel around. New hospitals and libraries stand in the town. More young people come back to start their own business. Farmers use modern greenhouses to grow fruits and vegetables. The hills are full of green trees, and the air is fresh all year round. People's lives become rich and comfortable.
Lots of things have changed, but one thing stays the same. The warm friendship and love between neighbors never disappear. I love my lovely hometown.
Changes Bring a Better Life
When I talk about changes, I always think of my hometown. It has turned into a beautiful and lively place.
Years ago, travelling was a big problem. It would take people a whole day to get to the nearest town. People had to walk a long way to see a doctor, and there were few places for shopping. Farmland was affected by sandstorms, and local people lived a simple and difficult life.
With the support of the government, people here worked hard to make improvements. They planted plenty of trees and bushes to protect the soil. New roads and public buildings were built one after another. Now it only takes a short time to go anywhere. We have complete medical service and various shops. What's more, our village has become a famous tourist attraction. Villagers sell local products online and make more money.
Life is changing all the time, but the happiness from a warm family will always be with us. I am proud of all the changes, and I believe my hometown will become more wonderful in the future.

1
The following passages are taken from The Diary of Anne Frank. Between 1942 and 1944; during the World War II, the Jewish girl lived in Amsterdam hiding with her family.
July 8, 1942
Margot, my sister, looked very nervous. “Father has received a call-up notice from Nazi police,” she said. I was shocked. A call-up. Everyone knows what that means. Pictures of concentration camps (集中营) raced through my mind. “Of course, he’s not going,” said Margot. “Mother has gone to see Mr van Daan (a good friend of father’s) to ask whether we can move to our hiding place tomorrow...” We couldn’t speak. The long wait for mother, the heat and the uncertainty—all this led to silence.
July 9, 1942
Here’s a description of the building. A wooden staircase leads from the downstairs hallway to the third floor. At the top of the stairs is a landing, with doors on either side. The door on the left takes you up to the spice (香料) storage area and the attic (阁楼) in the front part of the house. The other door leads to the Secret Annex at the back of the house. No one would ever suspect there was such a wonderful hiding place behind that common grey door!
October 9, 1942
Today, I have nothing but sad news to report. Many of our Jewish friends are being taken away. The Nazi secret police are sending them to Westerbork, the big camp in Drenthe. It must be terrible in Westerbork. The people get almost nothing to eat, and much less to drink, as water is available for only one hour a day. And there’s only one toilet for several thousand people. Men and women sleep in the same room...I feel terrible.

A.The uncertainty of their future.
B.The long wait for her mother’s return.
C.The fear of being away from her family.
D.The fear that her father might be sent to a concentration camp.
2.The underlined word “suspect” (in Paragraph 3) is closest in meaning to “________”.
A.complain B.guess C.hope D.remember
3.According to Anne’s diary, Westerbork must be terrible because of its ________
① poor medical services ② extreme heat inside the room
③ shortage of food and water ④ uncomfortable living environment
A.①②③ B.③④ C.①③④ D.②④
4.Anne’s feelings in the three diaries are ________
A.shocked and worried—relieved (庆幸的) —sad and helpless
B.shocked and angry—relieved—sad and helpless
C.shocked and worried—lonely—sad and angry
D.shocked and angry—curious (好奇的)—sad and impatient

What do you want to say to your future self?
Liu Yixin Posted 2 hours ago
I want to tell my future self: don’t give up playing the piano! I started when I was seven. Life may get busy, but music makes life rich. I also hope I get into my dream school. But if I don’t, that’s okay too. Happiness and health matter more than anything. Give yourself a big hug!
Li Zhaoyan Posted 1 hour ago
I hope my future self still writes songs. Music helps me feel better when life gets noisy. I don’t want to live a meaningless life. I also hope I am happy. Life may have challenges, but I need to accept who I am and cherish what I have. Remember: no one is perfect!

