Part2 单元语法
一 when 引导的时间状语从句
在句中作时间状语的从句称为时间状语从句。常用的引导词有when(当……时)、while(当……时)、as(在……时)、before(在……之前)、after(在……之后)、until/till(直到……)、since(自……以后)、as soon as(一……就……)等。本单元主要讲解when 引导的时间状语从句。
考点1 用法
1. 表示某个具体时刻:从句描述的时间是一个明确的时间点,主句动作在这个时间点发生。
例:When the clock struck twelve, all the lights went out. 当钟敲响十二点时,所有的灯都灭了。
2. 表示某个时间段:从句描述的是一个持续的时间范围,主句动作在这个时间段内发生。
例:When I was a child, I often played in the park. 当我还是个孩子的时候,我经常在公园里玩。
3. 表示两个动作同时发生:从句和主句的动作几乎是同时进行的。
例:When she sings, her sister dances. 她唱歌的时候,她妹妹就跳舞。
4. 表示一个动作在另一个动作之后发生:有时“when”引导的从句动作先发生,主句动作随后发生,有“……之后”的意味。
例:When he finished his homework, he went to bed. 他完成作业后,就去睡觉了。
考点2 时态搭配原则
1. 主句是一般现在时,从句一般根据实际情况决定(主现从随)
例:I want to travel all over the world when I make a lot of money. 等我赚了很多钱,我想去环游世界。
2. 主句是过去时或过去进行时,从句一般用过去时态(主过从过)
例:My mother was cooking dinner when I got home.我到家时,妈妈正在做晚饭。
3. 主句是祈使句/ 一般将来时,从句一般用一般现在时(主将/ 祈从现)
例:Please call me when you get there.你到那儿后,请给我打电话。
I will write to you when I arrive in Beijing.我到北京后会给你写信。
考点3 when 与while 的辨析
1.when表示“当……的时候;这时/ 那时”(时间可长可短,侧重“时间点”或“时间段”),可接短暂性动词(如come、start、stop)或延续性动词(如read、work)
例:I was reading when the phone rang.电话铃响时,我正在看书。
When he gets up, he drinks a glass of water. 他起床后会喝一杯水。
2.while表示“当……期间;与此同时”(侧重“时间段”,强调主句动作在从句动作进行中发生),只能接延续性动词(如sleep、study、cook),且常用进行时态(be doing)
例:While my mom was cooking, I was doing homework. 妈妈做饭时,我在写作业。
She listened to music while she walked. 她走路时听音乐。
二 where 引导的地点状语从句
在句中作地点状语的从句称为地点状语从句,常用的引导词有where、wherever 等。本单元主要讲解where 引导的地点状语从句。
考点1 用法
地点既包括具体地点,也包括抽象地点。
例:He found his lost key where he had a picnic last week.他在上周野餐的地方找到了丢失的钥匙。
Where there is a will, there is a way. 有志者,事竟成。
考点2 时态搭配原则
从句时态根据实际语境选择(一般现在时、一般过去时等)。
例:Where the sun shines, the plants grow well.在阳光照耀的地方,植物长得很好。(主从句均为一般现在时)
They built a hospital where there was no medical service before. 他们在以前没有医疗服务的地方建了一所医院。(主从句均为一般过去时)
考点3 where 引导的状语从句与where 引导的定语从句的辨析
用法
例句
where 引导的状语从句
where 在从句中作地点状语,从句修饰主
句动作的地点。
Go where you want to go.去你想去的地方。
where 引导的定语从句
where 在从句中作地点状语,从句修饰前
面的名词(先行词)。
Go to the place where you want to go. 去你想去的那个地方。
特别提醒: 状语从句同状语一样,在句中的位置比较灵活,可置于句首、句中或句末。置于句首时,常用逗号和主句分开。
例:When we visited the museum, we learned a lot about history.我们参观博物馆时,学到了很多历史知识。
We decided, when the rain stopped suddenly, to take a walk along the river. 雨突然停了,我们决定沿着河边散步。
We should plant trees where there is little greenery. 我们应该在绿化少的地方种树。

With the fast development of society, we children have more opportunities to take part in practical activities after class and even earn some money.
I have tried working as a part-time tour guide to make extra money. I can not only show foreign tourists around the beautiful city, but also practise my spoken English.
