三、阅读理解(本题共20小题;每小题2分,满分40分)
第一节请认真阅读下列短文,从短文后各题所给的A、B、C、D四个选项中,选出最佳选项,并在答题卡上将该项涂黑。
A
It was the proudest moment of my life. We were waiting for instructions from ground control. The minutes seemed like hours. Finally, we took off. We were travelling so fast— it only took about 10 minutes to get into orbit (轨道). At first, it was a shock to my body. I wasn’t feeling great. However, I soon felt better. At last, we reached the space station— my new home for a while! Let me tell you what life in space is like.
Eating in space
I used to worry about the food in space.
But in fact we can choose from many types of food—some foods can be eaten in their natural forms, such as chocolate cakes and fruits, other foods require to be heated, such as chicken, beef and seafood. We have different types of tea, juice and soup as well. It turns out that eating can be a pleasure in space too!
Sleeping in space
Just like on Earth, I go to bed at a certain time. However, we usually sleep in sleeping bags that are put in a small cabin, and we have to stick our sleeping bags to the wall. This stops us from floating around the room and hitting something by mistake! Generally, we have an eight-hour sleep each day after we complete the task.
Working in space
We are very busy every day. Being an astronaut is hard because you do not experience gravity when you are in orbit. Everything floats, including you, so simple tasks seem harder and take longer to do. When we go outside, we have to move very carefully. We can’t afford to make any mistakes, so it can be stressful sometimes. However, it is an amazing experience to go outside the space station in a spacesuit. I was amazed by the beauty of space, but at the same time, I felt the weight of our mission.
Exercising in space
Exercise is an important part of our daily routine (惯例) in space. When we live in space, we start losing muscle. Exercise can slow down the muscle loss. If we do not exercise, we will be very weak when we return to the Earth. Luckily, we have a small gym on the space station to help us stay fit. To reduce the effects of weightlessness, we followed a strict exercise routine using specialized equipment (设备) to make our body strong. Usually we exercise two hours every day.
Living in space is not just all work and no play. We can have fun, too. We like to look out the window and enjoy the view. Fun plays an important role in the quality of our life.
26. What do astronauts do in space according to the passage?
A. They tie themselves to keep from floating around while sleeping.
B. They enjoy tasty seafood directly without heating.
C. They use specially designed equipment to exercise.
D. They can complete their tasks easily in a short time.
27. What is the passage mainly about?
A. How astronauts live in space.
B. How astronauts work in space.
C. What problems astronauts face in space.
D. Why astronauts need to exercise in space.
28. In which part of a newspaper can we read the passage?
A. Culture. B. Society. C. Science. D. Travel.
【答案】26. C 27. A 28. C
【解析】