There is no doubt that the world will be a very different place in 2045. So what’s going to happen then? It’s pretty likely that robots and AI technology will change a lot of industries. Also, self-driving and flying cars will come into our daily life, bringing us much convenience. However, scientists have even bigger ideas. In a video series called Forward to the Future, three researchers predicted (预测) what they imagined would be reality in 2045.
Dr Justin Sanchez believes we’ll be at a point where we can control things simply by using our mind. “Imagine a world where you could just use your thoughts to control your environment,” Justin said. According to him, experts are working on certain technologies that can make this happen. They’ve made some progress already.
The future has more than just that. “Many other exciting things could change the building and other objects around us,” says Stefanie Tompkins. “We’ll be able to build things that are very strong but also lightweight (轻型的). We don’t even know the materials around us,” she predicted.
Pam Melroy believes we’re going to find that we have a very different relationship with the machines around us. “I think we’re going to begin to see when we’re able to control a machine just by saying some simple words,” she said. For example, right now to land a plane safely, a pilot has to go through many steps in the right order. But in 2045, in Pam’s words, a pilot may just need to say the words “prepare for landing”. Then the computer knows the steps it needs to take. Or perhaps, with AI, a pilot won’t even be necessary.
8.What will people be able to do according to Dr Justin Sanchez?
A.Fly without airplanes. B.Build houses quickly.
C.Talk to animals. D.Control things by using their mind.
9.What does Stefanie Tompkins say about future materials?
A.They will be very heavy. B.They will be strong and light.
C.They will be very cheap. D.They will look like wood.
10.How might pilots control planes in 2045 according to Pam Melroy?
A.By writing instructions. B.By using body language.
C.By drawing pictures. D.By saying some simple words.
11.What is the main purpose of the passage?
A.To introduce a video series about the future.
B.To describe how robots will change the world.
C.To share scientists’ predictions about life in 2045.
D.To explain how to control machines by using your mind.

The world of work will likely look very different by the time the present generation of kids finishes their education. Experts have predicted that the improved technology, especially artificial intelligence (AI) will change the way humans work in the future.
Professor Tony Ryan said that AI will transform the future workforce across every industry, making some jobs outdated while creating others. While some jobs could be replaced by robots, others will still need a human touch. Ryan said jobs requiring “love and connection”, such as teaching, social work and nursing, would continue to be needed in the future.
“We need to be careful that we shouldn’t get so obsessed (着迷) with the technology that we allow it to take our humanity.” He said. The University of South Australia’s Professor David Cropley said that technology would shape the careers of today’s kids as AI products continued to develop. “However, I don’t think this will simply replace humans in the world of work, instead, I see them as human assistants.” For example, in the medical consultation (咨询), AI might provide support like analyzing patients’ data, and scanning medical images, but the key interaction with the patient and final diagnosis (诊断) need to be done by human doctors.
“The automation (自动化) and AI, as good as they might be, are still just nice tools.” Professor Cropley said. “Hammers and saws didn’t displace carpenters (木工), they just made the job easier and improved productivity for the human.”
“Critical and creative thinkers with skills in science, technology, engineering and mathematics would also be in high demand by the 2050s.” He said.
12.According to Tony Ryan, which of the following jobs is not likely to be replaced by robots?
A.Bank clerk. B.Factory worker.
C.Computer programmer. D.Primary school teacher.
13.What does the underlined word “it” in paragraph3 refer to?
A.Nursing. B.Teaching. C.Technology. D.Humanity.
14.What does Professor David Cropley think of AI products?
A.Create their own world. B.Replace the humans.
C.Be humans’ assistants. D.Be critical and creative thinkers.
15.What is the main purpose of this text?
A.To advertise new AI products for the workplace.
B.To warn people about the possible dangers of AI.
C.To criticize schools for not teaching enough about AI.
D.To explain how AI changes work but can’t replace people.
16.Where is this text most likely taken from?
A.A travel guide. B.A technology magazine. C.A cookbook. D.A sports report.

