Our world View 28 April, 2026
Lights, Camera, AI?
It looks like a scene (场景) from a famous movie. Two actors are fighting on the top of an old building. The view moves quickly, and you can hear the sound of each hit. But the scene isn’t real. Everything you see was created using artificial intelligence (AI).
AI has become so powerful that it can be hard to know what is real. The fight scene is only 15 seconds long and isn’t part of a full movie. It was a test by Robinson, a director from Ireland. He wanted to try the new Seedance 2.0 video tool. Robinson said he made this video with just a short prompt (脚本).
Robinson was excited about the result, but many directors are terrified. They worry that their jobs may disappear. One of them said, “Instead of using lots of money and giving work to hundreds of people, just one person with a computer might be able to make a whole movie.” There may be fewer jobs for people in this field. However, AI video tools such as Seedance 2.0 allow common people to turn their ideas into real works. The tool is open to anyone. If you are a good storyteller and want to see your ideas come to life, now you can. With just a few prompts, your film can show up on your screen in minutes.
But we have to know that the artificial can never fully replace the real. We love actors like Jackie Chan because they are real people with real talent. Great movies need to show real life, and you still have to see the world and talk with real people to tell such stories well. AI is only a tool. It can help our ideas grow, but it can’t develop without our ideas.
19. Where is the fight scene from?
A. A cut of a famous movie. B. A real fight between two actors.
C. A video made with AI. D. A story written by a famous writer.
20. What does the underlined word “terrified” mean?
A. Afraid. B. Happy. C. Calm. D. Excited.
21. What problem do some directors see with Seedance 2.0?
A. It is not free for anyone to use. B. It can’t turn people’s ideas into reality.
C. It can make a whole movie without prompts. D. It may take away many jobs in the film industry.
22. Which opinion might the writer agree with?
A. AI can make movies better than real people.
B. Only famous actors can make good movies.
C. Human ideas and real life matter more than AI.
D. People are expected to stop using AI to create films.
C 20. A 21. D 22. C
第一段最后一句明确指出“Everything you see was created using artificial intelligence(AI).”,这直接说明这个打斗场景是用AI制作的视频,因此答案是原文直接信息。
根据后文“They worry that their jobs may disappear.”
第三段提到导演们担心“their jobs may disappear”以及“just one person with a computer might be able to make a whole movie”,说明他们认为Seedance 2.0可能会夺走电影行业的很多工作岗位。
最后一段作者表明观点“the artificial can never fully replace the real”以及“AI is only a tool.It can help our ideas grow, but it can’t develop without our ideas.”,说明作者认为人类的创意和真实生活比AI更重要。

Auggie: (coldly, not looking at Jack) You called me a “freak” behind my back. I heard you with Julian. You only act like my friend because Mr. Tushman asked you to be nice to me!
Jack: (shocked) That’s not true! I was silly to say that. I just wanted to fit in with Julian, but I didn’t mean it. You’re my real friend!
Auggie: (eyes red) Actions speak louder than words. I don’t believe you.
(Auggie turns around and runs away. Jack stands there, sad and helpless, watching him leave.)
Scene 2: Making Up
Setting: Auggie’s living room that evening Time: Evening
(Auggie sits on the sofa, staring at his phone. Mom walks over with a cup of hot milk.)
Mom: You’re still upset with Jack? He called twice and left a message to say sorry. He even fought with Julian for you—stood up for you bravely.
Auggie: (looking up) Really? He did that for me?
Mom: Yes. True friends make mistakes, but they try to fix them. Jack cares about you. Give him a chance.
(Auggie picks up his phone, hesitates, then texts Jack. Soon, Jack replies with a smiley face: “Can we finish our science project tomorrow?” Auggie smiles.)
Auggie: (to Mom) I’ll talk to him tomorrow.
Mom: (patting his shoulder) That’s my brave boy.
(The next day, Auggie and Jack meet at school, smiling and walking together happily.)

24. How does Auggie’s attitude change?
A. Cold→Surprised→Friendly. B. Happy→Angry→Sad.
C. Cold→Bored→Excited. D. Friendly→Cold→Surprised.
25. Which could be the best title of the passage?
A. An Argument with Mom B. How to Fit in with Friends
C. Friendship in Working Together D. True Friends Fix Mistakes
B 24. A 25. D
在Scene 1中,Auggie说“You called me a ‘freak’ behind my back. I heard you with Julian.”,可以得知Auggie一开始避开Jack,是因为听到Jack在背后骂他“怪胎”,感到被背叛和伤害。
Auggie的态度变化在原文中可以找到明确依据:Scene 1部分Auggie第一次出现时,提到“coldly, not looking at Jack”,表现出冷淡的态度;Scene 1结尾部分“(eyes red) Actions speak louder than words. I don’t believe you.”,体现出惊讶与不信任;Scene 2结尾部分Auggie“smiles”,并对妈妈说“I’ll talk to him tomorrow.”,说明他已经转为愿意和解的友好态度。
全文核心主题呼应了Scene 2中妈妈的台词:“True friends make mistakes, but they try to fix them.”,故事围绕Jack犯错后主动道歉、Auggie选择原谅展开。

主语Their great products与动词think of之间是被动关系,因为前句“They knew that cooperation was the secret … success for the whole team.”
