We recycle rubbish, so why not language? Recycling language means using vocabulary (词汇) that you have learned before again and again. However, unlike rubbish that piles up (堆积) in our environment, if we do not recycle language, we will forget it. So how do you recycle language? There are basically three ways to do it.
The first is through reading. Go back to your favorite articles and read them once more. Just reread them and do not worry about each vocabulary item. If there are some that you are not sure about, make a guess and you will probably guess right.
The second way to recycle is through writing. Look at some of your favorite articles and write either a short paragraph or a few sentences in your own words. Hannah: A Lover of Reading
Hannah lived in a small village. Very few people in the village could read, and Hannah was one of them. Hannah loved to explore and would spend hours in the forest looking for new things.
One afternoon, Hannah found a house. The house looked very old. Even though Hannah’s mother and brother always warned her not to go to any abandoned places, she decided to go into the old house because she really wanted to know what was in it.
She slowly opened the door and she was surprised. In front of Hannah was a room full of books! Hannah knew that she had found a hidden treasure. So Hannah picked two books and decided to read them at her home.

But what she did spread quickly and more and more people came soon.
Hannah continued her journey throughout her life. She became interested in reading. She became a hope for everyone. Now people know that even in the dustiest corner there can be a hidden treasure.
