I’m excited to share what I learned about British food culture during my time in London.
First, English breakfast is really great.It has crispy bacon, tasty sausages, baked beans,
and toast.Once, I went to a small local café.The smell of bacon filled the air, and everyone
was talking happily while eating this big meal.It’s a perfect way to start the day.
Then there’s afternoon tea.It’s served with scones (司康饼) with cream and jam, small sandwiches, along with a pot of nice⁃smelling tea.I tried it in a traditional tea shop.The quiet place made it feel special.It’s a nice time to relax and chat with friends.
London is like a big mix of different cultures, and you can taste that in the food.For example, there are amazing Indian curries here.I tried a chicken curry in a little restaurant.The rich flavors showed how different cultures come together in Britain.
Pubs (酒馆) are also good places to eat.Pub food like steak and ale pie (啤酒派) is delicious, full of local flavors.
British food culture is a mix of old traditions and new influences.Every dish has a story.I am so happy