A high school principal in Shenzhen, southern China’s Guangdong Province, has recently drawn widespread attention online after replying to a student’s request (请求) to remove a bird’s nest from the school grounds.
It began when a senior student at Baoan High School wrote a letter complaining that the noise of birds was disturbing (妨碍) his studies. In his letter, the student asked the school to remove the nest to ensure a quieter environment.
Instead, Yuan Weixing, the principal of Baoan High School, showed a public reply. While expressing understanding of the student’s stress and worries, Yuan refused the request.
“I understand you,” he wrote, “but I cannot agree to remove the bird’s nest. Not because I am short of sympathy (同情心), but because I hope you can understand the final purpose of education is not to make the world adapt (适应) to us, but to teach us how to live with it.”
He added that the birds are part of the school environment and witnesses to the students’ youth, encouraging them to live in harmony with nature.
The principal’s response has received mixed ideas online. Many praised his opinion, calling it “the true meaning of education” and praising the school’s values. Others argued that the great stress faced by senior students makes the request understandable.
Yuan provided a follow-up reply on Friday, saying that he had contacted the student directly and provided him with earplugs to help reduce the noise. In his opinion, as an educator, it’s his duty to guide students toward thoughtful minds.
The student later replied on social media, expressing his gratitude for the principal’s guidance and the public’s feedback. “I now have a new understanding of life and nature,” he wrote.
In an interview, Yuan noted that sometimes today’s education system focuses too heavily on scores, trying to keep all distractions (干扰) away and create a “sterile” environment for students.
“One exam can’t decide a lifetime,” he said. “Education is not about cleaning up the world, but about helping children find their place in the real world.”
Yuan suggested that true education lies in helping students develop the ability to cope with imperfections and challenges in the real world, rather than protecting them from these challenges..
29. Why did the student write the letter to the principal?
A. Because he wanted to protect the birds at school.
B. Because he hoped to get earplugs from the principal.
C. Because he thought the birds’ noise influenced his studies.
D. Because he wanted to understand the true meaning of education.
30. Which sentence uses “sterile” with the same meaning as the underlined (划线的) word?
sterile /ˈsteraɪl/ adj. ①无菌的 ②缺乏新意的 ③无结果的 ④贫瘠的
A. It turned out to be a sterile discussion.
B. Sterile land cannot be used to grow crops.
C. The doctor wore sterile gloves during the operation.
D. The classrooms are sterile, with no artwork on the walls.
31. What does the underlined sentence in the passage mean?
A. Education should make the real world adapt to students.
B. Education should help students get along with the real world.
C. Schools should create a completely quiet learning environment.
D. Students’ success depends on how well schools meet their needs.
32. Which of the following is the best title for this passage?
A. A bird’s nest with a lesson B. A principal’s wise reply
C. A student’s complaint about noise D. Noise problem at school
【答案】29. C 30. D 31. B 32. A
【解析】
【导语】本文讲述了深圳宝安中学校长袁卫星在收到学生请求移除鸟巢的信件后,回复拒绝并借此传递教育理念的故事。
【29题详解】
第二段明确指出写信原因:“It began when a senior student at Baoan High School wrote a letter complaining that the noise of birds was disturbing (妨碍) his studies.”,说明学生写信给校长是因为他认为鸟儿的噪音影响了他的学习。
【30题详解】
文中提到“sterile”的句子是“In an interview, Yuan noted that sometimes today’s education system focuses too heavily on scores, trying to keep all distractions (干扰) away and create a “sterile” environment for students.”,意思是当前教育过度关注分数,会清除所有干扰,为学生创造“sterile”环境,结合给出词义,此处“sterile”取“缺乏新意生机”的引申义,指清除所有干扰后环境单调、没有额外内容。D选项“教室墙上没有任何艺术品,十分单调”中“sterile”的含义和用法与原文一致。
【31题详解】
倒数第二段提到“Education is not about cleaning up the world, but about helping children find their place in the real world.”,结合前文校长的观点“the final purpose of education is not to make the world adapt to us, but to teach us how to live with it.”,可知这句话的含义是:教育不是帮我们清除世界上所有不顺,而是帮助我们适应、融入真实世界,和真实世界共处,对应选项B。
C
Can you imagine a paralyzed (瘫痪的) patient controlling a power wheelchair with only his thoughts? And can you imagine him directing a robotic dog to pick up a food delivery? This is not a sci-fi movie scene. It is a huge step forward from Chinese scientists’ recent clinical trials of invasive brain-computer interface (BCI) (侵入式脑机接口).
The patient became paralyzed after a fall in 2022. In June 2025, he got a BCI system. This system was made by the Center for Excellence in Brain Science and Intelligence Technology under the CAS. After a few weeks of training, he could control a computer cursor (光标) and a tablet (手写板) without difficulty.
To help the patient interact (互动) with the world better, the researchers added new technologies. They successfully made the BCI system work not only on a 2-D screen but also in the real 3-D world. For example, the patient could use his thoughts to control a wheelchair and a robotic dog instead of just moving a cursor on a computer screen. This was a new step in getting better. It helped the brain’s orders go from a 2-D screen to real, full-bodied 3-D interaction with the world.
An invasive BCI system has two parts: a front-end sensor and a back-end processor. The front-end sensor is a very thin thread. It is only 1/100 as thick as a human hair. 5 to 8 millimeters of it is put into the brain. The back-end processor is as big as a coin. It is placed in a small hollow on the skull (颅骨). Experts say the front-end sensor is like a network cable, connecting the brain to the outside world to send and receive information. The back-end processor turns the brain’s weak signals into computer instructions. In this way, paralyzed patients can use their thoughts to control external devices and live a better daily life.
Brain-computer interface is China’s completely self-developed technology. It has broken the world record in its field. It shows that China has become more powerful in high technology. We believe China will continue to lead the world in technology development.
33. Why does the writer mention the scene at the beginning of the passage?
A. To show the purpose of BCI. B. To lead into the topic of BCI.
C. To explain the patient’s thoughts. D. To describe a sci-fi movie scene.
34. Which of the following activities is 3-D interaction with the world?
A. Click the icon on the smartphone. B. Type English words on a tablet.
C. Move a cursor on a computer screen. D. Pour water from the cup and drink.
35. What does Paragraph 4 mainly talk about?
A. How the invasive brain-computer interface works.
B. How the invasive brain-computer interface improves.
C. How the invasive brain-computer interface is tested.
D. How the invasive brain-computer interface is created.
36. Which of the following best shows the structure (结构) of the passage? (①=Paragraph1…)
A. B. C. D.

