As a topic closely connected to real-life natural events and public safety education, this unit integrates language knowledge learning, skill training, and value guidance. It aims to help students master vocabulary and sentence patterns related to natural disasters, improve their ability to describe disaster events and express personal feelings, and cultivate their awareness of disaster prevention, self-protection, and mutual assistance in the face of emergencies. The unit follows the textbook's core design concept of "topic-oriented, activity-based, and competence-focused". It arranges teaching content around different types of natural disasters, disaster occurrence processes, emergency response measures, and post-disaster reconstruction.
