M: Good morning, today we’ll talk about goal setting and we have a special guest here, Kate Warwick. Welcome to our program Mrs. Warwick. W: Thank you. M: So, Mrs. Warwick, can you tell us about your work in goal setting? W: Well, when it comes to goal setting, I’m really focused. For example, if I want to lose weight, I’ll get a group of close friends around me and tell them I want to lose weight and improve my health. Then I’ll take action to achieve this goal by stopping eating unhealthy foods. M: Why do you gather some close friends together? W: It’s important for me because I need support. I know I can’t do it on my own. Also, it helps because I’m able to share my problems with them. And by telling other people I really want to do this and I seek your help, they can keep you honest, I suppose. M: And why is it that most people do so badly at reaching goals? W: They lose focus. Everybody’s life is busy. There are so many happenings in everybody’s life that they might have a goal, but then something will get in the way of that. 18. What did the speaker think of the hotel’s advertisement? A. Misleading. B. Creative. C. Traditional. 19. What can we learn about the speaker’s room? A. Its shower wasn’t working. B. Its door couldn’t be closed. C. Its maintenance wasn’t timely. 20. What did the speaker imply in the end? A. The hotel fitted budget travelers. B. The quality mismatched the expense. C. The location justified the room price. A 19. C 20. M: Recently, I stayed at the Royal Inn in the town of Bright Bay. It was a disappointing experience to say the least. The hotel was not at all as advertised. On its website the pictures showed beautiful gardens. When in truth, these gardens consisted of one bed of roses next to the parking lot. The rest of the space around the hotel was taken up by a busy road and a vacant lot. A pool was advertised, but we found there was no water in it. The only promise on the website that was kept was that free Internet access would be available in the rooms. In addition, the rooms were in very poor condition. The door to my room was broken and only opened and shut with great difficulty and a loud Bang, which is just shocking. Even worse, there were muddy handprints in the shower. I felt like I needed to clean everything before I could use it. It was disgusting. If this hotel had been very cheap, perhaps the problems would be forgivable. However, it was an average priced hotel. I would never recommend it to anyone. A 2026 Local Letters for Global Change Contest Is Open! My honest answer would be, “I don’t really know.” The truth is, most of us TCKs (Third Culture Kids) — a term coined to describe “children who move between cultures before they have had the opportunity to fully develop their personal and cultural identity” — had no choice growing up but to follow our parents around the world. We’d often be told, “Pack your bags, kids. We’re moving!” and in the blink of an eye, everything would change. By the time I was 18, I had changed schools 10 times, moved countries at least 6 times, acquired a confusing accent, and developed both a love of travel and a desire for stability. Being an Indonesian-Italian, I often felt an identity crisis weighing on me in my teens. Moving to a new country after spending ten years in the UK — the longest I have lived anywhere — has brought back feelings of this cultural confusion. Growing up as a TCK isn’t as charming as many people would expect. It is both a blessing and a curse (诅咒), beautiful but unpredictable, and full of adventures. This lack of roots and stability will likely cause issues later in life. Yet kids are adaptable. After overcoming culture shock, you start to adjust and see the bigger picture. You learn that the world is much bigger than you, and that your problems are small. You also learn responsibility, respect different beliefs, and form your own opinions. Making friends and then losing touch teaches you that everything is temporary. Growing up as a TCK, you rarely realize how adaptable you are, until your older friends often comment on how “wise and mature” you are for your age. Travelling from a young age opens your eyes beyond “Hypernormalization”. It teaches that diversity is nothing to be afraid of. Growing up as a TCK was tough, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. It has shaped me to be the person that I am today — an actual “citizen of the world”. 