①Have you heard of“the giant panda of the water”? The Yangtze River is its home. It is a very good swimmer. Flipping, nodding and jumping are easy for it in the water. It is the Yangtze finless porpoise (江豚), which lives only in the Yangtze River.
②The Yangtze River is the cradle of Chinese civilization (中华文明的摇篮). It starts from the Tanggula Mountains on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and is over 6,300 kilometers long. It flows through eleven provincial-level regions and finally runs into the East China Sea. It is China’s longest river and the third longest river in the world.
③The Yangtze River is also called “China’ s mother river”. It is very important to the environment. With ecosystems like forests and wetlands, the river is home to many plants and animals, such as giant pandas, Yangtze finless porpoises and ginkgo trees. Wetlands help protect water resources and improve water quality.
④However, in recent years, the plants and animals in the Yangtze River have faced problems because of environmental pollution. To solve this, the government made a plan in 2016 to protect the great river. In the years since then, many good changes have taken place.
⑤Thousands of factories have been closed, improved or moved away to stop polluted water from running into the river. At the same time, new green businesses have appeared. For example, in a park, a company makes paper products in a way that is 100 percent biodegradable (可分解的). Technology also helps a lot. Since 2021, Chongqing has built an AI system to watch fishing and pollution. So far, it has connected over 1,200 cameras and dozens of drones to find illegal (非法的) fishing and pollution risks.
⑥Flood control and prevention are also important for people living along the river. Now scientists use a digital twin of the Yangtze to help with floods. The digital twin uses big data, AI and the Internet of things to collect information and send it to a control center. A 3D model on the computer shows the real conditions of the river. With this system, flood warnings can be sent earlier, so people can move to safe places in time.
⑦ ▲ The main part of the Yangtze River has kept Class II water quality, which is the second best level, for six straight years. Now, we all need to start with ourselves—not littering, not pouring untreated water. If everyone did this, it would make a big difference.
37. According to the following map, what is the general flow direction of the Yangtze River?
A. From east to west.
B. From west to east.
C. From north to south.
D. From south to north.
38. How does the writer introduce the Yangtze River in Paragraph 2?

