M: So you developed this range called “Night Jogging”. W: That’s right, and it appeals to men and women of all ages. The clothes are made from brightly colored material and have highly reflective stickers, making joggers easily visible in the dark to ensure their safety. M: Was it difficult to promote? D。 B Last summer, I decided to volunteer at à community center in a small rural town. I had always lived in the city, and the idea of spending two months in a place where life moved at a slower pace was both exciting and intimidating Little did I know, this experience would change my perspective on life and help me grow in ways I never expected. The community center served as a center for local activities, offering after-school programs for children, English classes for adults, and support for elderly residents. My main role was to assist with the children’s programs. Every morning, I helped organize games, art projects, and reading sessions. At first, I struggled to connect with the kids. Many of them were shy, and I felt unsure of how to engage them. But over time, I learned to be patient and creative. I started using storytelling and hands-on activities to capture their attention, and soon, the classroom was filled with laughter and enthusiasm. One of the most memorable moments was when a young girl named Lily, who had barely spoken a word during the first week, finally opened up. She shared her dream of becoming a teacher and even helped me lead a reading session. Seeing her confidence grow was incredibly rewarding and reminded me of the impact small actions can have. By the end of the summer, I had not only developed new skills but also gained a deeper understanding of myself. I learned to adapt to unfamiliar situations, communicate effectively with people from different backgrounds, and appreciate the simple joys of life. This experience inspired me to continue volunteering and to approach challenges with a more open mind. 24. What was the author’s primary role at the community center? A. Teaching English to adults. B. Helping with children’s programs. C. Supporting for elderly residents. D. Offering after-school programs for children. 25. What did the author do to connect with the children? A. He gave them gifts. B. He became more patient and creative: C. He organized daily games and art projects. D. He employed storytelling and practical activities. 26. How did the author feel about Lily’s progress? A. Surprised. B. Relieved. C. Fulfilled. D. Relaxed. 27. What can we learn about the author’s personal growth from the last paragraph? A. Gained self-awareness and adaptability. B. Developed a focus on technical expertise C. Strengthened commitment to community service. D. Prioritized academic achievements over experiences. B 25. D 26. C 27. 根据第二段中“My main role was to assist with the children’s programs. 根据第二段中“I started using storytelling and hands on activities to capture their attention, and soon, the classroom was filled with laughter and enthusiasm. 根据第三段中“One of the most memorable moments was when a young girl named Lily, who had barely spoken a word during the first week, finally opened up. She shared her dream of becoming a teacher and even helped me lead a reading session. Seeing her confidence grow was incredibly rewarding and reminded me of the impact small actions can have. 根据最后一段中“By the end of the summer, I had not only developed new skills but also gained a deeper understanding of myself. I learned to adapt to unfamiliar situations, communicate effectively with people from different backgrounds, and appreciate the simple joys of life. 故选A项。 C A study conducted by Cornell University examined how the use of AI in conversations impacts the way people express themselves and view each other. The researchers have found people have more efficient conversations, use more positive language and perceive each other more positively when using an AI-enabled chat tool. However, the group also found that when participants think their partner is using more AI-suggested responses, they consider that partner as less cooperative. “I was surprised to find people tend to evaluate you more negatively simply because they suspect you’re using AI to help compose text, regardless of whether you actually are,” said Jess Hohenstein, the lead researcher. “This illustrates the continuous overall doubt that people seem to have around AI.” For their first experiment, participants were asked to talk about a policy issue and assigned to one of three conditions: both participants can use smart replies; only one participant can use smart replies; or neither participant can use smart replies. Researchers found that using smart replies increased communication efficiency, positive emotional language and positive evaluations by communication partners. On average, smart replies accounted