24. How does the author usually respond to “Where are you from”? A. By stating her nationality directly. B. By admitting her uncertainty honestly. C. By explaining the TCK concept briefly. D. By describing her experiences in detail. 25. What does the author say about TCKs’ childhood? A. They enjoyed planning their moves. B. They resisted their parents’ decisions. C. They maintained their personal lifestyle. D. They were forced to adapt to sudden changes. 26. Which of the following can best describe TCKs’ experiences? A. Tough and confusing. B. Peaceful and predictable. C. Routine but eye-opening. D. Adventurous but beneficial. 27. What can be a suitable title for the text? A. Growing up as a TCK B. Challenges for Migration C. How to Become a Global Citizen D. How to Adapt to Diverse Cultures 【答案】24. B 25. D 26. D 27. 根据第一段“After ten years in London, I recently relocated to Berlin, and as is customary when making new friends, the question “Where are you from?” tends to come up. My honest answer would be, “I don’t really know.”(在伦敦生活了十年后,我最近搬到了柏林。就像结交新朋友时的惯例一样,“你来自哪里?”这个问题往往会被问到。我诚实的回答是:“我真的不知道。”)”可知,作者在被问到“你来自哪里?”时,会诚实地承认自己的不确定。故选B项。 【25题详解】 细节理解题。根据第二段“The truth is, most of us TCKs (Third Culture Kids) — a term coined to describe “children who move between cultures before they have had the opportunity to fully develop their personal and cultural identity” — had no choice growing up but to follow our parents around the world. We’d often be told, “Pack your bags, kids. We’re moving!” and in the blink of an eye, everything would change.(事实是,我们大多数第三文化孩子(TCKs)——这个术语被创造出来描述“在有机会充分发展个人和文化认同之前在不同文化之间移动的孩子”——在成长过程中别无选择,只能跟随父母环游世界。我们经常会被告知:“孩子们,收拾好你们的行李。我们要搬家了!”转眼间,一切都会改变)”可知,第三文化孩子(TCKs)的童年被迫适应突如其来的变化。故选D项。 【26题详解】 推理判断题。根据第四段中的“It is both a blessing and a curse (诅咒), beautiful but unpredictable, and full of adventures.(它既是一种祝福也是一种诅咒,美好却不可预测,充满了冒险)”以及最后一段中的“Growing up as a TCK was tough, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. It has shaped me to be the person that I am today — an actual “citizen of the world”.(作为一名第三文化孩子长大很艰难,但我无论如何都不会交换这段经历。它塑造了今天的我——一个真正的“世界公民”)”可知,第三文化孩子(TCKs)的经历充满冒险且有益处。故选D项。 【27题详解】 主旨大意题。通读全文可知,并结合根据第二段“The truth is, most of us TCKs (Third Culture Kids) — a term coined to describe “children who move between cultures before they have had the opportunity to fully develop their personal and cultural identity” — had no choice growing up but to follow our parents around the world. We’d often be told, “Pack your bags, kids. We’re moving!” and in the blink of an eye, everything would change.(事实是,我们大多数第三文化孩子(TCKs)——这个术语被创造出来描述“在有机会充分发展个人和文化认同之前在不同文化之间移动的孩子”——在成长过程中别无选择,只能跟随父母环游世界。我们经常会被告知:“孩子们,收拾好你们的行李。我们要搬家了!”转眼间,一切都会改变)”和第三段“By the time I was 18, I had changed schools 10 times, moved countries at least 6 times, acquired a confusing accent, and developed both a love of travel and a desire for stability. Being an Indonesian-Italian, I often felt an identity crisis weighing on me in my teens.(等到18岁时,我已经换了10所学校,辗转了至少6个国家,口音变得不伦不类,既爱上了旅行,又渴望安稳。作为印尼与意大利混血,我在青少年时期常常深陷身份认同危机)”可知,文章围绕第三文化孩子(TCKs)的成长经历展开,介绍了他们童年的无奈、成长中的困惑以及这段经历带来的积极影响,核心是“作为第三文化孩子的成长过程”。结合选项,A项“Growing up as a TCK(作为第三文化孩子长大)”最适合作为文章标题。故选A项。 C The evolutionary path that led to the rise of modern humans is full of twists and turns, and the latest surprise is that our species likely evolved from two ancestral populations. Scientists have long thought that modern humans emerged from a single hominin (古人类) population in Africa between 300,000 and 200,000 years ago. However, a new study led by Richard Durbin, a geneticist at the University of Cambridge revealed that two groups of hominins split apart around 1.5 million years ago, only to reunite about 1.2 million years later, initiating a genetic mixing event that resulted in the birth of modern humanity. Instead of relying on ancient remains, researchers made use of modern human DNA from the 1,000 Genomes Project. By adding that dataset to a computational algorithm (算法), they produced a structured model that displayed two ancestral populations breaking apart and getting back together in ancient times. “The fact that we can reconstruct events from hundreds of thousands or millions of years ago just by looking at DNA today