One warm afternoon last spring, I was walking through a city park. At the corner of a grassy field, a group of women in their late 50s caught my eye. With plastic bags hanging from their arms, they moved slowly through the grass, searching for something. “What are they doing?” I wondered.
Interested, I walked over for a closer look. One of the women looked up and laughed, “See? Wild shepherd’s purse (荠菜)!”
“Shepherd’s purse? Here in this park?” I asked, looking around in surprise.
“Ah, you young guys know nothing about this,” the woman replied. Then, she moved to a small plant with toothed leaves just behind me. I looked at the plant and scratched (挠) my head. Maybe she was right. Young people don’t know much about any of this.
But who hasn’t heard of this trend (趋势)? Every spring for the past several years, digging for wild edible (可食用的) plants has been all over social media. However, many of us know little about these plants. Take shepherd’s purse, for example. I eat it almost every spring as part of my dumpling fillings. But without much experience in cooking or shopping, I have no idea what my food looks like before it’s cut up and cooked.
We aren’t robots, and eating shouldn’t feel like charging (充电): To make eating a truly human experience, we need to roll up our sleeves (袖子) sometimes. Instead of buying ready-to-cook dumplings, we could buy some meat, shepherd’s purse and dumpling skins, and learn to make those dumplings by hand. What about digging for wild edible plants? It could be a wonderful experience, but I think I’ll find a guide before I get my hands dirty!
17.What were the women doing in the park?
A.Taking a walk. B.Having a picnic.
C.Looking for wild plants. D.Collecting plastic bags.
18.Why did the author feel surprised when hearing about shepherd’s purse?
A.Because he believed it was harmful.
B.Because he had never eaten it before.
C.Because he thought it was old people’s favorite.
D.Because he didn’t expect it to grow in a city park.
19.What can we know about the author from Paragraph 5?
A.He knows little about wild plants.
B.He has rich experience in cooking.
C.He hates the trend of digging for wild plants.
D.He goes shopping with his family every week.
20.What’s the author’s attitude towards buying ready-to-cook food?
A.Supportive. B.Hopeful. C.Doubtful. D.Certain.
21.Which is the best title for the passage?
A.Eating like a Human B.Digging in the Spring
C.The Mystery of Wild Plants D.The Fun of Eating Wild Plants

People in many countries miss the “good old days”. When asked if life today is better than 50 years ago, 31% of British people, 41% of Americans and 46% of French people say it is worse.
But were the good old days really good? An American named Jason Feifer asked this question. Many people thought America was great in the 1950s, but historians said no. In the 1950s, there were serious racial problems against Black people, and everyone feared nuclear war with other countries.
In fact, people have missed the good old days for at least 5,000 years. Why? For one thing, we know that we went through dangers, but we are not sure about solving today’s problems. For another, people’s love for the past comes from their own life experiences. A US study found people love the time when they were young most.
Certainly, some things were better in the past. But our love for the good old days can mislead us. It may stop new changes that push the world forward. For example, vaccines, steam engines and electricity all met strong public disagreement when they first appeared. Today we also have mixed feelings about new things like Little Red Book or Douyin. Not all fears about the future are wrong. New technologies can cause problems. But the best way to use new technologies and lower risks is to keep trying. The future will not be perfect but ▲ .
22.Why does the writer show those numbers in the beginning?
A.To explain why people miss the good old days a lot.
B.To lead into the idea that today is worse than the past.
C.To support that many people miss the good old days.
D.To show the difference between today and old days.
23.What can we infer from the passage?
A.Humans are usually afraid of being uncertain.
B.America only had problems from the outside.
C.People’s love for the past is about experiences.
D.People aren’t able to solve today’s problems.
24.How did people feel about electricity when it first appeared?
A.Excited. B.Unfriendly. C.Thankful. D.Interested.
25.Which of the following is the best for “ ▲ ”?
A.let’s remember the good old days B.we should keep looking forward
C.bring more chances to young people D.make people forget past experiences