for 14.3% of sent messages. But participants whose partners suspected of responding with smart replies were evaluated more negatively than those who were thought to have typed their own responses, consistent with common assumptions about the negative implications of AI. “While AI might be able to help you write,” Hohenstein said, “it’s altering your language in ways you might not expect, especially by making you sound more positive. This suggests that by using text-generating AI, you’re giving up some of your own personal voice.” Malte Jung, an associate professor, said, “What we observe in this study is the impact that AI has on social dynamics and some of the unintended consequences that could result from integrating AI in social contexts. This suggests that whoever controls the algorithm (算法) may have influence on people’s interactions, language and insights into each other.” 28. How do the researchers draw their conclusion? A. By analyzing figures. B. By making use of AI. C. By conducting experiments. D. By completing questionnaires. 29. Which statement does Hohenstein agree with? A. AI always expresses in ways you expect. B. Algorithm will never influence people’s insights. C. Trust can be affected by using AI in conversation. D. You will regain your voice by using AI in conversation. 30. How will a person feel about suspecting his partner’s using smart replies? A. Nervous. B. Uncomfortable. C. Excited. D. Puzzled. 31. What is the text mainly about? A. Methods of using AI in conversations. B. Efficiency of using AI in conversations. C. Convenience of using AI in conversations. D. Impacts of using AI in conversations. C 29. C 30. B 31. 根据第五段中“For their first experiment, participants were asked to talk about a policy issue and assigned to one of three conditions: both participants can use smart replies; only one participant can use smart replies; or neither participant can use smart replies. Researchers found that using smart replies increased communication efficiency, positive emotional language and positive evaluations by communication partners. 根据第三段中“However, the group also found that when participants think their partner is using more AI-suggested responses, they consider that partner as less cooperative.(然而,该小组还发现,当参与者认为他们的搭档使用了更多人工智能建议的回答时,他们会认为对方不太合作)”和第四段中“‘I was surprised to find people tend to evaluate you more negatively simply because they suspect you’re using AI to help compose text, regardless of whether you actually are,’ said Jess Hohenstein, the lead researcher. ‘This illustrates the continuous overall doubt that people seem to have around AI.’ 根据第四段中“‘I was surprised to find people tend to evaluate you more negatively simply because they suspect you’re using AI to help compose text, regardless of whether you actually are,’ said Jess Hohenstein, the lead researcher. 通读全文,特别是根据第一段“A study conducted by Cornell University examined how the use of AI in conversations impacts the way people express themselves and view each other. D Proper questioning has become a lost art. The curious four-year-old asks a lot of questions—incessant streams of “Why?” and “Why not?” might sound familiar—but as we grow older, our questioning decreases. In a recent survey of more than 200 of our clients, we found that those with children estimated that 70-80% of their kids’ dialogues with others were comprised of questions. But those same clients said that only 15-25% of their own interactions consisted of questions. Why the drop off? Think back to your time growing up and in school. Chances are that you received the most recognition or reward when you got the correct answers. Later in life, that motivator continues. At work, we often reward those who answer questions, not those who ask them. Questioning conventional wisdom can even lead to being distanced, or considered a threat. Because expectations for decision-making have gone from “get it done soon” to “get it done now” to “it should have been done yesterday”, we tend to jump to conclusions instead of asking more questions. And the unfortunate side effect of not asking enough questions is poor decision-making. That’s why it’s vital that we slow down and take the time to ask more and better questions. At best, we’ll arrive at better conclusions. At worst, we’ll avoid a lot of rework later on. Aside from not speaking up enough, many professionals don’t think about how different types of questions can lead to different outcomes. We should lead a conversation by asking the right kinds of questions, based on the problem we’re trying to solve. In some cases, we’ll want to expand our view of the problem rather than keeping it narrowly focused. In others, we may want to challenge basic assumptions or confirm our understanding in order to feel more confident in our conclusions. Therefore, asking the right kinds of questions is what counts in achieving a goal. 32. What does the underlined word “incessant” in paragraph 1 most probably mean? A. Simple. B. Random. C. Constant. D. Annoying. 33. What accounts for the decline of questioning in adulthood? A. One poses a threat to the company if they ask questions. B. Adults don’t get as many chances as they did in childhood. C. Those who question popular beliefs are thought to be wise. D. Those asking questions don’t always get positive feedback. 34. What can we infer from paragraph 3? A. Redoing is unavoidable despite thoughtful questions. B. Decisions made in a hurry may turn out to be wrong. C. Better questions can surely bring desirable outcomes. D. More attention should be paid to making conclusions. 35. What might the author continue talking about? A. Proper questions that should be raised. B. Important goals that we are to achieve. C. Right kinds of answers to the questions. D. Ways to expand our view of the problem. C 33. D 34. B 35. 根据第二段“Think back to your time growing up and in school. Chances are you received the most recognition or reward when you got the correct answers. Later in life, that motivator continues. At work, we often reward those who answer questions, not those who ask them.(回想一下你在学校的成长过程。当你得到正确答案时,你可能会得到最多的认可或奖励。在以后的生活中,这种动力会继续存在。在工作中,我们经常奖励那些回答问题的人,而不是那些提出问题的人)”可知,提问题的人不一定能得到积极的反馈是致了成年后提问的减少的原因。故选D。 【34题详解】 推理判断题。根据第三段“Because expectations for decision-making have gone from “get it done soon” to “get it done now” to “it should have been done yesterday”, we tend to jump to conclusions instead of asking more questions. And the unfortunate side effect of not asking enough questions is poor decision-making.(因为对决策的期望已经从“尽快完成”变成了“现在完成”,再变成了“昨天就应该完成”,我们倾向于直接下结论,而不是问更多的问题。没有问足够多的问题的副作用是糟糕的决策)”可知,匆忙做出的决定可能会被证明是错误的。故选B。 【35题详解】 推理判断题。根据最后一段“Therefore, asking the right kinds of questions is what counts in achieving a goal.(因此,问正确的问题是实现目标的关键)”可知,接下来要讨论应该提出适当的问题。故选A。 Communication is important in all families. Families with healthy communication form strong connections with one another. ___36___. Actually talk. ___37___ For instance, in addition to answering “Fine” when your parents ask how school went, try adding an anecdote (轶事) about the day. This will help when you need to talk about the big things. Ask them about their day. This one can help you with the first point. ___38___. If they’re stay-home parents, ask them about how the day at home went. Such small talk won’t be small to them. It’ll be a big deal, and they’ll appreciate it. Do the small things. When we say small things, we mean things like helping clear the dinner table, helping put away groceries, and not leaving personal belongings around the house. Those are little things, all of them. ___39___, which can make things between you and your parents better. Do the big things. What we mean here is the basic stuff you hear from adults all the time — show up for school, or be respectful to teachers. ___40___. That will be okay, because — based on tips 1-2 — you’ll be able to communicate about those things, clear up misunderstandings, and do better next time. Tell them you love them If you say that and hug them, well — you win. A. This tip will make them seem more real to you. B. We know you’re not perfect and you will make mistakes. C. But, if you do those things, you’ll build up lots of goodwill. D. This means taking part in real conversations with your parents. E. It’s never too late to open those lines of communication back up. F. The following tips can improve your communication with parents. G. If they are workers, ask about their jobs. F 37. D 38. G 39. C 40. 【36题详解】 分析设空,位于首段段尾,应点出本文主题,引出下文;根据前文“Communication is important in all families. Families with healthy communication form strong connections with one another.(沟通在所有家庭中都很重要。健康沟通的家庭彼此之间形成牢固的联系)”可知,提到沟通对于所有家庭都很重要,所以F项“The following tips can improve your communication with parents.(下面的建议可以提高你与父母的沟通)”承接上文,点出主题引领下文,符合语境。故选F项。 【37题详解】 设空处位于段首句;根据后文“For instance, in addition to answering “Fine” when your parents ask how school went, try adding an anecdote (轶事) about the day. This will help when you need to talk about the big things.(例如,当你的父母问你学校过得怎么样时,除了回答“很好”之外,试着加上一件关于当天的轶事。当你需要谈论大事时,这将会有所帮助)”可知,本段主要讲述了要与父母真正地有内容的交谈,而非表面上的闲聊或敷衍。所以D项“This means taking part in real conversations with your parents.(这意味着和你的父母进行真实的对话)”符合本段主旨,该选项阐述了小标题“Actually talk.(真正地交谈)”所要表达的意思,选项中的代词“This”指代小标题。故选D项。 【38题详解】 根据本段小标题“Ask them about their day.(问问他们这一天过得怎么样)”,以及根据后文“If they’re stay-home parents, ask them about how the day at home went.(如果他们是全职父母,问问他们在家里过得怎么样)”可知,此处是在举例怎么开始谈话,所以G项“If they are workers, ask about their jobs.(如果他们是工人,询问他们的工作)”符合主题,与设空处后一句的句式结构相同。故选G项。 【39题详解】 根据前文“When we say small things, we mean things like helping clear the dinner table, helping put away groceries, and not leaving personal belongings around the house. Those are little things, all of them.(当我们说小事时,我们指的是帮助清理餐桌,帮助收拾杂货,不把私人物品放在家里。这些都是小事)”可知,C项“But, if you do those things, you’ll build up lots of goodwill.(但是,如果你做了这些事情,你会建立很多善意)”是在说明,做了前文所说的小事情能够带来的好的结果,且和前文构成转折关系,符合语境。故选C项。 【40题详解】 根据前文“What we mean here is the basic stuff you hear from adults all the time — show up for school, or be respectful to teachers.(我们这里的意思是你一直从成年人那里听到的基本的东西——去上学,或者尊重老师)”可知,此处说明了你应该完成重要的事情,也就是你经常听成年人说到的事情,例如,好好上学、尊重老师,后文“That will be okay, because — based on tips 1-2 — you’ll be able to communicate about those things, clear up misunderstandings, and do better next time.(没关系,因为基于1-2条建议,你将能够就这些事情进行沟通,消除误解,并在下次做得更好)”指出:那也没关系,因为根据前两点建议,你能够好好沟通这些事情,消除误解,下次做得更好,所以B项“We know you’re not perfect and you will make mistakes.(我们知道你不是完美的,你会犯错误)”符合语境。 Sophie signed up for the baseball game. And if they’re not dreaming of it, they’ re certainly looking forward to it. It’s the young boys’ and girls’ chance to spend a beautiful night with their schoolmates and friends, an opportunity to have fun, dance, and enjoy themselves before their school years come to an end. For young Dakota Wollan, the prom night was not something he couldn’t wait for. In fact, he had no idea who to ask to go with him to the special event. When Dakota told his parents that he didn’t have anyone in mind, his dad had an idea. He figured, since Dakota’s great-grandma Madeline had never been to a prom, it would be fun to share this experience with her great-grandson. When Dakota heard the suggestion, he felt it would be an honor and unforgettable night for them both to take his beloved great-grandma! So, he decided to ask his great-grandma with a proper promposal “I have this old truck she gave me. It’s a 1985 truck she handed down to me and I got it running again. So, I took that truck and made a sign,” he recalled. When the 92-year-old woman saw the sign, she was shocked. She couldn’t find a reason why a young man would want to spend such a special night with an elderly lady. But she said “yes”. After all, Dakota had made it clear that if she didn’t go, he wouldn’t go either. So, she really didn’t have an option. Madeline explained that she only attended high school for one year and a half, because her father got sick and she had to help on the farm. In fact, she didn’t even remember if there was such a thing back at her time. So, this was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to find out what this prom is all about. Eventually, the big day came and the pair were ready to have the time of their lives. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Such an inspiring moment was posted on social networking sites. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】范文 Eventually, the big day came and the pair were ready to have the time of their lives. Dakota helped his great-grandma into his restored 1985 truck, her eyes sparkling with excitement. As they arrived at the hall, students turned to stare, whispers spreading through the crowd. But soon, their curiosity turned into admiration. The music began, and Dakota gently took Madeline’s hand, guiding her to the dance floor. Though her steps were slow, her laughter filled the room. Other students joined them, forming a circle to cheer for the extraordinary partners. Tears welled up in Madeline’s eyes as she whispered, “I never imagined I’d experience something so magical.” The touching scene was quietly filmed. Such an inspiring moment was posted on social networking sites. The video of Dakota and Madeline dancing spread like wildfire overnight, with millions praising the teen’s kindness. News outlets interviewed the family, and Madeline became a local heroine. “This isn’t just about prom,” Dakota said in an interview. “It’s about honoring those who missed their chances to shine.” The school later announced a new tradition: inviting senior citizens to proms. Years later, Madeline’s prom photo still sat proudly on her dresser, a reminder that love goes beyond generations — and that it’s never too late to create memories. 词汇激活 行为类 ①盯着看:stare/gaze ②开始:begin/start ③低声说:whisper/murmur/mutter 情绪类 ①兴奋:excitement/thrill/exhilaration ②欣赏:admiration/appreciation 【点睛】[高分句型1] As they arrived at the hall, students turned to stare, whispers spreading through the crowd. B Last summer, I decided to volunteer at à community center in a small rural town. C A study conducted by Cornell University examined how the use of AI in conversations impacts the way people express themselves and view each other. Communication is important in all families. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 第1页/共1页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $北师大万宁实验学校2025到2026学年第二学期期中考试高一英语试题听力部分第一节听下面5段对话,每段对话后有一个小题,从题中所给的ABC3个选项中选出最佳选项。 Excuse me, i'm in room two one seven, but I seem to have lost my . room card that no problem.