is astonishing,” said Durbin. The model shows in the years after the split, one of the two groups contracted temporarily. “Immediately after the two ancestral populations split, we see a severe bottleneck in one of them — suggesting it declined to a very small size before slowly growing over a period of one million years,” Durbin said. “This population would later contribute about 80% of the genetic material of modern humans. The second group, meanwhile, contributed around 20% of the genes, many of which are located far away from the functional regions of the genome. As for the identity of these ancestral populations, an element of mystery still remains. The researchers point to Homo erectus and Homo heidelbergensis as possible candidates, but further research is needed. Still, the genetic exchange shaping the modern human genome demonstrates that human evolution has involved splits and reunions. And that’s probably not limited to humans. 28. What is the highlight of the new study? A. It rewrites human origin. B. It compares two populations. C. It maps the human genome. D. It confirms evolution timeline. 29. Which best describes the method of the study? A. Practice-focused. B. Culture-based. C. Theory-guided. D. Data-driven. 30. What can be inferred from the last two paragraphs? A. Species evolve in a clear and straight line. B. Genetic exchange may exist in other species. C. The status of the two groups has been identified. D. The two populations contributed equally in genes. 31. What is the best title of the text? A. Our Closest Ancient Cousins. B. An Ancestral Get-Together. C. The Art of Encoding Human DNA. D. The Out-of-Africa Human Journey. 【答案】28. A 29. D 30. B 31. B 【解析】 【导语】主要介绍一项新研究表明现代人类源自两支古人类族群分化又融合的演化过程,颠覆了单一族群起源的旧观点。 【28题详解】 细节理解题。根据第二段中的“Scientists have long thought that modern humans emerged from a single hominin (古人类) population in Africa between 300,000 and 200,000 years ago. However, a new study led by Richard Durbin, a geneticist at the University of Cambridge revealed that two groups of hominins split apart around 1.5 million years ago, only to reunite about 1.2 million years later, initiating a genetic mixing event that resulted in the birth of modern humanity. (长期以来,科学家一直认为,现代人类起源于三十万至二十万年前非洲的单一古人类种群。然而,剑桥大学遗传学家理查德・德宾主导的一项新研究表明,两类古人类种群约在150万年前分化,又在120万年后重新融合,由此引发的基因交融事件,最终孕育出了现代人类。)”可知,新研究打破人类单一起源的传统观点,重新阐释人类起源。 【29题详解】 推理判断题。根据第三段中的“Instead of relying on ancient remains, researchers made use of modern human DNA from the 1,000 Genomes Project. By adding that dataset to a computational algorithm (算法), they produced a structured model that displayed two ancestral populations breaking apart and getting back together in ancient times.( 研究人员并未依赖古生物遗骸,而是利用了千人基因组计划中的现代人类DNA。通过将该数据集代入运算算法,他们构建出结构化模型,还原了远古时期两个远古族群分化又融合的过程。)”可知,该研究依托数据与算法开展,是以数据为支撑的研究方式。 【30题详解】 推理判断题。根据最后一段中的“Still, the genetic exchange shaping the modern human genome demonstrates that human evolution has involved splits and reunions. And that’s probably not limited to humans.( 尽管如此,这场塑造了现代人类基因组的基因交流表明,人类进化历程中一直存在种群的分化与融合,且这种现象可能并非人类独有。)”可知,人类的族群分化融合与基因交流现象,大概率也存在于其他物种当中。 【31题详解】 主旨大意题。通读全文,尤其是第二段中的“However, a new study led by Richard Durbin, a geneticist at the University of Cambridge revealed that two groups of hominins split apart around 1.5 million years ago, only to reunite about 1.2 million years later, initiating a genetic mixing event that resulted in the birth of modern humanity. (然而,剑桥大学遗传学家理查德・德宾主导的一项新研究表明,两类古人类种群约在150万年前分化,又在120万年后重新融合,由此引发的基因交融事件,最终孕育出了现代人类。)”可知,文章围绕远古两类古人类族群分裂、重逢融合并孕育现代人类展开,核心是远古祖先族群的汇合交融,因此“An Ancestral Get-Together(远古族群的交融)”最贴合全文主旨,适合作为最佳标题。 D Human-driven climate change poses one of the most urgent challenges of our time, while individuals’ decisions (e.g. how often people fly, what type of car they drive) play a substantial role in achieving net zero emissions. However, people hold widespread misperceptions regarding the effectiveness of their behaviors, affecting their commitment. Recently, a study was conducted to assess if climate action literacy (素养) interventions could influence their perceptions and willingness to act. The study was based on 4,000 people recruited to take an online survey. A pre-test was conducted to rate their willingness to engage in the 21 carbon emission-reducing individual behaviours. Then they were randomly