Dear Mark,
I am sorry to hear that you meet peer pressure in your school. So I'd like to share some useful advice with you.
Firstly, you should communicate with your friends actively. You can talk to them about your hobby of ballet and your worries about study. True friends will understand and support you instead of making you feel lonely. Secondly, try to make use of your strengths. Ballet is your strength, and you can show it in class activities to let your classmates know your shining side. Besides, you can make a study plan to improve your grades step by step, which will help you build more confidence.
Just be yourself and stay relaxed. I believe you will feel better soon.
Yours,
Li Hua

One morning, Diane was taking her daily walk on a beach in Tasmania when something in the sea caught her eye. It was a glass bottle floating (漂浮) in the waves. She picked it up and found a note inside. To her surprise, the note was written in Spanish. Diane decided to find out its meaning, so she asked her brother for help. They worked word by word and translated the sentence: “Life has taught me that anything is possible.”
The note also had a name, a Colombian address and an email. Diane learned the note was from Erika, a woman from Colombia. Years ago, Erika was bored on a cruise (游轮) ship. She wrote the note, put it into a bottle and threw it into the sea. She hoped someone would find it, but the chance seemed very small. Later, she was busy with work and family. She seldom checked that old email.
Diane sent an email to Erika at once, sharing the story of finding the bottle. Months passed, but there was no reply. Diane felt disappointed and put the bottle on the shelf.
One day, Erika suddenly checked her old email and was deeply moved by Diane’s message. She wrote back excitedly and invited Diane to meet on the same beach. China is entering a new exciting era of space exploration! On January 22, Chuanyuezhe, a private aerospace (航天) company in Beijing showed a meaningful plan: its professional space tourism services will be started in 2028. The company’s self-developed spacecraft (宇宙飞船) Chuanyuezhe-1 will take tourists to the Karman Line (卡门线), which is 100 kilometers above the Earth.
Chuanyuezhe-1 can carry seven people at a time. During the 2.5-hour flight, tourists will experience 3 to 10 minutes of wonderful weightlessness (失重) and enjoy the amazing blue view of Earth on the spacecraft. Safety is the most important thing for this trip, so its “Cloud Landing System” has passed many strict tests to fully keep tourists’ safe. Each ticket for the space trip costs 3 million yuan, and people need to pay a 10% deposit (押金) to reserve a seat.
So far, more than 20 people have successfully reserved their seats for the first flight. They are from different fields like science, business and technology. Famous Chinese actor Huang Jingyu is also among them — he says it’s a great honor and will take professional training hard for the special space journey.
Space travel was once just a far dream for most people on Earth. Though the trip is still very expensive now, the company will work hard to lower the travel cost step by step, hoping more people can realize their space dreams in the near future.

A. In 2026. B. In 2028. C. In 2030.

C. To prove the company cares about tourists’ safety.
53. The underlined word “reserved” in Paragraph 3 probably means ______.
A. 保护 B. 预定 C. 服务
54. Which of the following is TRUE?
A. Tourists need to pay 300,000 yuan at first, if they want to join in the project.

C. The company can lower the cost of space travel in very short time.
55. What would be the best title for this passage?
