根据Useful information中“Booking Requirements: For security reasons, visitors must email their full names and birth dates at least 3 days before the visit.(预订要求:出于安全原因,游客必须至少提前三天发送邮件提交全名和出生日期。)” B It was December 25, 1914, only 5 months into World War I. German, British, and French soldiers, already sick and tired of the senseless killing, disobeyed their superiors and started socializing with “the enemy” along two-thirds of the Western Front. German troops held up Christmas trees with signs, “Merry Christmas”. Thousands of troops ran across the battlefields covered with dead bodies. They sang Christmas songs, exchanged photographs of loved ones back home, shared food and even played football. Soldiers hugged men they had been trying to kill a few short hours before. They agreed to warn each other if their officers forced them to fire their weapons, and to aim high. Fear ran through the military leaders on both sides. They felt that their power was being challenged: soldiers declaring their brotherhood with each other and refusing to fight. Generals declared this unexpected peacemaking illegal and said that participating soldiers would face a military court. Those found guilty would be imprisoned or even shot. By March 1915 the socializing movement had been destroyed and the killing machine was back in full operation. Over the next three years more than fifteen million people died in the war. Not many people have heard the story of the Christmas Truce. On Christmas Day, 1988, a local radio host in Boston played “Christmas in the Trenches”, a song about the Christmas Truce, several times and was stunned by his listeners’ response. Thousands of people called in, praising the song, with many moved to tears by the amazing events it described. You can probably guess why the callers were in tears. The Christmas Truce story goes against most of what we have been taught about people. It lets us see the world as it can be and says, “This really happened once.” It shows us the potential we have as humans contradicts all of those TV and newspaper stories that tell us how mean and heartless people are. It is like hearing that our deepest wishes really are true: the world really can be different. 4. Why did the soldiers begin socializing with the enemy? A. Because they couldn’t bear the meaningless killing. B. Because it was the best way to avoid being killed. C. Because they feared that they would be caught. D. Because their enemies were from similar backgrounds. 5. How did the generals finally put an end to the soldiers’ socializing? A. They sent the soldiers’ loved ones to prison. B. They moved the two groups of soldiers further apart. C. They increased the number of officers to control the soldiers. D. They warned the soldiers that they would face severe punishment. 6. What does the underlined word “stunned” in Paragraph 4 most probably means? A. satisfied. B. shocked. C. amused. D. confused. 7. What does the author imply about human beings by using the story of the soldiers? A. They are not trustworthy under stress. B. They are naturally aggressive and war-like. C. They are basically caring and kindhearted. D. They will always do what is in their own self-interest. A 5. D 6. B 7. 根据第一段中的“German, British, and French soldiers, already sick and tired of the senseless killing, disobeyed their superiors and started socializing with “the enemy” along two-thirds of the Western Front. 故选A项。 根据第三段中的“Generals declared this unexpected peacemaking illegal and said that participating soldiers would face a military court. Those found guilty would be imprisoned or even shot.(将军们宣布这种出人意料的和解是非法的,并表示参与的士兵将面临军事法庭审判。 根据第四段中的“On Christmas Day, 1988, a local radio host in Boston played “Christmas in the Trenches”, a song about the Christmas Truce, several times and was stunned by his listeners’ response. Thousands of people called in, praising the song, with many moved to tears by the amazing events it described. 通读全文,尤其是最后一段中的“It shows us the potential we have as humans contradicts all of those TV and newspaper stories that tell us how mean and heartless people are.(它向我们展示了人类所拥有的潜能,与那些告诉我们人们多么刻薄、无情的电视和报纸报道完全相反。)” C In recent years, AI has developed at a speedy pace and changed many areas of our life. The music industry is one of them. Today, AI can do a lot of work for music. It can write songs, create melodies and make simple music in a short time. Some musicians are in favor of this new technology. AI enables them to boost their working efficiency and create new pieces of music. For example, a singer can adopt AI to make a basic beat first. Then they add their own lyrics and feelings or epiphany to the music. In this way, AI becomes a helpful tool for them. However, other musicians are worried. They claim AI music may take away their jobs. They believe real music comes from human stories, personal experiences and emotions or feelings, which also reflects their outlook on life and the world. Real music can cure people’s broken hearts and remedy their soul. Or at least real human music can fulfill their inner heart. In this way, machines can never truly understand the essence behind the music, creating robotic music. What’s more, people don’t know who owns the copyright of AI-made songs, due to which some conflicts about the issue of copyright will happen in the near future. Although there are worries, AI is already around us. It is changing how people make, sell and listen to music. Many music industry leaders believe that humans and AI should work together. If we use AI in a right way, it will help us make better music for the world. 