后半句but can’t help people far away(救不了远处的人)反向提示此处是近处救援,near靠近;over在正上方、against倚靠、opposite在对面,空间含义不匹配。

All About Sneezing
If you list ways to protect yourself, sneezing (打喷嚏) probably won’t be on the list. But sneezing is exactly a way your body protects you. It helps you keep away from germs and smoke. In fact, it’s your body removing harmful things.
People cannot really control their sneezes. If something tickles (使发痒) the inside of our nose, our brain takes over. It knows something bad is in the nose, so it sends a message to the body to get it out.
When we sneeze, many parts of our body work in a very short time. Usually, our eyes shut, our tongue presses against the top of our mouth, and our stomach gets tight. Next, a sudden breath of air comes out of our lungs and then our nose. As the air goes out, it carries germs and small drops of water with it.
Some unusual things can also make us sneeze. For example, some people sneeze when they look at bright light. Allergies can also cause sneezing. If people are allergic to some kinds of plants, they might sneeze a lot when the plants bloom (开花). If they are allergic to dogs or cats, they usually cannot have one as a pet.
While sneezing is good for us, it can be bad for people nearby. Sneezing is one way diseases spread. Millions of germs from one sneeze can travel up to about 8 metres at a speed of 160 kilometres per hour! These germs can stay in the air, and if other people breathe them in, they can get sick too.
If you sneeze, always cover your nose and mouth. After that, make sure to wash your hands. Sneezing helps your body protect itself, but doing these two things can help you protect everyone else!
41. Sneezing is our body’s way of telling us that we are sick.
42. When we sneeze, it affects many different parts of our body.
43. Bright light can make some people sneeze.
44. Sneezing can spread germs at a high speed up to 6 metres away.

第三段中“Usually, our eyes shut, our tongue presses against the top of our mouth, and our stomach gets tight. Next, a sudden breath of air comes out of our lungs and then our nose.”

It’s still an important part of the transport system in China. Thousands of boats use it every day to transport food and many other kinds of things.
China is now doing new work on the Grand Canal. It is making part of it deeper, so bigger ships can pass. The canal will also help to move water. There is a lot of rain in the south of China, but not so much in the north. The canal will carry lots of water from the south to the north.
The Grand Canal is much less famous than the Great Wall, and not very many visitors know it. But it sees the changes in Chinese history. It’s possible to go on a trip along some of the oldest parts of the canal. Visitors can see beautiful parts of China that others don’t see.

故填an。
所给词important是形容词,结合“the…lesson I learnt.” 故填most important。
“I used to be so quiet and shy…I would never talk about what was on my mind.”此处考查:so…that… 故填that。
所给词tell是动词原形,空格前“I am no longer afraid”提示此处应考查:be afraid to do sth“害怕做某事”,所以应用不定式to tell作宾语。故填to tell。
空格后“the help of my teachers and friends”提示此处考查:with the help of sb.“在某人的帮助下”,介词短语,指在老师和朋友的帮助下。故填with。
前一句“The thought of a challenge used to make me feel afraid”和后一句“now I want to work even harder to deal with the…that stand in my way.” 故填but。

I told her that shouting or keeping quiet wouldn’t solve problems. Instead, she could communicate with her parents calmly and explain her true feelings. I also advised her to relax by listening to music or doing sports when she felt stressed.