It was a rainy Sunday afternoon. I was sitting in my room, feeling bored. I had planned to go out and meet my friends, but the bad weather had ruined (毁坏) my plans. I decided to look through some old photo albums. As I turned the pages, I saw pictures of my family’s past vacations, birthday parties, and other happy moments. There was one photo that caught my eye. It was a picture of me and my grandfather standing in a beautiful garden. The sun was shining, and we were both smiling brightly.
My grandfather had passed away a few years before, and I really missed him. I remembered how he used to take me to that garden every weekend. He would show me all the different kinds of flowers and teach me about their names and characteristics. He told me that beauty was everywhere if we just took the time to look for it.
Suddenly, I heard a knock on the door. It was my dad. He said, “Hey, why don’t we go for a walk in the rain? It can be fun.” I was a bit surprised and didn’t really want to go, but I didn’t want to disappoint him. So I went out with him.
As we walked along the street, I noticed the raindrops falling on the leaves of the trees, making them look shiny and fresh. As we walked deeper into the park, I saw something amazing. The raindrops had formed little waterfalls on the branches of a willow tree (柳树). The drops were falling one by one, creating a beautiful and peaceful scene.
I realized that my grandfather was right. Even on a rainy day, there was beauty all around us. By the time we got home, I was no longer feeling bored. I was actually glad that the rain had stopped me from going out with my friends because I had discovered a new kind of beauty.
26.What did the writer’s grandfather use to do with him?
A.Read books about nature with him.
B.Take him to the park to play football every weekend.
C.Teach him how to take photos in the garden.
D.Show him different flowers and teach him about them.
27.How did the writer’s feelings change in the story?
A.Bored→surprised→glad. B.Bored→glad→surprised.
C.Surprised→bored→glad. D.Glad→bored→surprised.
28.What does the writer want to tell us in the text?
A.Friends are as important as family.
B.Staying at home is a better choice.
C.We can enjoy nature by walking in the rain.
D.Beauty can be found everywhere if we take time to look for it.

A long time ago, people were very different from the way we are now. For example, if you find a really old house somewhere, you’ll see that the doors are usually much lower than they are today. Why? Because hundreds of years ago, people were shorter. Over time, the human body changes to get used to a new way of life.
Can we expect the human body to change in the future? For sure. And the main reason is that we have more and more technology, and it is changing how we live.
What kind of changes can we expect? Well, no one can be 100% sure, but here are some possibilities.
1. Let’s start with the example above. Humans are now 10cm taller than 150 years ago. So, in the future, people will probably be even taller. Most of us now have much better food than people in the past, and so we grow more.
2. We’ll get weaker in more than one way. The most important way is that our muscles (肌肉) will not be as strong as now because we won’t do a lot of physical work.
3. We are already using our feet less, and our hands more (think about computers and tablets and so on). So we can expect that our legs will get shorter and our feet smaller, and at the same time, our fingers will get longer. And our fingers and our eyes will both get better, because they’ll have to do more work together.
4. Now, what about the mouth? It’ll get smaller, perhaps, because technological improvements will mean that we don’t need to talk so much—and also because our teeth will get smaller (so mouths don’t need to be so big to keep them in).
5. Here’s a good one—it’s very possible that people will have four toes (脚趾), not five. The little toe really isn’t needed any more (people who lose them don’t miss them), so it will probably disappear sometime in the future.
6. And last but not least—people won’t have as much hair on their bodies as now, as we don’t need it to keep ourselves warm anymore.
Will all these things happen? And if so, when? These are questions that no one can answer for sure.
29.What will NOT happen to humans in the future according to the passage?
A.People will be much taller. B.People’s muscles will be weaker.

What will the world of tomorrow look like? The Straits Times, a Singapore-based newspaper, invited some local children to let their imaginations run wild---and they certainly didn’t hold back!
Big Ideas for Tomorrow
Olivia Li: Every family will have a remote-controlled (可遥控的) airplane. These planes will take us anywhere we want in just a few minutes.
Eton Wang: In the future, most jobs will be done by robots, so people will need to work for only five minutes a day. For the rest of the day, they can play with their children or relax and watch their favorite shows.
Betty Chen: In the future, there will be a robot chef at home that cooks my favorite dishes and serves them right in my dining room.
Noah Zhu: Jet planes will replace cars. Students will fly to school, and their parents will parachute (用降落伞空投) them onto the playground!
Jude Huang: There will be a smart bedside cabinet with voice control that stores water, milk, coffee beans and tea leaves inside. It will make and deliver your favorite drink, whether it’s a latte (拿铁咖啡) or milk tea, when you ask for it while lying in bed!
Callen Tan: In the future, airplanes will be made of plastic. They will turn transparent (透明的) once they’re in the sky, giving passengers a better view of the clouds during the day and the stars at night. Long flights will no longer feel dull.
Timothy Chow: Our houses will become moving cable cars (缆车). They will travel from place to place so that every morning when we wake up, we’ll be greeted by a different scene outside the window.

