3. Model Essay Analysis: Reading, Marking & Imitation (10 minutes)
1) Read and Mark (3 minutes) Show an 80–90-word model essay: From this unit, I have a new understanding of happiness. I used to think happiness was getting good grades or expensive gifts. But now I know true happiness is simple. I feel very happy when I stay with my family. When my mom cooks my favorite food, I feel warm and loved. I also feel happy when I help my friends. It makes me feel meaningful. I believe the secret of happiness is gratitude and love. We should treasure every small happy moment in life. Ask students to read silently and: circle feeling words, underline key sentences, mark linkers (but, when, also).