8. What can AI do in the music industry according to the passage? A. Solve the copyright problems. B. Understand the essence of music. C. Write songs and create melodies. D. Help cure people’s broken hearts. 9. Some musicians are in favor of AI because ________. A. it can improve their work efficiency B. it can bring in more money for them C. it takes the place of human musicians D. it can create music completely on its own 10. Which of the following is one reason why some musicians worry about AI? A. AI can hardly make simple music. B. AI music is too expensive to make. C. AI makes music production slower. D. AI music lacks real human emotions. 11. What is the main idea of the passage? A. Real music can no longer satisfy listeners. B. AI has replaced human musicians completely. C. People hold different opinions on AI in music. D. Copyright issue is the only problem of AI music. C 9. A 10. D 11. 根据第一段中的“Today, AI can do a lot of work for music. It can write songs, create melodies and make simple music in a short time.(如今,人工智能可以为音乐做很多工作。 根据第二段中的“Some musicians are in favor of this new technology. AI enables them to boost their working efficiency and create new pieces of music.(一些音乐家支持这项新技术。 根据第三段中的“They believe real music comes from human stories, personal experiences and emotions or feelings, which also reflects their outlook on life and the world.(他们认为真正的音乐源于人类的故事、个人经历和情感,这也反映了他们的人生观和世界观。)”以及“In this way, machines can never truly understand the essence behind the music, creating robotic music.(这样一来,机器永远无法真正理解音乐背后的精髓,只能创作机械的音乐。)” 通读全文,尤其是第二段中的“Some musicians are in favor of this new technology.(一些音乐家支持这项新技术。)”和第三段中的“However, other musicians are worried.(然而,其他音乐家对此感到担忧。)” D The next time you find yourself in a car, driving along a winding road, why not turn on a cheerful song? It might help you recover from car sickness. A team of researchers led by neuroscientist Yilun Li at China’s Henan Institute of Science and Technology has found music may be a surprisingly effective way to reduce travel-related discomfort and dizziness. In the experiments, 30 volunteers used a machine that imitated (模仿) car driving, in which they were made to feel carsick while wearing an electroencephalograph (EEG) cap. This allowed researchers to “read” the volunteers’ brain activity in real time, as it changed from a stable state to one of carsickness, and gradually back again. Volunteers were divided into six groups. Four groups listened to a minute of music after the sick-making drive; one group listened to no music after the drive, and instead spend one minute meditating (冥想), that is, staying calm and focusing on their breathing; and one ended the drive right before volunteers were expected to feel discomfort. The researchers found that joyful music reduced symptoms of carsickness by 14% compared to the group that meditated. Soft music was the next best type. It reduced symptoms by 13.4% compared to the meditation controls. It’s difficult to evaluate how significant these changes are, as the current experiments were grounded in a small group of people with limited statistical power. Even so, the results have found music can be powerful — changing the way we feel, for better or worse. Previous studies have also shown that a favorite music can reduce symptoms of visually caused carsickness or “cybersickness” from virtual reality devices. But while some research suggests that sad music can improve mood and make us feel good, it’s possible that in some situations, it can have the opposite effect. Sad music may worsen discomfort through emotional connection, the authors suggest. In contrast, cheerful or relaxing music may help volunteers maintain a good physical state, thus improving their comfort. 12. What is the author’s purpose in writing the first paragraph? A. To give practical advice to drivers. B. To introduce a research discovery. C. To explain a new scientific theory. D. To question an old common belief. 13. How did the researchers measure the volunteers’ brain activity? A. By testing in a moving car. B. By using a special device. C. By playing different songs. D. By observing their behavior. 14. What is one disadvantage of the experiments? A. Small sample size. B. Limited music types. C. Short experiment time. D. Random volunteer subjects. 15. What is implied about music’s effect on motion sickness? A. Its emotional types define its final effect. B. It primarily addresses physical symptoms. C. Its effect relies on personal taste in music. D. It may produce unintended negative results. B 13. B 14. A 15. 根据第一段“The next time you find yourself in a car, driving along a winding road, why not turn on a cheerful song? It might help you recover from car sickness. A team of researchers led by neuroscientist Yilun Li at China’s Henan Institute of Science and Technology has found music may be a surprisingly effective way to reduce travel-related discomfort and dizziness. 