Have you ever forgotten to lock the door of your house? Or, have you ever forgotten to turn off the TV or computer? These things happen to us all the time, waste resources, and can sometimes lead to problems. However, in the near future, we will live in smart homes that lock the door for us when we are away and turn off the TV when we forget. These smart homes will keep us safe, save energy, and provide a comfortable living environment.
Intelligent Controls
Today, we use switches (开关) for lights, and remote controls for TVs and air conditioners. In the future, advanced technology will enable automatic control of just about everything in our home. The home will use integrated sensors to tell when you leave each morning, and then go into an energy-efficient mode by itself. You will no longer have to turn switches on and off yourself.
Your home will also learn your daily routine (惯例) and preferences, so it will make everything ready for you when you get home each evening. Your lights will come as soon as you enter, along with your favourite music or TV programmes, and your dinner will be already prepared. All controls will respond to voice commands. If you want to change your routine, just say aloud what you want and the system will obey.
Regular Health Checks
In addition, your smart home will monitor your health every day. Your bed, for example, will record your sleep quality and check your body weight. If you have sleep or weight problems, it will send a warning to your phone and give you suggestions on a healthier diet and better sleep. Smart toilets will also track your health. They can warn you early if there is something abnormal (异常的) or if you have a critical illness, such as cancer, and potentially save your life.
No More Disasters
Smart homes will prevent serious damage from accidents. For example, if there is water on the floor from a broken pipe, or if there is a problem with the electrical wiring, your smart home will find it and give useful information. This way, you can fix the problem before your home floods or catches fire. This smart technology is not a fantasy.
Many of these new innovations are used in some homes. The home of tomorrow is already here today. Nevertheless, it will take some years before most new homes use this technology.
37.Why does the writer ask two questions at the start?
A.To list rules for using smart homes.
B.To explain how to buy a smart home.
C.To share his own stories about smart homes.
D.To introduce the problems smart homes solve.
38.What does the underlined word “it” in Para.3 refer to?
A.Your smart home. B.Your home lights. C.Your daily routine. D.Your favourite music.
39.What can a smart bed do for people’s health?
A.Play music and change TV programmes. B.Give suggestions on using new technology.
C.Warn people of serious illnesses like cancer. D.Record sleep quality and check body weight.
40.What can smart homes do when a pipe breaks?
A.They can clean up the water quickly. B.They can tell you about the problem.
C.They can turn off the water right away. D.They can fix the problem by themselves.
41.What is the best title for the passage?
A.Smart Homes to Make Life Easier B.The Advantages of Modern Homes
C.How Smart Homes Help with Health D.New Ways to Make Our Homes Better

