The rise of artificial intelligence (AI) is changing the job market. Many people worry that AI machines will take over all human jobs. However, experts have different ideas. They say AI will not take away all our work. Instead, it will change how we work.
Repetitive tasks, such as data entry or factory lines, are being automated (自动化). With AI’s help, people do not need to do these boring jobs any more. They can spend more time on creative and thoughtful work. For example, bank workers do not just deal with simple papers. They can use AI data to advise customers on complex financial (金融的) planning.
School education is also changing because of AI. Schools now need to pay more attention to teaching students special skills. These skills are hard for machines to learn, such as critical thinking, emotional intelligence and creativity. Lifelong learning is becoming necessary as workers need to update their skills regularly.
Some old jobs will disappear with the rise of AI, but many new jobs will appear. Just as the internet created jobs that didn’t exist before (like app developers). Similarly, AI will create lots of new jobs that we cannot imagine now.
The key to success in the AI era is flexibility. Workers who can adapt and work with AI machines will do better in the future. We do not need to fear AI. We should try to show our special human advantages.
In conclusion, AI will not make humans compete with machines. The future of work is simple: humans and AI work together to create better results.
51. How will AI change the job market according to experts?
A. It will change how humans work. B. It will only affect factory workers.
C. It will make all jobs disappear in five years. D. It will stop people from learning new things.
52. What kind of tasks are being automated?
A. Making critical thinking. B. Repetitive tasks like data entry.
C. Creative writing and painting. D. Giving emotional advice to friends.
53. What does the example of “app developers” suggest?
A. The internet was a bad invention. B. AI will only create jobs related to data.
C. Bank clerks will all become app developers. D. AI will create new job opportunities we can’t imagine.
54. What is the key to success in the AI era?
A. Being the richest person. B. Avoiding using technology. C. Staying in the same job forever. D. Flexibility and the ability to adapt.
55. What skill should students focus on learning?
A. How to operate old machines. B. Critical thinking and creativity. C. Ignoring emotional intelligence. D. Memorizing large amounts of data.
A 52. B 53. D 54. D 55. B

Few of us can go a day without using something made of plastic. In fact, plastic is all around us. We use plastic bags in shops, plastic bottles for drinks and plastic packages for food, toys or many other things we buy. Most modern plastics are synthetic—not natural. They are usually made from fossil fuels (化石燃料) such as oil and natural gas. These synthetic plastics are very useful because they are easy to shape, light to carry and strong enough to last a long time.
However, the long life of plastic is not always a good thing. Most plastic products take several hundred years to biodegrade (降解). If they are not recycled properly, they can stay in the environment for a very long time. Many people throw plastic waste on the ground or into rivers. Some plastic rubbish is washed into the sea, where it floats for years. This has a terrible effect on sea animals. Fish, sea birds and even whales may eat pieces of plastic, thinking it is food. Some animals can get caught in plastic bags and may die because they cannot escape. Day by day, our oceans are being polluted, and this pollution can even harm humans when we eat seafood.
Because of these problems, scientists are now working hard to find non-synthetic alternatives (替代品) called bioplastics. Bioplastics are made from natural materials such as corn, sugarcane or vegetable oil. They can break down much faster and are less harmful to the environment. If bioplastics become widely used in the future, they may help reduce plastic pollution and make the Earth a cleaner and safer place for all living things.
56. Why can plastic be harmful to sea animals?
A. They use it to build homes. B. They do not notice it in the ocean.
C. They may mistake it for food and eat it. D. Plastic bags may produce harmful gas in the ocean.
57. Bioplastics may be made from ________?
A. B. C. D.
58. What is the main idea of the third paragraph?
A. Ways to make plastic stronger. B. How plastic factories pollute the air.
C. The advantages of using traditional plastics. D. Scientists’ efforts to create eco-friendly alternatives.
59. Which of the following statements is TRUE according to the passage?
A. Plastics only affect sea animals. B. All plastics end up as litter in the sea.
C. Synthetic plastics can break down quickly. D. Synthetic plastics can stay in the environment for hundreds of years.

