International Day of Families
The International Day of Families is celebrated on May 15th every year. It is to raise people’s attention to the happiness and progress of the family. To celebrate the 32nd International Family Day this year (2025), Family Center will hold some family activities.
Activities for the family:

Each family can choose two or three kinds of activities. When you sign up, you should make a decision. All the letters must be written by families themselves. The International Poetry (诗歌) CompetitionWorld Poetry Day is celebrated on 21 March.
This year, the International Poetry Centre is holding a poetry competition to celebrate the festival!
The competition is open to all the poets (诗人) aged 18 and over from all over the world, and they will be divided into two groups:
Open Group (open to all the poets aged 18 and over whose mother language is English)
ESL Group (open to all the poets aged 18 and over who can write in English as a second language)
The winners of each group will receive 1,000 pounds. So come on! Just get your poems ready.
RULES:
•All the poems must be works that haven’t come out yet.
•The poems will not be returned, so please keep a copy of each poem.
•The poem (s) must be in English and created by the poet himself / herself.
•The poems can be written on any proper subject. No subject on violence or drugs (暴力或毒品).
*The competition begins on 3 March and ends on 28 August.
To enter the competition, please visit the Centre Shop on our website and pay 5 pounds for each poem. Once the payment is made, please email the poem(s) to poetrycomp@center. Remember to mark Open or ESL in the top right-hand corner of the document (文档) to show which group to enter before emailing your poem (s).