Come and share your thoughts on living on the moon!
My favorite saying goes, “________” We should keep this spirit and never stop exploring the moon, because it can bring great advantages to China. We won’t depend so much on the Earth’s limited resources, since we can develop new energy on the moon. Besides, it can provide more living space for people as our Earth becomes too crowded. So let’s move forward bravely for a new and bright future on the moon. (Xinyi, Xichang)
Yes. It would be exciting to go to space by rocket, as you’d rocket off the ground really fast! Once you land on the lunar surface, where gravity (重力) is only one-sixth that of the Earth’s, you’ll surprisingly find yourself able to float (漂浮) around freely and lift super-heavy things easily—something you could only dream of doing on Earth. Best of all, with no thick atmosphere (大气层) to block your sight, you could admire the shining Earth and bright stars in the silent sea of space. (Leo In, Toulouse)
My friend Susan and I love enjoying the beautiful moon together at night, but if humans live on the moon, we’ll no longer be able to appreciate such beauty. Building homes and sending food and water there would cost billions too. On top of that, the moon’s atmosphere is too thin to support human life, which means we’d need even more money to create a livable environment. So I think we should solve today’s problems on Earth first, like world hunger. (Kate DeBusk, Greeley)
42.In which part of the online newspaper can we read the material?
A.THE WORLD B.FOR OR AGAINST?
C.TECHNOLOGY D.STAR STORIES
43.What is Xinyi’s favorite saying?
A.The grass is always greener on the other side.
B.A journey of a thousand miles begins with every single step.
C.A craftsman who wishes to do his work well must first sharpen his tools.
D.The road ahead is long and has no ending; I’ll search high and low with my will unbending.
44.What is the best part of living on the moon for Leo?
A.Floating around freely. B.Lifting heavy things easily.
C.Watching the Earth and stars. D.Rocketing off the ground fast.
45.According to Kate, what should humans focus on first?
A.Building more homes. B.Solving world hunger.
C.Finding new energy. D.Making more rockets.
46.Who believes that exploring the moon can help with Earth’s limited resources and space?
A.Xinyi. B.Leo. C.Susan. D.Kate.

Kristy and her mom just moved to the house. She was exploring her new house when she found an old photo.
“Look,” Kristy smiled up from an old photo. “It says, Mabel beside Monarch Lake, summer 1910.” said Kristy as she held up the photo.
“I read that Mabel and her family used to live in this house, and then her kids and grandkids lived here after that.” said Kristy’s mother.
“Oh, here’s Mrs. Stevens—right on time! She agreed to look after you while I’m at work.”
As Mrs. Stevens sat down, Kristy showed her the photo of Mabel.
“Did you know her, Mrs. Stevens?” asked Kristy.
“Ah, Mabel Black. She once said Monarch Lake was her favorite place in the world.” said Mrs. Stevens.
“But where was Monarch Lake, and why was it so special?” asked Kristy.
“Oh, I never asked…” Mrs. Stevens replied.
Monarch Lake became a mystery (谜) for Kristy.
The next morning, Kristy went to the library to learn about Monarch Lake. She looked at maps. They showed streets and houses, but no lakes. She also searched online, and found nothing about it.
Back home, Kristy was looking at the yard when she suddenly had an idea. She ran to get the old photo. In the picture, she saw a church tower behind some small trees. It looked just like the tower she could see from her own backyard!
“The photo was taken here!” she shouted. But where was the lake? Kristy was confused (疑惑).
That night, it rained hard. The next morning, Kristy looked out her window and saw something wonderful. She ran downstairs to her mom.
“Shh,” her mom smiled, pointing to the garden.
The rain had made a small puddle (水坑) in the middle of the flowers. Many monarch butterflies (帝王蝶) were flying around it. How magical it was!
Now Kristy understood! Monarch Lake was not a big lake—it was this special little puddle for butterflies.
47.Where did Kristy find the old photo?
A.In the library. B.In her new house.
C.At Mrs. Stevens’ home. D.Beside Monarch Lake.
48.Why did Monarch Lake become a mystery for Kristy?
A.Because her mom refused to talk about it with her.
B.Because she couldn’t find Mrs. Stevens to ask for help.
C.Because the photo of Mabel didn’t show Monarch Lake.
D.Because no one knew where it was and why it was special.
49.What helped Kristy know the photo was taken near her house?
A.The flowers in the yard. B.The map from the library.
C.The puddle after the rain. D.The church tower in the photo.
50.Look at the mind map. Which of the following can be put in ▲ ?
A.upset; seeing the “Monarch Lake” B.proud; seeing the small puddle
C.angry; watering beautiful flowers D.bored; looking at the butterflies

1.What is the direct reason for Anne’s shock in the first diary?

