学习过程
环节一 情境导入(3分钟)
1. 教师展示养老院志愿活动的视频,提问:What do you know about the elderly in nursing homes? What can we do to help them? 引导学生自由发言,激活话题。
2. 板书课题,领读课题,点明本课将学习Li Lin在养老院的志愿经历。
环节二 词汇铺垫(4分钟)
1. 出示核心词汇与短语:nursing home, challenge, communicate with, patient, understanding, face challenges, spend time with, make one’s day,教师领读并讲解词义,搭配例句帮助理解。
2. 组织学生齐读词汇,同桌互查发音,夯实基础。
环节三 课前问答:激活话题(3分钟)

• A. Do you think the elderly tend to feel lonely? → Yes, many elderly people in nursing homes may feel lonely without family around.
• B. What would you like to do for the elderly if you visit them in a nursing home? → I’d like to chat with them, read stories to them, or help with their daily activities.
2. 邀请2-3名学生分享答案,教师点评,引导学生思考关爱老人的方式。
环节四 访谈理解:问答任务(6分钟)
1. 学生默读访谈文本,理解文章大意,完成第2题的问题回答:
• A. What’s the meaning of the underlined sentence? → “Just spending a little bit of time with them could make their day.” It means even a short visit can make the elderly very happy and brighten their day.
• B. What were the challenges for Li Lin? → Sometimes it was hard to communicate with some elderly people because of their health problems.
• C. What did Li Lin learn from this experience? → She became more patient and understanding. She learned to share life experiences and wisdom with the elderly, and her life became richer.
2. 统一核对答案,引导学生在文中找到依据,理解访谈细节。
环节五 语篇任务:补全短文(6分钟)
1. 教师呈现第3题的短文和短语(face challenges, communicate with, spend time with, make one’s day),学生结合上下文完成填空:
Li Lin volunteered at a nursing home. There she helped with daily activities. She spent time with the elderly who enjoyed talking. Li Lin’s favourite part of volunteering was seeing how happy the elderly were when she visited them — even short visits could make their day. She also faced challenges. Some of the elderly had health problems and it was difficult to communicate with them. Li Lin learned a lot from volunteering at the nursing home.
2. 核对答案,教师讲解短语用法,引导学生理解语篇逻辑,巩固访谈内容。
环节六 口语与写作准备:我的志愿经历(7分钟)
教师呈现第4题的表格,引导学生梳理自己的志愿经历