divided into two groups receiving climate literacy intervention. Participants in the first group were first asked to rank the effectiveness of the 21 individual behaviors, before being shown the true effectiveness ranking. The second group of participants received information about the carbon reduction potential of the same behaviors without the prediction step. During the post-test, participants in both groups, again, rated their willingness to adopt these individual behaviors. Besides, participants rated each behaviour on how easy or difficult it would be for them to engage in each item. After the intervention, clear positive outcomes emerged for both groups: they expressed significantly greater willingness to adopt climate-friendly lifestyles. However, compared with passive exposure to information, active processing of new information contributes more to updating people’s beliefs. The study also highlighted what really motivated people to act in their personal lives. People will engage in lifestyle changes especially because they think it’s easy to do, no matter how effective they are. “The study is part of a broader research program investigating how scalable, low-cost interventions can affect behavior.” Vlasceanu, a professor of environmental social sciences, said. “Climate change can be solved through choices and changes involving large numbers of people. Future experiments may compare literacy-based strategies with emotional appeals or personal storytelling to determine which approaches most effectively enhance individual engagement.” 32. What does the study focus on? A. How climate change threatens our daily life. B. Whether individual decisions affect carbon emissions. C. How misunderstandings of environment get corrected. D. Whether guidance affects people’s environmental decisions. 33. What’s the process of the experiment according to paragraph 2? A. Pre-test→Group Division→Literacy Intervention→Post-test B. Pre-test→First Assessment→Methods Instruction→Post-test C. Pre-test→Group Division→Instant Practice→Group Comparison D. Pre-test→First Assessment→Instant Practice→Group Comparison 34. What can be inferred from the findings? A. People prefer effective actions to easy ones. B. Tough actions are less effective in cutting carbon. C. Active engagement leads to greater belief change. D. Behavior effectiveness is key to action willingness. 35. What is the future research mainly about according to Vlasceanu? A. Adoption of novel research approaches. B. Potential benefits of greater engagement. C. Identification of top action-driving methods. D. Practical needs of involving more participants. 【答案】32. D 33. A 34. C 35. C 【解析】 【导语】文章主要介绍了一项关于气候行动素养干预措施对人们环保行为认知与意愿影响的研究,包括研究过程、结果及未来研究方向。 【32题详解】 细节理解题。根据第一段“Recently, a study was conducted to assess if climate action literacy (素养) interventions could influence their perceptions and willingness to act.(最近,一项研究旨在评估气候行动素养干预措施是否能影响人们的认知和行动意愿。)”可知,该研究聚焦于指导干预措施是否会影响人们的环保决策。 【33题详解】 细节理解题。根据第二段“A pre-test was conducted to rate their willingness to engage in the 21 carbon emission-reducing individual behaviours. He had everything he thought he wanted: a distinguished position as an MIT professor, a loving family, and financial security. ____36____ As he looked at the life he had carefully constructed, the long, predictable road ahead stretched out before him like a straight line — a never-ending series of achievements leading ultimately to retirement, decline, and death. This prospect left him feeling anxious and unfulfilled. ____37____ He stopped running, and instead immersed himself in things that have no end point or completion: aimless walks, open conversations with friends, self-knowledge for interest (not achievements), and raising his children not as a “project to produce a successful human”, but as an enjoyable process. ____38____ Setiya’s story is a vivid example of how stepping away from unending pursuits can lift one out of a low point. When you are dealing with tough times, especially at midlife and against a backdrop of world instability, there emerges a powerful opportunity for deep positive change. ____39____ It can help people during this period to live in the moment and appreciate what’s happening right now, rather than getting caught up in worries about the future or past. The journey