A. 3D models of Yangtze River.
B. The location of the Yangtze River.
C. The importance of the Yangtze River.

40. Which sentence should be put at the beginning of Paragraph 7?

六、阅读与回答问题(本题共5小题;每小题2分,满分10分)
请认真阅读下面短文,并根据短文内容回答问题。
On March 20, 2026, China saw a rare mix of sky events and cultural traditions. The traditional Dragon Head Raising Festival happened on the same day as the Spring Equinox (春分)—a special meeting that takes place about once every 19 years. The next one will happen in 2045.
Celebrated on the second day of the second lunar month, the Dragon Head Raising Festival gets its meaning from ancient ideas about nature and new beginnings. In Chinese stories, the dragon wakes up with spring thunder, bringing life back to the land. For many people, the day marks a fresh start and carries the promise of a good harvest.
Well-loved traditions continue across the country. Many choose to get a haircut, a practice meant to leave behind bad luck and welcome new chances. Special “dragon-themed” foods are also widely enjoyed: spring pancakes for dragon scales, noodles for dragon whiskers (龙须面), and wontons (馄饨) for dragon eyes. These dishes carry sincere wishes for health and good luck. Some families use herbs (草药) to drive away insects, expressing hopes for health and successful farming.
The Spring Equinox, one of China’s 24 Solar Terms, arrives as the sun crosses the equator (赤道), making day and night almost equal in length around the world. As temperatures rise, swallows return, and thunder becomes more common. With good weather, enough rain and bright sunshine, crops grow quickly, making the equinox very important for farming.
The coming together of these two events carries double meaning. The festival stands for rain, energy and the start of spring farming. The equinox represents balance, harmony (和谐) and natural growth. Together, they show the deep connection between Chinese culture and nature, and express people’s common hope for good weather and fruitful years.

Dear Diary,
Tim and I talked a lot about his problems today, and I’m so glad that I could help my best friend. He looked really ____11____ when he came to me after school, his eyes red and his notebook in a mess. He told me that his group project was due (到期的) next week, but he still had three important exams to prepare for. He was worried that he couldn’t finish ____12____ well and even thought about giving up the project. I listened ____13____ without stopping him, touched his shoulder and told him he wasn’t alone. It also left me thinking about what it really ____14____ to be a “good friend”. In my opinion, the following qualities form the basis of a friendship.
A good friend needs to be supportive. I can see that Tim is having trouble ____15____ his project and his schoolwork, and both are important to him—he spent weeks planning the project with his group, and he also didn’t want to get bad grades in the exams. I must respect and support the ____16____ he makes. I offered to help him review his notes for the exams every evening after school, and we made a clear plan to divide his time between study and the project. I should also ____17____ him to take action to get over these difficulties.
A good friend needs to be selfless. Tim is someone whom I should try my best to help, even if it means more work for me. When he’s struggling with his schoolwork, I should do all I can to help him become a more efficient (效率高的) learner. I ____18____ my own study methods with him, helped him sort out the key points of each subject, and even stayed late with him to finish a part of his ____19____. It’ll take up some of my spare time, but this friendship is worth my extra time and ____20____. I’m sure that Tim would do the same for me if I were in trouble.
A good friend also needs to be understanding. When Tim feels stressed and talks about his worries again and again, I never get annoyed (恼怒的). ____21____, I listen to him quietly, try to understand his feelings and tell him it’s okay to be worried. This makes him feel safe and valued. I ____22____ push him to solve all problems at once, and I always stay with him when he needs someone to talk to.

A. Culture. B. Society. C. Science. D. Travel.

A. B. C. D.
D
A. By listing numbers. B. By telling a story.
C. By comparing opinions. D. By asking questions.
39. What do Paragraph 5 and Paragraph 6 mainly talk about?
A. 3D models of Yangtze River.
B. The location of the Yangtze River.
C. The importance of the Yangtze River.
D. Ways of protecting the Yangtze River.
40. Which sentence should be put at the beginning of Paragraph 7?
A. Protection does not stop.
B. All the efforts have paid off.
C. The situation remains serious.
D. The river is facing new challenges.