C.People’s mouths will get bigger. D.People’s fingers will get longer.
30.Which of the following is TRUE according to the passage?
A.People need to talk more in the future.
B.People will have more hair on their bodies.
C.People now are 10 cm shorter than 150 years ago.
D.People will probably have four toes in the future.
31.What is the main idea of the passage?
A.The history of old houses and doors.
B.How to keep healthy in the future.
C.How technology changes people’s life.
D.Possible changes of human bodies in the future.

34.According to Jude Huang, the smart bedside cabinet can ________.
A.store clothes and toys for kids B.make different drinks when asked C.show the weather forecast on the screen D.wake people up with soft music every morning
35.What can we infer from the children’s ideas?
A.They hope future life will be more convenient and fun. B.They are worried about the development of new technology.
C.They think robots will take over all jobs in the future. D.They believe houses will stop moving in the future.
36.Which of the following is NOT mentioned in the passage?
A.A robot chef that serves food in the dining room.
B.Transparent airplanes with a clear view of the sky.
C.Self-driving cars that can fly students to school.

A.In the library. B.In her new house.
C.At Mrs. Stevens’ home. D.Beside Monarch Lake.
48.Why did Monarch Lake become a mystery for Kristy?

【解析】本文是一篇日记节选,主要记录了二战期间犹太少女Anne Frank一家躲藏生活的片段,展现了她面对战争与迫害时的恐惧、不安与对未来的期盼。
1.根据第一篇日记(July 8, 1942)中“Father has received a call-up notice from Nazi police...I was shocked. A call-up. Everyone knows what that means. Pictures of concentration camps raced through my mind.”可知,Anne震惊的原因是父亲收到了纳粹警察的征召通知,这让她联想到了集中营,即父亲可能被送往集中营的恐惧。
2.根据第二篇日记(July 9, 1942)中“No one would ever suspect there was such a wonderful hiding place behind that common grey door!”可知,这句话意为“没人会猜到那扇普通的灰色门后有一个极好的藏身之处”。划线词所在句描述秘密藏身点的隐蔽性,suspect在此处意为“怀疑、猜到”,与guess意思最接近。
3.根据第三篇日记(October 9, 1942)中描述Westerbork的情况:“The people get almost nothing to eat, and much less to drink...only one toilet for several thousand people. Men and women sleep in the same room”可知,文中提到了食物和水的短缺以及居住环境的不舒适。
4.综合三篇日记的情感色彩:第一篇提到“shocked”和“uncertainty”,表现为震惊和担忧(shocked and worried);第二篇描述了隐蔽所的精妙,暗示找到藏身之处的庆幸(relieved);第三篇提到“sad news”和“I feel terrible”,表现为悲伤和无助(sad and helpless)。

How to Prepare for an AI World
As AI is developing rapidly, it has become a big part of our life and will greatly change the future job world. AI is affecting an increasing number of jobs. So it’s important for us students to get ready.
First, we should improve our social skills, since AI can’t win clients or solve conflicts. We can volunteer at nursing homes or work as waiters to practice. Second, we’d better broaden our knowledge or dig deep into one field to become an expert. AI is like a B+ student, so we need to be better. Finally, we should develop our creativity to do big things AI can’t do, like pushing new ideas.
I believe by doing these, we can work well with AI and have a bright future.

I used to be shy and afraid of speaking in public. But with the help of my teachers and classmates, I have become more confident and outgoing now. I can even give speeches in front of the whole school. In terms of study, I have developed good habits like taking notes and previewing lessons, which makes me more efficient.
These changes make me stronger and more independent. I will keep improving and face the future bravely.

Hello, everyone! I’m Li Hua. This is my photo for the “Me and My School” photo contest.
This photo was taken in our school’s reading corner. In the picture, you can see my friends Mary and Jack holding English books and reading carefully.
I took this photo on an autumn morning. That day, we came to school early to practice our English speech for the school contest. The sun was shining, and the air was full of the sound of our reading. This photo is about not only the beautiful morning but also the effort we put in together, and the warm school memories with friends.
Every time I look at the photo, I remember how hard we worked and how happy we were then.