leads to a process called individuation. ____40____ Instead, life begins adding a qualitative dimension to the quantitative one. You start to find new sources of strength and renewal in unexplored places, and your past experiences become the foundation upon which you build your next steps, allowing you to grow and rise again in the second half of life. A. He found a way out. B. He set much clearer goals. C. Trying harder only makes matters worse. D. Yet he couldn’t shake off an empty feeling. E. Achieving more no longer holds the answer. F. The combination of all that brought him relief. G. By being more present, you can feel more grounded and satisfied. 【答案】36. D 37. A 38. F 39. G 40. E 【解析】 【导语】这篇文章主要讲述了麻省理工学院教授塞蒂亚虽拥有理想生活却深感空虚,他通过享受无终点的过程走出低谷,揭示人生应从追求成就转向追求质量的真谛。 【36题详解】 前文“He had everything he thought he wanted: a distinguished position as an MIT professor, a loving family, and financial security. (他拥有了自己认为想要的一切:在麻省理工学院担任教授的显赫职位、一个温馨的家庭以及经济上的保障。)”列举了塞蒂亚教授拥有的一切(名校职位、美满家庭、经济保障),后文“This prospect left him feeling anxious and unfulfilled. (这种前景让他感到焦虑和未得到满足。)”却描述他“感到焦虑和不满足”。D选项“Yet he couldn’t shake off an empty feeling. (但那种空虚感仍挥之不去。)”中的Yet形成强烈转折,精准衔接“物质成功”与“精神空虚”的矛盾,自然引出下文他对人生前景的迷茫。 【37题详解】 第一段结尾是“As he looked at the life he had carefully constructed, the long, predictable road ahead stretched out before him like a straight line — a never-ending series of achievements leading ultimately to retirement, decline, and death. (当他审视自己精心构建的生活时,那条漫长而规律的未来之路在他面前像一条直线般延伸着——一条永无止境的成就之路,最终通向退休、衰退和死亡。)”塞蒂亚陷入人生低谷,第二段开头“He stopped running, and instead immersed himself in things that have no end point or completion 于是他停止了奔波,转而投身于那些没有终点、没有完成之日的事情中。)”则描述他开始改变生活方式,停止追逐无尽的成就。A选项“He found a way out. (他找到了出路。)”作为过渡句,清晰地表明他从困境中找到了突破口,完美承接上文的“问题”与下文的“解决方案”。 【38题详解】 前文“aimless walks, open conversations with friends, self-knowledge for interest (not achievements), and raising his children not as a “project to produce a successful human”, but as an enjoyable process. (漫无目的地散步、与朋友的坦诚交流、为了兴趣而非成就而自我认知,以及以一种享受的过程而非“培养出一个成功的人才”的方式来养育孩子。)”详细列举了 塞蒂亚采取的一系列新的生活方式(漫无目的散步、开放式交谈、享受育儿过程等)。F选项“The combination of all that brought him relief. (所有这些因素的结合让他感到轻松。)”中的all that精准指代前文的所有行为,总结了这些改变给他带来的积极结果,收束本段内容。 【39题详解】 前文“When you are dealing with tough times, especially at midlife and against a backdrop of world instability, there emerges a powerful opportunity for deep positive change. (你面临艰难时期,尤其是在中年时期,且处于世界不稳定的大背景下时,就会出现一个强大的机会来实现深刻的积极转变。)”指出人生低谷期是深度改变的契机,后文“It can help people during this period to live in the moment and appreciate what’s happening right now, rather than getting caught up in worries about the future or past. (它能帮助人们在这一时期专注于当下,欣赏眼前正在发生的事情,而不是陷入对未来或过去的担忧之中。)”进一步解释这种改变的核心是“活在当下”。G选项“By being more present, you can feel more grounded and satisfied. (通过更加专注于当下,你就能感觉更加踏实和满足。)”中的being more present与后文的live in the moment形成同义呼应,阐明了活在当下带来的具体益处,逻辑连贯。 【40题详解】 前文“The journey leads to a process called individuation. (这段旅程会带来一个被称为“个体化”的过程。)”提到“个体化”过程,后文用Instead转折,指出生活开始从“追求数量”转向“追求质量”。E选项“Achieving more no longer holds the answer. (得到更多成就已不再能解决问题。)”直接否定了“不断追求成就”的传统人生模式,与后文的Instead形成完美的反义并列,准确概括了个体化过程的核心转变。 第三部分 语言运用(共两节,满分30分) 第一节(共15小题;每小题1分,满分15分) 阅读下面短文,从每小题所给的A、B、C、D四个选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。 I was born in a rural town. He’s just sad since Grandma passed away,” Mum replied. We drove straight to Grandpa’s in an uncomfortable silence. After dropping me off at Grandpa’s apartment, Mum headed to her appointment, promising to come to pick me up soon. Spotting me, Grandpa motioned for me to sit. We glanced up at each other now and then but didn’t say anything. “Want to watch television?” he asked. I nodded. But nothing was on. Two minutes later, he turned the TV off. We sat there, Grandpa patting his legs restlessly, and me trying to find a comfortable position on his old, soft couch. Suddenly, I felt something hard on the floor beneath the couch. I reached down and pulled it out. It was a wooden box with fancy designs carved into the sides. “Chess?” I said, surprised. “Yeah, I used to play. Do you play?” Grandpa asked. “Never,” I answered. Grandpa fell quiet for a moment, staring at the window and still tapping his legs. Then he suggested that since we had time, he could teach me how to play. I agreed casually. Grandpa opened the box, a smell of wood polish rising from inside. He taught me about all the pieces and showed me how they moved: the king could move one square in any direction, and the game was won by trapping him; pawns (兵) moved straight forward; knights (马) moved in an L-shape and could leap over other pieces... I was amazed at how patient he was. We practiced a bunch of times. He just corrected me and had me try again. Finally, when he was satisfied that I knew what to do with all the pieces, he said we were ready to play for real. 