根据第二段中“In the experiments, 30 volunteers used a machine that imitated (模仿) car driving, in which they were made to feel carsick while wearing an electroencephalograph (EEG) cap. This allowed researchers to “read” the volunteers’ brain activity in real time 根据第三段中“It’s difficult to evaluate how significant these changes are, as the current experiments were grounded in a small group of people with limited statistical power. 根据最后一段中“But while some research suggests that sad music can improve mood and make us feel good, it’s possible that in some situations, it can have the opposite effect. Sad music may worsen discomfort through emotional connection, the authors suggest. In contrast, cheerful or relaxing music may help volunteers maintain a good physical state, thus improving their comfort.(尽管有研究表明悲伤的音乐能够改善情绪、让人感觉良好,但作者指出,在某些情况下,它也可能适得其反。 New Year’s Eve Fun Ideas December 31 is the perfect opportunity to end the past 12 months with a bang and kick off (开始) the coming year in the most memorable way. ____16____ Whether you’re planning a big night out or a warm evening in, there are so many things to do on New Year’s Eve that will make the holiday special. The noisy hall was filled with a mix of languages and the smell of foods from around the world. I was sitting with my new classmates — Tom, Jacob, and Lizzy, exchange students from the UK and the US. As I placed my tray (托盘) down, I noticed their trays were quite different from mine. Each had their own plate of food: Tom had a sandwich, Jacob had salad, and Lizzy had noodles. My tray, however, held three different dishes — fish, fried cabbage, and sweet and sour pork — all meant to be shared. “Wow, that’s a lot of food! Are you expecting someone else to share with?” Jacob said, eyeing my tray. I laughed. “No, this is just for me and whoever wants to try. In China, we usually order several dishes and share them. We eat together from the same plates in the center of a round table.” Lizzy frowned (皱眉) slightly. “But isn’t that… a bit unhygienic (不卫生的)?” she asked carefully. “I mean, using your own chopsticks to pick food from a public plate?” Then, Tom said, “And it must be so noisy! My idea of a good meal is a quiet, peaceful environment where I can enjoy my own food. Chinese restaurants are always noisy. I don’t like it.” Jacob added, “I value my personal space, even at the dinner table. Having my own plate feels right.” Hearing their honest but critical (批判的) views, I felt a wave of defence rise within me. I wanted to immediately explain why they were wrong about us. I took a deep breath and chose to listen instead. I asked them more about their dining habits and why they valued individual plates and quiet atmospheres. They explained how meals were a private time. The more they talked, the more I understood them. It wasn’t that our way was wrong; it was just different. I realized I had an important task ahead of me. Next week, our school was holding an International Culture Sharing Fair (分享会), and I decided to show something about the deeper meaning of our dining around a round table. Paragraph 1: At the fair, I stood before my classmates, with a picture of a crowded, happy Chinese round table on the screen. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Paragraph 2: When I finished, Tom, Jacob and Lizzy nodded in agreement. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】范文 At the fair, I stood before my classmates, with a picture of a crowded, happy Chinese round table on the screen. I gently explained that Chinese shared dining is never merely about food itself. It carries deep cultural meanings of unity, warmth and harmony. A round table allows everyone to sit equally without strict rank, and sharing dishes symbolizes mutual care and closeness among family and friends. The lively chatter during meals is not noisy at all, but a natural way to exchange feelings and strengthen bonds. Besides, we actually have serving chopsticks to keep it clean, which many foreigners fail to notice at first. When I finished, Tom, Jacob and Lizzy nodded in agreement. They apologized for judging our dining culture hastily based only on their own habits. They admitted they had ignored the rich cultural values behind our eating way. They were eager to experience a real Chinese round-table dinner with me on weekends. This experience made me realize that cultural respect lies in listening and understanding, not blind judgment. Differences in lifestyle should be appreciated rather than criticized. 词汇激活 行为类 ①忽视:ignore/overlook ②象征:symbolize/represent 情绪类 ①温柔地:gently/softly ②渴望的:eager/keen 【点睛】[高分句型1] I gently explained that Chinese shared dining is never merely about food itself.(运用了that引导宾语从句) [高分句型2] Besides, we actually have serving chopsticks to keep it clean, which many foreigners fail to notice at first.(运用了which引导非限制性定语从句) 第1页/共1页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $ 琼海市嘉积中学2025—2026学年度第二学期高一年级随堂练习(二) 英语科试题 (时间:120分钟 满分:150分) 欢迎你参加这次测试,祝你取得好成绩! 1. C In recent years, AI has developed at a speedy pace and changed many areas of our life. D The next time you find yourself in a car, driving along a winding road, why not turn on a cheerful song? New Year’s Eve Fun Ideas December 31 is the perfect opportunity to end the past 12 months with a bang and kick off (开始) the coming year in the most memorable way. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 第1页/共1页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $
