Digital detox,a term widely used in recent years, refers to a planned break from all digital devices, including smartphones, notebooks, computers and social media platforms. It is not about stopping using technology completely, but about taking back control of how we use it.Unlike a sudden and extreme break,a proper digital detox is flexible and practical, allowing us to balance online convenience and real-life happiness. A 2026 survey by the China Youth Research Center shows that 72%of teenagers who tried a two-week digital detox felt obvious improvements. They reported better sleep,as blue light from screens no longer caused their sleep disorders. They also became more focused on their studies, with fewer distractions from texts.More importantly, many teenagers said they reconnected with family and friends, enjoying face-to-face conversations that they had ignored before due to being glued to screens. Starting a digital detox doesn't have to be difficult. You can set clear rules: keep your phone in another room while studying, avoid screens for an hour before bed,and spend weekends doing offline activities like hiking, reading or playing sports with friends. It's normal to feel the desire to check your phone at first, but sticking to the plan will bring long-term benefits. In a world filled with digital noise, digital detox is a way to slow down and focus on what truly matters. It helps us refresh our minds, strengthen real relationships and live a more mindful life.Remember, technology is a tool to serve us,and a short break from screens can help us use it in a wiser way. 24.What is the main idea of Paragraph 2? A.The history of digital detox. B.The harm of too much screen time. C.The definition and purpose of digital detox D.The popularity of digital detox among teenagers. 25.What does the underlined word "distractions"in Paragraph 3 refer to? A.Decisions changing plans B.Feelings bringing happiness. C.Materials promoting learning. D.Things breaking one's concentration. 26.What can we infer about digital detox from the text? A.Offline activities are popular on weekends. B.It is extremely hard to start a digital detox C.People should never use phones before bedtime. D.Following the rules patiently pays off in the future 第4页共10页 27.What is the writer's attitude towards digital detox? A.Supportive.B.Doubtful. C.Negative. D.Unconcerned. C Across North America, mountain lions, bears, and gray wolves have made a remarkable comeback over the last 50 years.Once nearly extinct, these animals have been recovering their populations and returning to the landscapes they historically wandered, thanks to protections like the Endangered Species Act,and reintroduction programs. The ecological impact of recovering these large carnivores(食肉动物)is potentially huge, partly because of the way they could help to balance ecosystems by keeping prey(猎物)populations under control. One famous example is a study from Yellowstone National Park in the early 2000s,showing that the return of gray wolves helped forests recover by scaring deer away from habitats where they might otherwise eat little trees. The study gained international media attention as an illustration of an ecology concept called"trophic cascade(营养级联),”where the introduction or removal of an animal at one level of the food chain creates a series of effects throughout. However, further research in Yellowstone National Park and elsewhere has presented an unclear picture of whether, when and how such impacts have occurred across North America.Chris Wilmers,a wildlife ecologist who studies large carnivores, has been carefully tracking these developments. "The Yellowstone trophic cascade example has really been oversimplified in the media,"he said."The scientific evidence today shows that there are many factors at work,so the effects we're seeing can't neatly be owed to the reintroduction of wolves." To help address the issue,Wilmers led a team of scientists to develop a new paper that analyzes findings of more than 170 studies from the 1940s to the modern era, figuring out the ecological impacts of large carnivores in North America and what further research is still needed. This approach allowed the team to evaluate the weight of evidence in a way that can help to guide the future direction of both research and wildlife management. 28.What happened to large carnivores in North America 50 years ago? A.Their populations increased. B.They were close to extinction. C.They didn't adapt to the landscapes. D.They were reintroduced to the wild. 29.How did gray wolves help forests recover in Yellowstone? A.They stayed away from deer. B.They killed many deer directly. C.They frightened deer away from young trees. D.They balanced the food chain by eating plants. 第5页共10页 30.What is the purpose of Wilmers'new study? A.To attract media attention. B.To reintroduce more gray wolves. C.To analyze impacts and guide future work. D.To record the findings of studies in the 1940s 31.What is the best title for the text? A.Research on Yellowstone's Forests B.Ways to Protect Endangered Animals C.Reintroduction of Gray Wolves in Yellowstone D.Return of Large Camnivores in North America 第二节(共5小题;每小题2.5分,满分12.5分) 阅读下面短文,从短文后的选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。选项 中有两项为多余选项。 Get a Dog,Live Longer? Not everyone likes having dogs, because taking care of them calls for a great deal of time, money and energy.32 Research over the years has shown that dog owners are likely to enjoy better health and live longer than those who don't have dogs. Studies have found that owning a dog is connected with lower blood pressure and a lower risk of heart disease.A 2019 research review also reported that dog owners had a 24 percent lower risk of death from any cause within 10 years.Even the American Heart Association has supported the idea that dog ownership can help reduce heart disease risk.33 Why do dogs bring such health benefits? One important reason is physical activity.34A study found that most dog owners who walk their dogs get enough weekly exercise. However, not all dog owners walk their pets regularly, and the health benefits are not the same for everyone. 35 Living with a dog helps fight loneliness and isolation, especially for people living alone. It can greatly improve people's mental health, which in turn is good for physical health. Some studies also show that cat owners may get similar health benefits from their pets. Of course, keeping a pet needs much time, money and love. There are also stressful moments like pet training and high medical costs.36 For many people, the happiness and health benefits they get from their pet dogs are truly worth it. A.But the joy they bring is unforgettable B.Dogs need daily walks and outdoor activities. C.But do you know they can help us live longer? D.Another key reason is about mental well-being E.People without dogs seldom take regular exercise F.Dog owners enjoy outside movement in their daily life G.All these findings fully prove the health benefits of keeping dogs. 第6页共10页 第三部分语言运用(共三节,满分45分) 第一节(共15小题:每小题1分,满分15分) 阅读下面短文,从每题所给的A、B、C、D四个选项中选出可以填入空白 处的最佳选项。 When my two-year relationship fell apart,I was totally at a loss about how to get my life back on track.37 to win Chad back,I stopped taking care of myself, doing less exercise and even skipping lessons. My family and fiiends were deeply concerned to see me in low spirits and stepped in,which 38 me that if I worked on myself,Chad would come back to me.I 39 running again since I once was a good high school runner and I 40 a half-marathon,hoping to win my love back after finishing it. W: I feel awful. I’m afraid I’ve got a temperature. M: Let me feel your head… Yes, a little hot. (1) You should go back to bed and relax. Text 2 W: It was kind of you to clean the windows and take out the rubbish. But you’ve left a lot of water on the kitchen floor. (2) M: Oh dear. Sorry, I’ll clean it up. W: Fine. It’s important to remember to tidy up after completing a task. Text 3 W: And this is one of the most famous paintings by Wassily Kandinsky. M: Oh, I’ve always enjoyed his works. They’re so colorful. W: Definitely. The painting is full of movement. But what I enjoy most is that it makes me feel both curious and inspired at once. (3) ★ 瓦西里·康定斯基(Wassily Kandinsky)是俄罗斯画家和艺术理论家,被普遍认为是西方抽象艺术的先驱之一。 Text 4 M: So, what exactly are you looking for? W: Nothing fancy. I’ll only use it for doing my homework. So, it just needs to be able to connect to the Internet. I tend to play games and watch TV shows on my phone, not a computer. (4) Text 5 W: Where were you this morning, Keith? M: Oh, I saw my friend George. We used to be part of the same tennis club. He brought his dog, and we went for a walk together in the park. I haven’t seen him for ages! (5) Text 6 (第6题为推断题) W: I’m back, dear! I saw a poster about a summer camp while I was at the supermarket. M: Oh? For the kids? W: Yes. I took a photo of it on my phone. Here, take a look. M: Swimming, art activities, bike riding… Sounds perfect! W: I have looked at the website earlier. It costs $400 per child. (7) M: Well, $1200 is a lot. (7) But it means we don’t have to take too much time away from work. Text 7 (第9题为总结题) W: What’s the most beautiful place you’ve ever been to on your travels? M: That’s a difficult question! I’ve seen so many amazing places…the Grand Canyon in the U.S., Australia’s Great Barrier Reef… But probably the most breathtaking place I’ve ever been to is right here in China…the Hulunbuir Grassland. (8) W: Oh, in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous(自治的) Region? M: Yeah. The wide, clear skies and the way the wind blows through the grass... It is like something out of a dream! W: Wow!