注意: (1)续写词数应为 150 个左右; (2)请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。 Our first game began and I played with full attention. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ We were really enjoying ourselves when Mum returned. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】范文 Our first game began and I played with full attention. I carefully moved each piece, recalling Grandpa’s instructions, and even tried to trap his king. Grandpa smiled gently, sometimes nodding in approval when I made a good move. When I accidentally moved a pawn wrong, he didn’t blame me but pointed it out softly and guided me to correct it. The room was no longer silent — we chatted quietly about the game, and I even heard Grandpa laugh for the first time that afternoon. I forgot my initial unwillingness and got totally absorbed in the chessboard. We were really enjoying ourselves when Mum returned. She stood at the door, smiling in surprise as she saw us leaning over the chessboard, talking and laughing. “I see you two have made friends,” she said. Grandpa looked at me warmly and patted my shoulder: “This kid is a quick learner.” I grinned, feeling a warm connection with him. As we left, I told Grandpa I would come back to play chess with him again. For the first time, I realized that Grandpa wasn’t unfriendly — he just needed someone to share his time with, and that someone could be me. 词汇激活 行为类 ①指导:guide/instruct ②想起:recall/remember ③意识到:realize/be aware of 情绪类 ①不愿意:unwillingness/reluctance ②不友好:unfriendly/unapproachable 【点睛】[高分句型1] When I accidentally moved a pawn wrong, he didn’t blame me but pointed it out softly and guided me to correct it.(运用了when引导时间状语从句) [高分句型2] For the first time, I realized that Grandpa wasn’t unfriendly — he just needed someone to share his time with, and that someone could be me.(运用了that引导宾语从句) 第1页/共1页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $ 2026年高考适应性测试 英语试卷 第一部分 听力(共两节,满分30分) 做题时,先将答案标在试卷上。录音内容结束后,你将有两分钟的时间将试卷上的答案转涂到答题卡上。 第一节(共5小题;每小题1.5分,满分7.5分) 听下面5段对话。每段对话后有一个小题,从题中所给的A、B、C三个选项中选出最佳选项。听完每段对话后,你都有10秒钟的时间来回答有关小题和阅读下一小题。每段对话读两遍。 1. 【此处可播放相关音频,请去附件查看】 What is the woman looking for? B After ten years in London, I recently relocated to Berlin, and as is customary when making new friends, the question “Where are you from?” tends to come up. How to Adapt to Diverse Cultures C The evolutionary path that led to the rise of modern humans is full of twists and turns, and the latest surprise is that our species likely evolved from two ancestral populations. D Human-driven climate change poses one of the most urgent challenges of our time, while individuals’ decisions (e.g. how often people fly, what type of car they drive) play a substantial role in achieving net zero emissions. 第二节(共5小题;每小题2.5分,满分12.5分) 阅读下面短文,从短文后的选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。 At the age of 35, Professor Setiya found himself at a crossroads. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 第1页/共1页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $这是高三年级英语听力测试第一节,听下面五段录音,每段录音后有一个小题,从题中所给的ABC3个选项中选出最佳选项。听完每段录音后,你都有10秒钟的时间来回答有关小题和阅读下一小题。每段录音播放两遍。现在你有5秒钟的时间阅读第一小题的有关内容。听下面的录音,回答第一小题。IT leaves in five minutes. IT was a disappointing experience, to say the least. The hotel was not at all as advertised on its website. The pictures showed beautiful gardens when, in truth, these gardens consisted of one set of roses next to the parking lot. Even worse, there were muddy hand friends in the shower. I felt like I needed to clean everything before I could use IT. IT was disgusting. If this hotel had been very cheap, perhaps the problems would be forgivable. However, IT was an average Price hotel. I would never recommend IT to anyone. Recently, I stayed at the royal inn in the town of bright bay. IT was a disappointing experience, to say the least.