In Beijing on April 19th, more than 100 humanoid robots took part in a half-marathon race against human runners. The winner, made by Honor, a Chinese phone company, finished the race in 50 minutes and 26 seconds. This time was much faster than the human world record of 57 minutes, set by Jacob Kiplimo in Lisbon last month. However, unlike the robot, Kiplimo didn’t crash into a railing (栏杆) just before the finish line!
The event was created to encourage innovation (创新) and growth in the field of robotics, a sector that is highly supported by the Chinese government. This year’s race was much bigger than last year’s. In the first race, only 21 robots joined, and only six of them finished. Many of the robots had problems such as falling down or overheating. Most of the robots were controlled by humans from a distance.
This year, the competition was tougher. Around 40% of the robots were able to race without human control. These robots were also competing for big rewards, including guaranteed orders worth over 1 million yuan (about $146,000). The prize money for the winner was 5,000 yuan (about $730). The race was a step forward for robotic technology in China.
61. What company created the winning robot?
A. Honor. B. Apple. C. Samsung. D. Xiaomi.
62. How much faster was the winning robot than the human world record holder?
A. About 5 minutes. B. About 7 minutes. C. About 9 minutes. D. About 10 minutes
63. What problem did some robots face during last year’s race?
A. They finished too early. B. They couldn’t start the race.
C. They overheated and fell down. D. They were all controlled by humans.
64. Which of the following statements is TRUE according to the passage?
A. Over 100 robots finished this year’s race. B. Last year only 6 robots completed the race.
C. The winner got 1 million yuan as prize money. D. All robots this year were controlled by humans.
65. How is the passage mainly organized?
A. By giving opinions only. B. By telling stories in time order.
C. By introducing robot companies one by one. D. By comparing this year’s race with last year’s.
A 62. B 63. C 64. B 65. D

第二段明确说“In the first race, only 21 robots joined, and only six of them finished.”

Food delivery goes back a long way. Today, food delivery is a big part of our lives. We can order all kinds of food with just a few apps on our phones. ____66____ But do you know it has a long history in China?
Food delivery started in the Han Dynasty (206 BC—AD 220). ____67____ At first, only important people could enjoy food delivery. Later, as the society developed, common people could also get this service.
In the Song Dynasty (960—1279), food delivery became very popular. Many people in cities liked to order food instead of cooking at home. The book A Dream of Splendor says there were many ready-made foods in Bianjing, which made food delivery possible. In those days, people had no phones. ____68____ Then the restaurant would send it to their homes in time.
The food delivery service in the Song Dynasty was not only convenient but also thoughtful. ____69____ It was made of two layers of porcelain with a space between them. People poured hot water into the space to keep food hot, so people could enjoy warm food even after a long delivery.
Besides, there was a special name for the people who sent food. ____70____ They worked hard to send food to every corner of the city, making people’s lives much easier.
A. The people who sent food were called “xianhan”.
B. They had to go to a restaurant or send someone to order food.
C. It is hard to imagine life without food delivery apps like Meituan and Ele.me now.
D. Unlike today’s food delivery services, the earliest food delivery was not for everyone.
E. Cooks in the Song Dynasty also invented a special dish called “wenpan” to keep food warm.
C 67. D 68. B 69. E 70. A
C“It is hard to imagine life without food delivery apps like Meituan and Ele.me now.”
D“Unlike today’s food delivery services, the earliest food delivery was not for everyone.”
B“They had to go to a restaurant or send someone to order food.”
E“Cooks in the Song Dynasty also invented a special dish called ‘wenpan’ to keep food warm.”
A“The people who sent food were called ‘xianhan’.”与空前的“special name”对应,且空后的“They”指代选项中的“The people who sent food”。
71. A: ________________________________________?
B: I’m twelve.
How old are you?
因此,问句是用来询问年龄,固定句型How old are you?(你多大了?)
72. A: Happy New Year!
B: ________________!
Happy New Year
【详解】根据“Happy New Year!” 故填Happy New Year。
73. A: ________________________________________ when you grow up, Xiaoya?
B: I’m going to be an astronaut.
What are you going to be
【详解】根据答句“I’m going to be an astronaut.”(我打算成为一名宇航员),可知A是在询问B长大后的职业规划。 What are you going to be。
74. A: Hello! ________________________________________ Li Ming?
B: This is Li Ming speaking.
May I speak to
【详解】根据答句“This is Li Ming speaking.”,答语是电话用语。英语电话中找某人常用句型“May I speak to sb.?”,符合语境。
75. A: ________________________________________ to Wuyi Mountain?
B: It was wonderful.
How was your trip
结合题干中已有的介词“to”,故填How was your trip构成完整问句“How was your trip to Wuyi Mountain?”(你在武夷山的旅行怎么样?),符合语法和语境逻辑。
VI.
76. now
________________________________________
77. be good for
________________________________________

78. The girl is cooking while the boy is playing the violin.
79. He learns English by listening to English songs.
80. The telephone was invented by Bell.
结合“做笔记”的英文“take notes”,主语用He,构成现在进行时“He is taking notes now”。 He is taking notes now.
用动名词“Drinking water”作主语,谓语用is,后接“good for health”。 Drinking water is good for (your/her/our) health.
提示词“while”引导时间状语从句,主从句都用现在进行时“is cooking”和“is playing the violin”,表示同时进行。 The girl is cooking while the boy is playing the violin.
主语He是第三人称单数,谓语用learns,后接“by listening to English songs”。 He learns English by listening to English songs.
主语“The telephone”,后接“by Bell”。 The telephone was invented by Bell.
VII.
