2 make sure 确保
(1)make sure 确保 后可跟that 从句(that 可省略),也可跟of+ 名词/ 代词等作宾语。
(2) (be) sure 的用法
(be) sure + about/of... 肯定/ 确定……
(be) sure + (that)/wh- 从句 确信……
(be) sure + to do... 一定……
例:She checked the smart door lock twice to make sure (that) it was locked before leaving home. 出门前,她检查了两次智能门锁,确保锁好了。
I need to make sure of the deadline for the English essay before planning my schedule. 在安排日程之前,我得先确认英语作文的截止日期。

Part3 核心句式
1 Make sure you smile and greet others in a friendly way.
in a friendly way 意为“以友好的方式”。类似短语还有in this/that way 以这种/那种方式
2 If you remember his or her name when you meet again, you can easily make that person feel comfortable.
长难句分析:这是一个复合句。If you remember... meet again 是条件状语从句,其中when you meet again 是时间状语从句;主句是you can easily...feel comfortable;make + 宾语(that person)+ 宾语补足语(feel comfortable),表示“使那个人感到舒适”。
3 Smiling can be a start to good communication.微笑可以是良好沟通的开端。
(1)分析结构: 该句为含有情态动词的主—系—表结构。主语为动名词Smiling,系动词为be,表语为a start,to good communication 为定语,修饰start。
(2)动名词(短语)作主语。直接放在句首,谓语动词用单数形式。当动名词短语较长时,用it 作形式主语,将真正的主语(动名词短语)放在句末,常见句型:It’s + 形容词/ 名词+doing sth.否定形式:在动名词前加not。

It’s no use complaining about the bad weather.抱怨糟糕的天气没用。
Not finishing homework on time leads to punishment.不按时完成家庭作业会导致受罚。
